4 Detroit Lions suspended for gambling violations
pi2000 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gambling is why there were never any pro teams in Vegas. That's changed obviously as the league is now in bed with major gambling franchises.... simply too much money to be made. That said, I agree with the swift and severe punishment for any player who bets on the league that employees them.... this is basically insider trading, and players should continue to face severe discipline for such infractions. -
The 15 point swing that turned a blowout into a nailbiter
pi2000 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
That deep pass to Shakir was on the money, hit him perfectly in stride.... watching the replay I don't understand why Shakir jumped when the ball came in. He could've caught the ball in stride and waltzed into the end-zone untouched. For an average NFL WR that's a routine catch and score. -
I have never seen a game with so many plays ultimately blown dead after a timeout was called just prior to the snap. There were at least 3 plays, maybe 4, that went snap to completion that were then waived off entirely. Somebody correct me, but if the timeout isn't called early enough to prevent the snap, then the play counts.... is that no longer the rule?

Tua ruled out vs Buffalo, Skylar Thompson expected to start

Will they finally force Buffalo out of it's base nickel D? Miami could very well could run the ball every single play. -
....and all demons are exorcised as they SMASH Tom Brady and the Bucs in the Super Bowl.

Cancel the game and give them both a tie. -

Next year, with him and Von back, another offseason for Rousseau and the young DB's.... they could be generational. -

Khalil Shakir's Place in the Offense Going Forward
pi2000 replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
They're keeping him under the radar.... he'll be a secret weapon for the playoffs. Similar to Gabe Davis' coming out party against KC. -
So, this guy Allen.. who’d have believed what he would become?
pi2000 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Was unsure about him at the draft. After getting to know him as a person, what he values and what his goals are, I believed he'd develop quickly and improve... but never thought he'd be this good. -
I'll be there.

I'd also recommend Scharfs (potato pancakes), The Wehrle, or any Your Host... I think there's one next to Twin Fair or Two Guys.

One word... Mighty Taco

I've noticed that myself. Watching other games I'm like "man... these QB's suck", like watching a different league almost.

The big move will be getting Tre White back on the field.

A rare draft mistake by Beane. Sure, hindsight is 20/20, and I understand the need to draft a corner.... but Morse is getting long in the tooth and has a history of missing ample time due to injuury. He takes Elam when Lindebaum (BAL starting C) was available. Then in the 2nd round he picks Cook when Fortner (JAX starting C) was still available. You'd think protecting his massive investment behind center would be a priority.

Update: Xavier Rhodes signed by Bills

If he doesn't retire at half-time, I'll consider this a win. -
Allen could've passed it to Brown just as easily and he walks in untouched. We talked about this when Brown was drafted, I believe he played some TE in high school or college, at some point he'll be catching thick sixes.
