  1. That’s kind of my point on Metcalf. He is RAW. Josh Allen was the same type of prospect. Edmunds was the same type of prospect. They were both physical freaks with questions about their production. Beane wasn’t looking for “solid” guys with a long track record. He was looking for guys that COULD become great. Metcalf is a dice roll but would fit how Beane handled last year.
  2. I believe Metcalf is an option based on how Beane handled last year. He swung for the fences twice in the first. He took raw players with huge ceilings and pretty low floors. Metcalf is that player in this draft. I feel like Jonah is the exact opposite. He’s a safe player that will be good but never great.
  3. It’s similar to what Gunner was saying regarding grades. He may have 15 guys with a round 1 grade. Obviously, 32 guys are going to be taken there. This is similar. The Bills will have it all laid out and have eliminated the guys that have injury or off the field concerns that they deem too big of a risk. Some teams have Sweat off their board for example. He’s probably a top 10 pick.
  4. Yeldon is and always has been a backup. It’s the week of the draft where teams are looking to add young backs. He certainly isn’t holding out for a starting spot at this point. He took the best offer out there. That’s kind of what I am thinking.
  5. I may be in the minority here but think that this is worse for DiMarco than Shady. It feels like Shady is in his last year and they brought in his buddy Gore. Yeldon will be the 4th guy and a draft pick ahead of him. The Bills may move away from a fullback.
  6. I loved last night’s episode!! These characters have been intertwined for years. In many cases they were in direct conflict and here they are together, on what may be their last night. It gave them a chance to clear their souls of these burdens that have weighed on them. It was brilliant
  7. No he played pretty much 2 full seasons and had dominant moments. He was a 5-star recruit and played like it.
  8. The question is really, “offensive weapon” vs. lineman. That is the question. I voted field because I believe Oliver is their guy. That doesn’t mean that he will be there. There are a lot of options but IMO he is the target.
  9. As a Buckeye fan I always thought Nick was a better prospect than Joey. He doesn’t have the length but his technique is stellar. He’s a double digit sack guy as a rookie. He’s a high floor, high ceiling prospect which is why he can’t slip. Outside of his political opinions, which may not fit well in an NFL locker room, he’s a very safe prospect.
  10. I like DK but he is one of the most polarizing players in this draft. Some people will love him and others will worry about his short area quickness, injury and production. I’m fine with him at 9 but a lot of people won’t be. Give me talent though
  11. Sorry about that, I somehow missed the thread. I’d encourage you to try it at some point though. It is fantastic.
  12. @GunnerBill curious to hear your thoughts on Dawson Knox? He feels like a late riser and a guy that could end up on the Bills in the 3rd.
  13. My favorite side in the world may be the Ruth’s Chris sweet potato casserole and it is perfect for what you guys are doing. It is TERRIBLE for you but absolutely incredible. https://steamykitchen.com/38468-ruths-chris-sweet-potato-casserole-recipe.html
  14. I answered your question. That’s not a possibility. In the real world the conversation starts with the teams agreeing to the compensation (like the Bills with Brown). The trade is contingent upon the contract being agreed to (like the Bills with Brown). There is not a situation where a trade would happen without an extension.
  15. I’m not trying to be rude but what does that mean? In the real world, every trade would have an extension negotiated that both sides agreed too (that’s why Antonio Brown isn’t on the Bills). There is not a scenario where your concern could arise.
  16. 9 and 40?!? I already said I wouldn’t give up 9. I MAY not give up 40. I’d swap 1sts 9 for Clark and 21. I’d consider 40. I would do a 3rd & 1 of our 2 4ths.
  17. There is certainly talent on the DL in this draft. However, a guy that had 13 sacks at age 25 is what we hope these guys become. Clark IS already that guy. He has 32 sacks over the last 3 years. He’s a high end, proven, pass rusher. The cost will determine whether or not he ends up elsewhere. I’m not giving a 1st as they want. I’d swap 1sts in a second. I’d consider a 2nd and would give them a 3rd & 4th yesterday. It depends on the cost but he can play and it will be tough to get that production out of a draft pick.
  18. Antonio Brown is a cancer. He may be the biggest cancer in the league. The Bills went ALL IN on him but couldn’t make the numbers work. This regime drafted Zay Jones who clearly has some issues. There have been plenty of rumors about their interest in Frank Clark. They aren’t above winning. Also, you’ve made your feelings on Frank Clark known in the Frank Clark thread. You aren’t talking from a position of what could happen but rather what you hope happens (or doesn’t happen in this case). Clark is an option whether you like it or not. They aren’t going to give 9 but a swap of 1’s or a 2 could happen. Prepare yourself...
  19. I’m not giving ANY opinion if I want him or not. I’m saying that the Bills ARE NOT ruling out a player of Clark’s caliber because he isn’t a “process” guy. If they think the value is right they will absolutely pull the trigger. Their interest in Clark hasn’t been a secret. For the last couple of years Bills fans assumed guys with checkered pasts weren’t an option. The reality is, the Bills operate like EVERY other team in the league. If the risk is minimal they will always chase talent. They will do what KC, NE, New Orleans, etc.. do
  20. I’m not a huge pot guy. I drink alcohol way more often than I smoke pot. With that being said, I’m more than comfortable admitting that alcohol and tobacco (I used to smoke too) are WAY worse for you. Pot being on schedule 1 is a joke but it’s a joke that’s coming to an end soon.
  21. This whole “process guy” thing is the most overrated BS that we discuss. The Bills have expressed interest in a lot of guys that aren’t good character guys. Jordan Phillips was essentially released for insubordination and he’s a fan favorite. Talent >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Process
  22. I read this article on Pop yesterday and absolutely loved it. Food and wine can link people from any background. It brings people closer. Just so interesting to see how the Spurs have managed to keep that family mentality in good times and in bad.
  23. Yeah, he is the ultimate prospect. There aren’t holes in Devin White’s game.
