^ That. What game plans? Seems like he's still in college: we have "our" offense which we run every week and you have to stop it. ???

Front Office or Coaches need to address or answer for the D
San-O replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right. I was expecting MUCH more out of this D line that what we are getting. People were talking TOP 5 or some other things, but I was thinking really maybe D in the 10 - 15 in the league, with really good run stopping and sacks. Fooled again I guess, but the M. Williams contract is going to hurt for a ling time and he is almost 30 years old. -
Looking at the stats, the Bills D is almost exactly where they were last season. 2011 they finished 26th in total D and 30th in points. http://www.nfl.com/s...=true&Submit=Go 2012 with 1/4 of the season played ( I know it's still early) they are 27th in total D and 30th in points. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?seasonType=REG&offensiveStatisticCategory=null&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=1&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=TOTAL_POINTS_GAME_AVG&tabSeq=2&season=2012&role=OPP&Submit=Go&archive=false&conference=null&defensiveStatisticCategory=SCORING&qualified=true Everyone basically agrees the talent is better especially on D and D line. I see no answers, huge blowouts, and nothing much else. Buddy Nix is maybe not the guy re: coaching choices.

Right. I'm not sold on Arz. either, but Buffalo does not travel well, rarely wins on the road, and does not do well coming out west at all that I recall.
-
Or after Arizona. You don't think the Bills are going to beat Arz. in their place?
-
I'm not sure when that corner gets turned, however it's hard to make the arguement that this team is any better than the bad Jauron led teams.

Harbaugh is a very good NFL coach, Chan is not. Chan and Co. and going to get worked.

Is it time yet to look forward to the Draft?
San-O replied to gjv001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Next year, Chan will still be head coach, Wanny will still be D coordinator, Fitz will be just as bad, and Super Mario will be another year older and ineffective. -

OK. Question: What do you really acticipate happening this Sunday in S.F? I realize your hindsight powers may not be effective, but you should have seen that coming. -
I did. I thought they were great moves. I was excited. I thought they had what they needed.

Gailey says media twists the stats.

Gailey says media twists the stats.
San-O replied to Since 1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chan has no answers. Buffalo beat 2 teams with a combined 1-7 record. This is going to get much worse next two weeks. Harbaugh is absolutely going to SMOKE Gailey and Wanny. If I were Gailey I would retire for health reasons: Now. -
o The old D coordinator fired. Wanny stepping into the D coordinator role.o Switch back to 4-3, using players better suited to this D.o Drafting for defense using high picks.o Sign the highest profile D player on the market. The Bills are now 27th in the league yards/game, and 30th in the league points/ game. It's going to get worse over the next two weeks also. What garbage. Stop buying merch. if not tickets.http://www.nfl.com/s...=true&Submit=Go

Patriots @ Bills 9/30/2012 Game Thread
San-O replied to TakeYouToTasker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Old school CHAT link? -
No. Two good games against bad teams. We need Fitz to manage the game, protect the ball, make some short TIMELY throws and get/try and move the chains.
-
I agree. A loss to N.E. would be bad. I would almost go so far to say if they lose, the chances at a wildcard position are really damaged.
-
I agree. Jets game was bad. It looks like they have adjusted the defense after that, I think. 2 wins against 2 teams with a combined record of 1 and 6 doesn't mean much. Both teams a probably better than their records show. This is a chance for Buffalo to step up for real, or not. We will see. Go Bills!

It is a "run and shoot" with spread formations. been around forever. Houston ran it during the season of the NFL greatest comeback. Whatever Gailey wants to call it, Fitz isn't the QB to run it, maybe he is? He's looking a lot better last two games. The passing game is currently ranked 26 th in the league, so it's not working very well and not fooling anybody. If they can keep running the ball, who cares? http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=false&conference=null&role=TM&offensiveStatisticCategory=TEAM_PASSING&defensiveStatisticCategory=null&season=2012&seasonType=REG&tabSeq=2&qualified=true&Submit=Go

If Kirk Morrison can't get on the field in this LB corp it's because he's not very good. ?
-
Fitz's problem isn't THROWING the ball downfiels, it's COMPLETING them downfield.

Are The Bills a Running Team?
San-O replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He always says things like that. He said something similar after this last game. It's basically that he deflects questions about the run game re: the passing game. He has said "I wish we could run more", "I'd like to run more", "sometimes you can't run". You never hear him say those same things about the passing game. His canned phrases are becoming more predictable and very telling. To me, it's all really about avoiding the topic by essentially agreeing with someone asking about the success of the run game v the passing game. Don't leave the person asking the question any where to go. It's almost like he has some type of disdain for the running game, and doesn't want to get into a debate. How many 3-and-outs did the Bills have last week? How many were 3 passes in a row? -
All-22 Coaches Film -- Analysis of Fitz Week Two
San-O replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/8664/ryan-fitzpatrick He completed 52 % of his passes this past weekend. And has Total QB rating of 53.9 for the year so far. -
I love this topic. Chan doesn't want to run the ball, and yet claims otherwise. Fitz can't throw the ball, yet he and Chan push that agenda. The team is much better running the ball. Period. Look at the games Fitz has started where he throws over 30 times, and those he throws under 30 times: the results are shocking. IMO http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/gamelog/_/id/8664/year/2011/ryan-fitzpatrick
