  1. Nobody is happy with the prospect of trading numerous picks to move up, but imagine the feeling after the draft if we go into the season with AJ and Peterman as our QB's. I wouldn't be too encouraged about the upcoming season, or 2019 for that matter. All the more reason to get to number 2. Try to get the best or 2nd best prospect.
  2. If the workout isn't absolutely necessary, it may be a risk not worth taking.
  3. Do you honestly expect to fill 3 holes with a 5th , 6th and 7th round pick? If just one of those picks would stick, that would be a huge success.
  4. I was referring to people I know that were around at the time, nobody i knew had an issue with him. They loved him.
  5. The people that I know/knew that were old enough to know at the time all thought Cookie was 2nd only to Jim Brown and I've never heard of anyone that disliked him. I'm not sure he divided the fan base that much.
  6. I don't think that's the only reason they are trying to win it all, but it's an obvious boon for the franchise to win and field a strong team. Nobody want's an empty stadium.
  7. Keep in mind also, In a couple years the Rams will have a brand new stadium with high ticket prices. Having a top team will make those seats and suites very desirable.
  8. I doubt that will happen. Fox just signed a deal to broadcast TNF for about $700 million a year, the NFL was getting about $220 million a year with the old contract. Plus new revenue streams with Verizon signing to stream more games. I think the NFL will be fine for quite some time. I read that the Rams are trying to sign him to a long term deal.
  9. I understand that. But you don't need to replace a lot of these players with $15m contracts. People also get too worked up worrying about cap space. Like I've said, I'd love to be in the Rams position right now. A strong team making a big push to be able to win it all during the next few seasons.
  10. They go into next season currently with $80 million in cap space. It will go up again and they will probably shed some contracts too. They already have a strong team. Some in buffalo are thrilled to have $100 million next season and we aren't up the Rams talent level. If we were in the Rams position, we'd be thrilled. I'm not sure I see a huge cap issue for them in 3 -4 years. Talib gone, Suh gone....$25 million right there.
  11. If they win a super bowl before that happens, then the strategy worked. Cap will be up a lot in the next few seasons, rosters change all the time. As long as you don't sign someone and then get rid of them with lot's of dead space on the books, teams should be able to manage. If I'm a Ram's fan, I'm pumped for the next few seasons.
  12. Our roster needs a star QB. I think we have stars in our secondary or at least very good players. We need to work on LB, we've already improved our DL from last season. If we get a QB, we will likely be better than our playoff team of last season.
  13. and I'm guessing they will be active, if need be. If they are pro-active, I don't see the 3-5 playoff wait being a realistic time frame
  14. I don't think anybody is happy to be in a position to possibly have to trade a number of picks to get their QB, but it's what the situation is. We can also fill holes through free agency, they've filled about 5 so far this offseason. We need a QB badly.
  15. But the Bills won't? Why other teams and not us?
  16. Not if one of them is a top 5 pick I wouldn't think
  17. Jesus was grown up on Easter. Not a baby anymore.
  18. Someone didn't find their easter basket this morning.
  19. "on the cheap" tremendous poise
  20. He's cutting the punter. That's the message he's sending?
  21. Don't know why this needs to be brought up now. Yes, Ralph was a below average owner and had a below average team most of his time as owner. Anyone alive during his whole tenure would have realized this long ago. He's gone and it's history, let him rest in peace. He wasn't a bad person, just not a good owner.
  22. What about McCoy's history says he's due for a below average year?
  23. How do you play better than the talent that you have ? Is that like giving 110% or 120%? Maybe the had enough talent to make the playoffs and other things came together at the right time to get them in.
