  1. Are they confusing cause & effect? Think Buffalo Theory.
  2. Reminds me of the old lady playing frisbee w/ the Great Dane on a retractable leash. Edit : found it (filed under "Grandma Idiot")
  3. Yeah, what he said. (Although to clarify, it WAS a 2 yr loan. If you wanted longer duration, the rate went up.) And my reasoning is somewhat like Jacks. I paid some cash (was in a Money Mkt making 0.5%) & borrowed the rest. The 0.9% was less than I'd be making in whatever investments I'd need to liquidate to pay for the car.
  4. Depends on the rates/terms. I just got a CPO w/ 0.9 for 2 yrs. For that, yes. When I looked seems like "fair" rates were ~5%. At 5%, no, I'd use cash.
  5. Headline is misleading. Being benched implies that you were starting or at least playing. He wasn't even good enough to dress to be benched.
  6. Problem w/ building thru the draft is about all you can hope for is 2 impact players and maybe another couple of solid contributors. Note that this yr thus far we have NONE in either category IMO (they may however, improve so that by NEXT yr they're valuable). Considering we're maybe 8-10 players away, you do the math. You're right in that I think "building thru the draft" virtually ASSURES it'll take at least 3 yrs. And while that time lapses, you also lose other contributors.
  7. I got it w/ like 26 seconds to spare. It took me like 2 minutes to try to figure out how to spell "buccaneers".
  8. I have seen it in the past. I agree that it is a subjective determination. FWIW, I recall that at one time last yr, T.O. was "leading" the category & my understanding is fairly consistently is one of the league "leaders".
  9. Boomtown Rats: "I don't like Mondays", or if you prefer, a remake "I don't like Sundays". Personally, I think I get just as depressed Monday morning reading about the game.
  10. What would be beaucoup cool would be to fetch take-out w/o having to go fetch take out! Have the car go for you.
  11. How old is Phil? Young, maybe mid 40s? If he's kept himself in shape, he couldn't do much worse in pass coverage. It indeed might be an upgrade, even today.
  12. LOL. About the size of it WRT the talent that is our OLine.
  13. Unfortunately, based on what, about 10 carries? Not enough sampling to draw any valid conclusions. Depending on # of carries for instance, that 19 yd Spiller run might add maybe 1.7 yds/carry to the avg alone.
  14. What's the placekicker equivalent to "punt catcher". Like Albany said, Wade in the past has proven that he doesn't give a ticker's cuss about Special Teams.
  15. I did notice that he was moving quite quickly (backwards) on one of his 1st plays as he was getting abused by a bullrush. Beyond that, I didn't realyy notice him, so that's probably a good sign.
  16. In Chris Brown's blog: http://blogs.buffalobills.com/ a ways down, I think under "Fritz to start".
  17. I sincerely hope they haven't given up on the season... yet. At this point, Fritz gives us the best chance of having a productive offense. Likewise, unless one of the backs distinguishes themselves (one way or another) they will continue to use all 3, "roughly" equally as the situation warrants. They're saving our offense from the ineptitude that likely would result were Brohm to play now. And they're saving Spiller from wear and tear, but to the same extent that they are so doing for Marshawn & Jackson.
  18. "Our offense has been absolutely putrid and pathetic & I think Edwards is a major cause of our ineptitude." I'd be inclined to think what is missing is more than a spark, but who knows. I'm anxious to see what Fitz can do in this system. Maybe we can improve to semi-competent and productive. Can't be much worse than we have been doing.
  19. I believe we had that option. I think the way it works is a team "requests" to sign a player from your PS. You(we) then have the option of bringing him up to the 53 man roster (& presumably are required to keep him there for sometime) or allow him to be signed. Apparently, we didn't think him worthy of reserving a spot on the active roster. As someone else stated below, I think this makes it pretty obvious we're not close to dealing Marshawn. Then again, w/ this regime, who knows.
  20. At least you could root for good statistical production by OJ & Chandler. About the only thing we've got to root for now is Moorman.
  21. What's an OC gonna do other than call plays outta Chan's playbook? Granted, having an extra coach might lighten the workload on the existing coaches, but so what? I'm not too optimistic that being able to devote MORE time to preparation is gonna solve anything. I'll concede that our offense looks more "innovative" than what we've seen over the last few yrs, but its appears equally or perhaps even more inept. To what extent it's personnel &/or scheme IDK. I don't know that if you FREQUENTLY fail to make effective blocks on multiple defenders, it makes it very difficult to be productive.
  22. The way I view it, he's the backup RB, so he mostly takes handoffs in practice from the BU QB. Not the starter or the Scout QB.
  23. Now that you mention it, there is somewhat of a physical resemblance. Wasn't aware that Sacha was that tall, or that FM was short. Then again, if Mel Gibson can play William Wallace & win Oscars for it (MG is probably almost 1' shorter than WW was), accurate representation be damned.
  24. I haven't watched the replay yet, but my estimation it woulda been good from 55; 57 maybe.
  25. 1st, I'd have to ingest miniaturized, genetically altered primates capable of defying gravity. 2nd, those monkeys would have to somehow manage to make their way thru my digestive system unharmed to then fly out my butt. Seriously, other than something severely catastrophic happening to GB, I've gotta think a loss is the likely outcome.
