  1. Q: Isn't this generally a HUGE advantage for the Bills every year? Really?
  2. + 1 And we can thank ol' Buddy Nix for that. What a mess.
  3. I would agree. And add that if they CAN'T or don't get a QB, trade down and get picks: even if the value is not great. The Bills have lots of holes and aren't going anywhere this year regardless. Stockpile some draft picks please. IMO.
  4. + 1 NFL has been a passing league for some time now, and the genius Buddy Nix was comepletely sold on Fitztragic, wouldn't draft a QB execpt a 7th rounder, and brought in junk just to fill the roster spots at QB I guess. Oh yeah, the Bills have 1 starting receiver and their last high-round WR pick can't catch.
  5. Well, there's the "Partriot" way, and then there's the "Bills" way.
  6. A CB who was benched last year, on one of the worst D units in the NFL? A huge need? Really? Everytime McLuvin is in the 2ndary, I get very nervous.
  7. Resign a liability at CB over your best O lneman? If this coaching staff believes McLuvin is the answer at CB, we are in for another long season. If as a nickel back, probably OK. We will see, unless any one else has additional details or info.
  8. Including thsi paast year also. Oh well.
  9. I would agree. Regardless of what Levitre does, there is a need for a OT. This is supposed to be a deep draft re: O line, so maybe the Bills could even trade down and still get an OT? They need extra picks, and an OT, and this would address both.
  10. I believe he has already reached that point: hasn't played a 16 game season yet. I would expect him to go down to injury or miss a few games again this year unfortunately. I do like him however. http://www.nfl.com/player/ericwood/71523/profile
  11. Nix tenure: 14 - 34 after three years drafting, and NO NFL startering QB on the radar. Not to mention no WR outside of 1 S. Johnson. Even forgoing the Chan Gailey issue, and Wanny, and Edwards. There no way I can see this going well suddenly in 1 more draft/year of building to even come close to what they were prior to Buddy's guidance. The losses are piling up quicker than Buddy can spin the "continuity" wheel. What this really says: the team was better off Levy/Jauron/Trent after three years? Which is hard to imagine. Three drafts on a row: I don't count drafting a 6th or 7th round QB trying to upgrade the position. It simply isn't. And the today's NFL, that alone gets you fired. Period.
  12. awesome! Thanks Russ. Also, this just in; water is wet. sky is blue.
  13. LOL. I don't EVER recall as many "thank you god", and "baby jesus", and religious references for someone getting let go, err... "retired". Pretty funny. Maybe we can say, he "pulled a Kelsay", when someone retires or quits when they are about to be let go?
  14. Thanks for being a crappy player playing your ass off for some crappy teams, coaches, and fans, Chris! Seriously though, best of luck and thanks for.. well... just thanks.
  15. Ahh, not so fast!!! Someone needs to come up with a clever tag, link "munsoned" or something.
  16. McLuvin! Noooooo!!!
  17. Well, Brandon seemed pretty emphatic that he felt the Bills had much more talent on the roster than three years ago. Q: How many starters on the roster were drafted by Buddy over the past three years? Not a lot. FYI: I quoted you in my sig line. Hope you don't mind. If so, I will remove.
  18. Good point. I guess it's much easier to be Fitz apologist than "Bills D" apologist?
  19. How do you explain Buddy not drafting a QB in three years. Except 1 rd 6 or 7 guy? Can't blame that on Chan.
  20. I find it refreshing and interesting to have a position coach like that say what everyone else already knows: except Buddy and Chan anyhow. FWIW, I don't really consider his comments trashing Fitz, just being painfully honest. IMO. He's got no reason to hold back, and I don't really see anybody standing up rebutting him either.
  21. + 1 BINGO I would seriously be drafting the best available QB in 2nd or 3rd round for the next couple years. Backup/development/get lucky/trade bait?
  22. Imagine what N.E. would have done with a player/contract like Kelsay. End of story.
  23. Well, Fitz is bad. No doubt really. o His avg yards/attempt is 26 or 27 in league with QBs having > 100 attempts. That's pretty bad. o I checked and Spiller/Jackson caught a lot of balls, but those 2 RBs accounted for approx 26 % of Fitz completions. Throwing 5-7 yards to an on-covered back coming out of the backfield is great, and most certainly padded his stats. Getting the ball to Spiler is fine, but really covered up the problem which is Fitz can't really throw. I agree that the D was a huge issue, and getting that unit to perform even average, or somewhere around middle of the pack re: yards / game and points / game would be huge. Given a QB who can actually throw downfield at ALL, and doesn't mess all over himself at the end of games with improved D may actually get the Bills a sniff at the playoffs. IMHO. Gailey no doubt cost them a couple games also.
  24. + 1 He's a guard: a guard. I don't see how you sign a guard to top 5 money if you haven't had a winning season in forever. I would love for him to stay, but let's not get crazy.
