  1. Half the staff is coming from Syracuse, so the staff they field next year is going to be largely college coaches. From same team No too exhuastive. The Special Teams guy from Detroit, which I don;t think his credentials are terribly good, was a former teammate. Not very exhaustive. Seems to me he basically picked up the phone or walked down the hall for the most part. I do like the Jets D hire: that makes a lot of sense to me.
  2. + 1 Less is MORE!
  3. Well, they DID bring in Brad Smith to run the wild "scat"!!!
  4. Nix basically traded up to get a slight, undersized track star who can't catch. No LBs available in 3rd round? http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/players/1630354
  5. Wow. I almost forgot about that. I can see "missing" on a QB, or two, but Buddy has all but ignored the position via the draft, like it doesn't even exist.
  6. I guess that makes sense. I would be drafting a QB each of the next 3 three years or until getting a starter, a backup and a project/developing starter.
  7. I like the new direction of the front office so far, not sure what Buddy is actually doing. Question: How is it that Buddy has gotten a pass with three years of losing, a disaster of coaching choices, and NO NFL starter at the most important position on the field? It's not even that the Bills don't have a starting QB, he hasn't even drafted a QB in three (3) years above round 6 or 7? How is this possible?
  8. Agreed. I don't like taking a LB that high unless game-changing ability, as you mention. The Bills have other issues to address like QB, and I would rather then trade down and get extra picks. If possible: they never do.
  9. Bills daily see's it a bit differently. I think they will be needing more receivers as they will no doubt be looking for a QB that can also throw the ball. http://www.billsdaily.com/gameday/2012/ "Receivers: Stevie Johnson, Donald Jones, T.J. Graham, Brad Smith, Scott Chandler, Lee Smith, Dorin Dickerson Johnson became the first receiver in team history to have three straight 1,000 yard seasons and Chandler matched last year's total of six touchdown passes. Not much happened after that. David Nelson's ACL injury on opening day really hurt this unit. Jones was starting to finally come around before suffering a season ending injury. Graham struggled in his rookie year. Final Overall Grade D: Two years in a row of a lack of talent from this unit. "
  10. McLuvin is a huge liability on coverage, this is not going to change. If he hasn't figured it out by now, four years, it's not going to happen. He is also great on ST. If you pay for him, you have to use him as a DB, which is going to cost you big time in terms of bad plays, getting toasted.
  11. THIS !!! YEAH!!! + 10
  12. Also, I don't see one press conference making a huge difference when you have a G.M. like Buddy still running the show, dubious draft picks, and no QB.
  13. Wolverine???
  14. Yeah, Ralph stepping away is probably good, fells like it, but what else has really changed? Nix is staying on. We've seen this thing before: big changes, big shake-up, some people?
  15. Don't get me wrong, it's nice that Ralph is stepping aside after a decade of losing, but NIx is still making the picks, there is no QB on the roster worth starting. If they get a college coach instead of someone with NFL experience, they're toast. IMO
  16. Brandon keeps saying "world class"? Where the heck is getting this from? World class people in the organization? Where?
  17. ehh, I'm gonna call B.S. Nix still in charge: so what. We've seen this movie before. Ralph moving aside is most likely a very good P.R. move, but Nix stil making picks, and still have no QB.
  18. Keep the thread going.
  19. Bills kool-aid. I have thoughts of a glass pitcher that's been left oustide too long: dirt on the ouside and bottom of pitcher, with sediment beginning to form, and some dead flies floating around about the top.
  20. The Arizona game, which the Bills won oddly enough, was all I needed to see from Gailey. If I'm G.M., he's gone because of that last straw.
  21. How long before the start with the PSL stuff?
  22. 6.5 yards / carry is aboluetly crazy STUPID! Amazing. If the Bills had any type of NFL QB at all, and a middle of the road D, they are knocking on the playoff door. IMO. That also assumes Gailey is gone and not calling the plays, or managing the game.
  23. Exaclty what do you mean by "compete"? Compete for NFL or tv revenue? Compete for their slice of the CBA? Compete with other NFL team in terms of profit? Every year Forbes or some other pub. lists the NFL franchises by value, profit, and the like. Ralph is doing just fine, and also getting $$ millions from selling the Toronto Series: The home game away from home. I can almost bet you Ralph would be contacting the NFL to sell a Euro-game also, if he could find the phone! It's a bad product, has been for years, and the owner is making a fine profit. If this garbage team WERE on L.A., nobody would be going because people won't support a loser: see Raiders and Rams.
