  1. WOW! I've greatly enjoyed the show. But I don't think I've ever had the urge to go watch an episode for a 2nd time. Until tonite. Only question is do I stay up til ~4am or can I wait til tomorrow nite to watch it?
  2. I pay over $4200 (I'm guessing close to $4500) for School & Property on a house assessed at $185k. No garbage - it's privately contracted, no sewer - septic; my water bill is less than $100/yr. I ♥ NY.
  3. I don't know how it comes into play w/ stocks & w/ most/all of trades done electronically especially, but w/ currencies it's entirely possible or at least it was in the "old days". 1st, you have the problem that in the UK, they use Billion to represent what us Americans call Million (10^6). What we call Billion, they call Milyard. When you trade currencies interbank, 10^6 is understood, ie not mentioned (eg: "What's the level on 8 Euros" means you're interested in either buying or selling 8*10^6 Euros (w/ US$)). If someone erroneously said Million, depending on who you're talking to, you might well be obligated to a trade 1000x more than you intended.
  4. I think that's actually the 2nd cellphone I had (1st was a much nicer Panasonic) IIRC, they each cost like $1k each (company paid for them). My, how times have changed. Now, phones have more non-volatile memory than PCs used to have!
  5. I think a more important issue is whether that thought (that it was a crazy move) was attributable to allegiance to Bledsoe (&/or an overly elevated opinion of his ability at that time - ie he proved in Dallas he wasn't the player he previously was) or lack of confidence in Losman's abilities &/or a general dislike of him.
  6. W/ a cursory look, I was unable to determine how long a team is alloted for their selection. (IIRC, it's been 15 minutes in past yrs for round 1). This would mean that w/ us picking 9th, we'd probably be "on the board" around 9:30-10 EDT. Anyone know? TIA
  7. I'm not a medical expert, but based on my own experience w/ a concussion, I think it possible. In addition to having some memory loss (ie I didn't know what month it was), I found it VERY difficult to speak in that it was mentally taxing. I had no problem understanding people; idk about reading or writing, it just required considerable "thought" to try to come up w/ saying a word. W/ Korean being her natural language it likely comes far easier to her than English. Additionally, if she's not truly bilingual, the process of speaking (& probably to a lesser extent, understanding) a 2nd language is different than your primary. (Other than simple repetitive Language 101 phrases, you must translate to/from your primary language b4/after processing.)
  8. Was it Bernie Lomax?
  9. What do you want refilled w/ CO2? A welding supply shop would have a tank for sale/rent.
  10. FWIW, it cost me $500 (for an independent appraisal) & NUMEROUS hrs fighting my recent assessment. (Again, thanks for your assistance on that Harvey - I still owe you a beer.) I got that back in my 1st yrs worth of school taxes alone. (Granted, it would've been better had I not needed to spend the $ or time if their initial assessment was more reasonable.) The ~$80k that Golisano will save EACH YR goes a long way toward legal bills.
  11. One explanation (which likely isn't true in most cases), is that your buying the order from one entity & another is "handling" the order. "Large" stuff is often shipped directly from the factory, the retailer never sees/touches the stuff. The retailer marks the price up & their profit is justified w/ overhead associated w/ getting the sale & "handling" the customer. The shipper does the actual "handling" & profits according. FWIW, wouldn't surprise me if they're companies that specialize in "handling" orders. Let's say you mkt some spiffy "niche product". You only sell "a few on the side". You don't want to make it a part time job handling all these orders &/or can't justifying doing it yourself, so you hire it out.
  12. Eliza Dushku was Arnold's daughter in True Lies. Alyssa Milano was his daughter in Commando.
  13. Based on the wording, it wasn't Jones. He was S&C COACH. Trainers are Bud Carpenter et al.
  14. They talk of a minimum acceptable measurement of 33" for an OT. I assume that isn't measured the same as when fitted for shirts. I'm only 6'0" & don't have particularly long arms, but I wear a 34/35. Typically, abnormally tall people have disproportionately long limbs. I gotta think that means a typical 6'5"ish OT would have ~40" shirt sleeves. 33" would be almost freakishly short.
  15. Size wise, it's quite typical. Arguably, we don't have an OC (WRT $, that's a savings) In the past, we've had 2 DB coaches (I think one concentrating on CBs, the other Ss), now we have 2 for LBs. We do have 2 "real" ST coaches (though one is designated Asst), whereas we've had an Asst in the past. Likewise, we have 2 S & C as opposed to an Asst. We recently added an "administrative asst to HC" (in addition to his personal secretary). I'll add that this guy has decent football experience, so he might be contributing as well. So I think our staff is the same as last yr (b4 the OC dismissal) & is IMO quite typical these days.
  16. you only need to fly a Flight Plan if you're flying IFR (Instrument Flight Rules), ie when controllers dictate where & how you fly. (I add that this is how it used to be - I haven't flown in a few yrs). Filing for VFR (Visual Flight Rules) is optional. However, even were you to file, AFAIK, there's no way of knowing whether or not you're authorized to fly that plane. I'll add that many GA planes are from the 60s & 70s w/ no/little theft prevention. Even if he did file, unless he was flying other than where he was supposed to, I don't see how that would raise a red flag. He could easily go "a few miles off course" and into the building in a matter of minutes.
  17. This is what I'm proposing except that it's less practical for me to switch to 120v as I'll be replacing a 240v baseboard heater. You can either purchase ready made mats w/ the wire/heating element woven into them or separate wire that you have to lay yourself (which is more work, but in this small space you have the advantage that you can manage to squeeze in a bit more wire therefore more heating capacity. IDK if a 15 sq ft mat (roughly 210 watts) is adequate to replace a 500w baseboard. I should be able to get 264 watts (you can't "cut" the system) if I lay my own wire. Personally, I don't think it's worth putting in programmable thermostats in these locations. Trivial savings vs extra effort to program them when I lose power (which is frequent ) I have these baseboards (of varying wattage) thru-out the house. I do have central A/C but no duct work to either bathroom. Mr Info, how big is your bathroom & what sort of wattage did you install? (I realize your heating requirements in VA probably aren't as much as mine here in NY.) FWIW, I'm leaning toward installing it. Not so much for the toasty feet but rather less clutter in already small, cramped spaces.
  18. Yeah, maybe that is a bit vague. My bathroom is roughly 5'x8' including tub, which yields roughly 5'x6' excluding the tub. Included in that is the toilet (floor mounted) and vanity. You're not supposed to install the heating elements either near the toilet drain (it'll melt the wax) or under an enclosure (vanity as heat will build up). Were I to buy a mat (where the wire is woven into a mesh mat), max std size I could use would be 3'x5'. Were I to get just a wire (about 80' linear ft) and lay my own pattern, I still could only cover less than 20 sq ft. When laying the wire, there's a min & max distance (2"-3") that you must maintain between "rows". 15watt/sq ft is the max allowed output of these things, so I'd be replacing a 500w heater w/ like max 250w, ie 1/2 the output.
  19. I think an important question in assessing the reasonableness of those odds, is what is the long range forecast for ambient temperature in Hell?
  20. I'm probably going to re-tile my 2 (small) bathrooms. They're currently heated w/ (glycol filled) electric baseboards (240v). For a few reasons, it's not practical to convert to 120v, so I'd be staying w/ 240v. My main question/concern is will one of these systems be adequate for heating the bathroom? Each bathroom is roughly 30 sq ft of floor plus bathtub area. I wouldn't be able to get more than about 15 sq ft of wire down which would be about 200 watts. The space is currently heated by a 500w heater. My other question is it worth the $ & effort? I'm perfectly happy w/ my baseboard system (have them thru-out the house) so the primary reason I'd be switching is aesthetics. Figure it'll cost roughly $300 doing it myself (which would mean roughly tripling the cost of this project). It'd be nice not to have the extra clutter of the heater along the wall but the bathrooms aren't exactly a thing of beauty. As background info, I live outside Albany, NY. My house is ~22 yrs old & I think worth currently about $180k. Any other input would be appreciated. TIA.
  21. Seriously? No effin way. What's next, Mike Vick's new career as a dog groomer?
  22. I realize this was "way back when", but we had a fairly successful 3-4 Dee w/ Jeff Wright playing NT. He certainly wouldn't be considered a "big guy" IMO. Perhaps we're gonna play the 3-4 in a way other than the stereotypical "fat immovable guy in the middle" way that most teams employ (usually quite succesfully) it to stop the run. Kyle Williams is coming into his own. Especially w/ Schobels future in question, IMO he's our best DLmen. NT material? IDK.
  23. 30%. But who knows why.
  24. For that matter, technically speaking, if a car is disabled (& presumably off the road), is there really a "driver"?
