  1. No, no. We need the guy who plays lacrosse now. Plus, he knows the Patriots offense form last year.
  2. I lurked for a few years before signing up. I wanted a name that encapsulated the Bills during the drought years. I won’t change it until they win it all.
  3. Ramones: You Should Never Have Opened That Door
  4. By this reasoning, the defense shouldn’t blitz a defensive back because it would cause blocking confusion for an offense. I personally hate the ineligible man downfield rule. If an offensive lineman isn’t staying in to block, then that’s a risk the offense takes.
  5. I'd guess that the bail reform issue will be talked about a lot during election season, 2022. And if things get reviewed and reversed/fixed/improved sooner than that, then all the better.
  6. Maybe they should have thought about chasing someone with an assault rifle. Seems like a bad idea.
  7. Yes, those Christmas revelers needed to have that SUV run up their backsides! Did they even have a permit to assemble like that?
  8. Not remotely the same. Nobody should be equating what happened in Kenosha to what happened in Waukesha.
  9. Is Kindness Day over? Ugh, I missed it!
  10. Yes right, don’t piss off your boss. I doubt Goodell went to his boss — Mark Davis — and said “I’m going to sandbag your head coach because I don’t like him and I have zero authority to fire him. Oh and I’m going to do it publicly and in a way that pisses off and frightens some of my other 31 bosses”. Could tun into an awShit moment for the Commissioner some day.
  11. I agree with your point but Goodell wasn’t Gruden’s boss. And it didn’t seem like Mark Davis was in the loop. Goodell couldn’t hire or fire Gruden and the way that Goodell manufactured Gruden’s resignation leaves the league in a tough spot. It’s up to Goodell to manage appearances for the NFL’s owners, and he left them with a PR mess.
  12. I’ve been reading your posts. I disagree that this case has vast societal implications. I disagree that the outcome of this case legitimizes one particular “side” or another. People want to make it that way and it is disappointing. I have no rooting interest in the outcome of this case, I just find it interesting. Couldn’t your questions be turned around and asked about the people who were shot by the Defendant? Were the people who were shot locals from Kenosha? Were they there doing lawful things just prior to being shot? Did they put themselves and others in a careless situation? Did they put themselves in a situation where the Defendant thought he had no other choice but to shoot them? If the Defendant is acquitted because he acted in self-defense, then are the people who were shot properly called “victims”?
  13. If I were a Vegas fan, I'd be extremely nervous. By the time Eichel gets back on the ice, he'll have been off it for nearly two full seasons and will have all new parts in his neck -- and then Vegas can't move him at all if he doesn't live up to expectations. The return might be underwhelming (I liked the Calgary rumor a lot more), but as long as Krebs doesn't become Hodgson II, the Sabres will have added to their roster at the same time as removing a major distraction. Once Tuch gets on the ice, he's exactly the type of player this team needs. Looks like they'll have three 1st round picks in 2022. Maybe they can make something out of that.
  14. I’m out. I forgot to choose last week.
  15. The Getzville location makes a sausage sub with hot sauce.
  16. John & Mary’s A-Bomb sub is in my regular rotation when I’m in town.
  17. Steelers over Seattle. I don’t trust the Steelers, but I do trust Geno Smith. Edit: second pick??? Green Bay over Chicago Not an easy week at all.
  18. I'm nervous about it. But I just don't like any other options. Could have done Carolina, or Tampa Bay.
  19. Week 5: New England over Houston.
  20. The only prediction I can make is that Tampa Bay is going to roll the Sox (my team). That SF/LA series should be a classic. And Houston/Chicago might be a good one, too.
