You are not counting the 51st player after we draft someone, you're removing the cost of the 51st player from the salary, but you don't lose the 51st salary, you just replace that player with a different one. Who's the alternative? Until you find someone better, you still have a chance to make the playoffs. Vikings have a dynamic offense, but the team couldn't close out so many games last season. They are banking on the new coach to fix that. Not a horrible risk.

I'm sure someone posted this already, but not going to read through 13 pages. The Chargers were $40 million under the cap before the trade, the Bills were about $2 million with more holes to fill. This wasn't going to be a cheap restructure either, $60 million over 3 years was going to be huge, do we move much of that money to the next 2 seasons when Josh's cap number triples? Has to be better value out there.
