  1. Anyone that thinks that Poyer and AB would be fine being in the same locker room is wrong. It’s potentially toxic and not a possibility. There is not a chance that both guys are on the roster. For some reason people think that these guys wouldn’t care. Would you work with a guy that your wife cheated on you with the day before your wedding? Of course not!! There is a trickle down too. Poyer is VERY close to Tre and Hyde. All of a sudden there are cliques and allegiances and it’s messy. It isn’t happening here. They have worked so hard to build the culture, they aren’t going to light a match to it by adding AB.
  2. This is the EXACT answer when it comes to AB. Hunt would have been a different story and apparently the Bills were lurking on that. The Bills will certainly take on the right player (even with some issues). It just won’t be AB.
  3. It’s certainly a “best case scenario” but at least there is SOME level of logic to it. The Vikings are a flawed team. If they had 3 picks in the top 50 (or whatever it is) they could do something like: Polite, Samuel and Lindstrom. I don’t think that there is a deal there to be had but the Bills should at least pick up the phone.
  4. I’ll throw a name out and it is someone that I wanted last year. How about Stefon Diggs for a 2nd? He just signed a reasonable extension and would instantly give us that #1 WR. Minnesota is up against the cap and were nowhere near the team that they expected to be. They already have Thielen (who I would take as well) and have all of that money tied up in Cousins. It may make sense for them to look to someone like Deebo Samuel in round 2 and save the $$. I’m not sure of the breakdown of Diggs contract but assuming that there’s a minimal cap hit to the Vikings it may be an option?
  5. He was hurt for much of last year. I hope that he is here to fill the Groy role. Let him be the depth guy on the interior.
  6. I’m always more interested in how many guys were mocked within about 5-10 spots from where they were selected. That tells me that the guy doing it has a pretty good handle on the value of certain players. There is so much movement that you can’t necessarily pick the teams. If you look though at the players mocked between like 5-20 that SHOULD give you a sense for the guys that the Bills will be looking at if they stay where they are.
  7. This is a new one. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone run out of patience BEFORE the start of FA.
  8. Usually they are one from each column and $15 total.
  9. Y’all can come by anytime!! I’ve had a bunch of my Buffalo friends over for Sabres games. They were over yesterday.
  10. Just realized that I haven’t updated this in a while. I am in the house now. Still working on unpacking some things and adding more stuff. So far though, I love it!!
  11. @RyanTalbotBills put this on Twitter yesterday https://www.newyorkupstate.com/expo/sports/g66l-2019/02/758e3a7e581264/be-the-gm-play-the-buffalo-bills-15-2019-free-agent-challenge.html and it looked like fun. Using this game I’ll take Brown, Maxx Williams, Paradis, Daryl Williams and Jordan Phillips.
  12. I bet Atlanta on the money line (+220). Someone let me know if I’m winning. Let’s go!!!
  13. Ha ha, I almost went with another Buckeye in McLaurin. He feels like a guy that will kick around forever. He’s just a good WR. I feel like Campbell has been a little underrated throughout the process. He has a Tyreke Hill level of explosiveness imo. He’s going to run (really) fast. Maybe he will climb then but if he’s around late in day 2 (which is possible) he’s a game changer. If you want my non-Buckeye sleeper (not that Campbell is a deep sleeper just underrated) I will go with Jazz Ferguson from Northwestern State. The school that brought us Al Edwards, Craig Nall, Demetress Bell & Terrence McGee (also Mark Duper from the Dolphins) could bring us what Kelvin Benjamin was supposed to be, a monster. He’s a former 5-star that started at LSU before transferring. There are some character concerns (failed drug test) but he’s a great, high ceiling option with one of our late round picks. https://youtu.be/pCgX9H0HMkE
  14. This is exactly what we’ve been talking about for the last few years. It’s simple supply and demand. The people in the 1st row of the 300’s have 3 options. 1) Pay the extra money 2) Cancel and someone else will pay the money 3) Move to another location and someone else fills that seat The Bills are starting to “right size.” They have been WAY underpriced in certain areas for a long, long time. You see more and more price codes as analytics have picked up. Teams are trying maximize revenue and the Bills are laying the groundwork for the new stadium (or whatever is on the horizon).
  15. Paris Campbell, he is as explosive as pretty much anyone that I can remember.
  16. Yeah, the team coming up always pays a small premium. 24 & 27 for 9 is almost perfect. I suppose the Bills could throw in one of those extra late rounders that they have to make it happen but it’s probably not necessary.
  17. They start at $1600 or $1700 (depending on a 1 or 3 year term) & go up to about $3k.
  18. One of my best friends is the COO!! I tried to talk him out of it. There’s some uncertainty where he is now but I don’t think that the arena league is more stable. These leagues are all worthless. I’m just hoping his check clears.
  19. Sure there would because of the revenue associated with it. The NFL makes TONS of money on preseason games. They have no problem throwing out the bottom of the roster for the money that it brings in. They would certainly have no interest in exposing them to that without $$. It’s all risk and minimal reward for NFL teams.
  20. 100% agree Thats my point. My buddy was the same way and has a ring and a Super Bowl loss. He stuck 6 or 7 years there for that reason. He ended up in Jacksonville and Cleveland after and didn’t stick. Those teams were terrible but wanted cheaper, young guys than a 31 year-Old JAG. The Bills have played in one playoff game in forever. They don’t need JAGs imo. They need to roll the dice and try to hit some home runs. They may have done that with Wallace and Foster. They took talented guys and gave them the chance.
  21. I’m not sure but I’d guess it has something to do with the CBA. We always charged full price for the preseason because it was extra revenue. The reality is that people get all pissy when they pay full price for the preseason. The reality is, if your preseason games were less your regular season pricing would be higher. There are revenue targets that every team is going to achieve. The pricing on the tickets is merely a placeholder. Your example is basically what would happen. If it is $80 * 10 games or $100 * 8 it ends up at the same place.
  22. There is certainly something to be said for Hogan’s intelligence and toughness. That’s why he fits in New England. That doesn’t change the fact that he doesn’t get separation and has been the same guy his whole career. He is an okay, back of the depth chart option. He plays more in New England because their receivers stink (outside of Edelman). That’s why they rolled the dice on Gordon. Maybe I do overrate physical ability but that’s how you end up with guys like Foster. He was a 5-star that was a part-time player at Alabama. He was part-time because of the other talent. He still has that raw physical ability. He easily could have been nothing but he also could easily, consistently, be 1,000 yard receiver. I’d keep cycling through guys until I found guys with that potential. In in terms of Lockett he was an All-American at K-State. His dad played in the league (at a high level). He’s a technician, with a pedigree and production. He was a relatively safe pick for all of those reasons. Again, I know I’m on a bit of an island here but it’s what I believe. I’d have never signed a guy like Vlad Ducasse because I knew who he was. I would keep throwing rocks at the Wyatt Teller’s of the world in hopes of finding a player. If not you can always get a Vlad off the street.
