The way that it fell in the draft I couldn’t get the perfect guy so swung for the fences with Oliver. I also didn’t have trades so I could see the Bills moving up somewhere to get a guy like Irv Smith. I also thought about signing Eifert and praying that he stays healthy.

Below is my ideal offseason. I used fanspeak and set it to hard and don’t have trades on. He is definitely scary. Beane took two guys last year in the first with massive ceilings and low floors. I’m not saying it will happen but obviously he believes number 1 WR is a need. He was willing to add AB.

I’d lean DL but based on their efforts for AB It looks like they’d lean Metcalf. They CLEARLY have an interest in finding a number 1. He is boom or bust.

I think that this is fair. There is “a” reason that this didn’t happen. There are “reasons.” If the Billls told Antonio Brown, “We will give you 5 years, $100M and $45M guaranteed” he’d be on the Bills.

It clearly looks like that. I could see them turning their attention to Julio or AJ Green. I think that the cost in either of them is much higher though. Would a swap of 1sts and our 2nd round pick get a deal done for Julio? On the old draft value chart that’s the equivalent of pick 24. In the new draft value chart that is somewhere between picks 28-29. The question is would the equivalent of a late 1st get it done? I’m not sure that those teams are that motivated to get it done.

I didn’t read it as backpedaling as much as doubling down. Brown can blow it up. That’s what Pelissero is saying. If AB threatens to retire the deal blows up.
