  1. I do believe you are correct. Thanks for pointing this out. Although I know that, I hadn't really taken it into consideration. Just another reason, and holds a lot more merit to get after it. I've never really understood why teams get away from what has been successful for the majority of the game and go into prevent. I might be wrong here, but it seems like when that happens, the opposing team starts to move the ball and score. Just my opinion of course. I don't have any numbers to back any of this up, it's just how it seems to me.
  2. My thoughts are that you stay on the gas pedal until the final whistle blows. Screw all the nonsense about mercy and running up the score. Send a message to the rest of the league that you're here to whoop some ass. This is competition and you compete till it's over.
  3. I've been a Bills fan since the late 80's and have never been. It's definitely on my bucket list.
  4. Who's bent out of shape? I was just replying to a post about if anyone quit listening after the part about the Bills were discussed, for those that didn't make it to the end. In fact, I agree with you. If they want the respect they will have to earn it. That will only happen by way of check marks in the "W" column. The Bills have been the underdog for so long and I see it as an opportunity to surprise opposing teams by being overlooked. If you weren't necessarily referring to me and just making a statement about it, my bad. Some people do get worked up with the lack of respect the team gets, but I don't fall into that category. I don't believe 2 wins are enough to gain anyone's respect. Who's bent out of shape? 5. At the end of the segment, the co-host, made a remark that she was skeptical about the Bills being ranked #10. Her reasoning was "because it's Buffalo ".
  6. Just heard on our local news channel (central Florida) that two teams have offered 1st round picks for JR. The teams were not identified unfortunately. Sorry if this has been posted. I didn't read through all the pages of the thread.
  7. My guess would be something relatively minor, given the fact that he was standing on the sidelines at the end of the game
  8. I would never wish injury upon anyone, however, at the same time if AB were to get his clock cleaned and get shelved for the rest of the season, it definately wouldn't hurt my feelings. Couldn't happen to a "nicer" guy. ?
  9. I thought the same thing at first and then I realized that the author was referring to Gase being a little crazy, wearing his heart on his sleeve, etc. Gives a lot more to report about and from the author's perspective, it's refreshingly awesome. At least that's how I interpreted it.
  10. He certainly seemed to be dialed in. I think his loss affected the outcome of the game. However, it created a dropoff in talent and the offense exploited it. Any other offense in NFL would do the same.
  11. They at least have a come back win now. Also good to see the young QB had the resiliency to shake off his 4 TO's and hit just enough to win. Defense did a great job today. This season is already more fun than it has been recently. Go Bills!!!
  12. It was encouraging to see the offense move the ball. Everyone seemed to be on the same page so far. Unfortunately the t/o killed the drive but it was still a nice drive.
  13. Didn't have time to read through all of the posts, but I was hoping someone could answer this. Who would you say came out on top of the joint practice? Our D vs. Their O and vice versa? TIA for the replies.
  14. You put your left hand in You put your left hand out You put your left hand in .... .... And that's what it's all about!!!!
  15. I agree with the OP. I too like to see my team win whenever they suit up. To me, it gives reason for optimism. Wether it be evaluating depth players, game management, or anything to do with the team. I understand that the W-L record during the preseason is last thing to factor in, if at all. IMO it shows that the team can work together and execute the most basic of schemes and perform.
  16. It's only a 3br, I mean, if it were a 4br then it'd be worth it. Kind of a deal breaker if you ask me. ? ?
  17. IMO, it's just two young guns going back and forth. I think it's fun to watch. Keeps a competitive fire during the off-season.
  18. 4 kids here and I have lost my sanity a long time ago...lol. Feels like I kept hitting the reset button every 4 years... (Gun to head)... lol
  19. According to the article, Bills were ranked 7th in special teams this year. https://buffalonews.com/2018/01/25/bills-special-teams-among-leagues-best-in-annual-rankings/
  20. On one hand, at least we'll get to see if it was the scheme/coach or the players and their execution.
  21. I was actually going to write pretty much what you did. I agree with your assessment of the personnel decisions. It is their doing that they have very little talent on offense. Character over talent, be a coach and take control of egos and coach your team. Nice post IMO.
  22. It was for me also, but my reason is a little backwards. My pops is from Western PA, so naturally he is a Steelers fan. I remember when I was about 7 or 8 (1984-85) and my dad was watching a game between the Bills and Steelers. I was trash talking to him and the Bills ended up winning. That was the first professional sports team that I can remember rooting for and I've been a loyal Bills fan ever since. I've never been to the state of New York much less Buffalo, although I can't wait until the opportunity presents itself. So, yes, I am a Bills fan because of my Dad.
  23. Imo, even if a person hints at retirement, some still possess a good work ethic and will put in the work and sometimes even excel, go out with a so called bang. I'm not saying that everyone has it but he strikes me as someone who does. Again, just my .02
  24. Two bullets, one being a strength and one being a weakness Strengths Good NFL arm strength and is able to get enough zip on it when it needs to go in a tight window. Weaknesses Inexplicably off target sometimes with balls being thrown behind his receiver. On throws that really need to be zipped in, he may struggle unless his velocity can improve with a more efficient throwing motion. Seems a bit contradictory. Not sure if he has the "zip" that's necessary based on this assessment
