  1. Figured it might be a one-off. Makes sense that the NFL would give teams byes after long trips.
  2. Miami played Jax in London last Oct 17, then played Atlanta Oct 24. The Bye week being scheduled after playing in Europe isn't always the case. Dolphins bye week was week 14.
  3. Elam went to the same HS that I did in Florida, so I have followed him for a while. Top notch character and a great basketball and track athlete. The HS is a small private school, so students are often multi-sport athletes. This is a great pick. Size, speed, instinct and desire. Not much more you could ask for in a CB.
  4. Judging from the various Mock Draft sites, to get a "top tier" CB, the Bills will need to use their 1st round pick. They'll be gone by the time #57 comes in the 2nd round. 1st round - CB 2nd round - OL 3rd round - RB or LB 4th round - RB or LB For the most part, CB is the only immediate need. WR depth has Diggs, Davis, McKenzie, Kumerow. OL has plenty, but we need to rotate out the old stock with the new in this draft, so to speak. Same with pretty much every other position. I'm sure Beane is using that approach, and we are in a position to draft the best available player, AFTER a CB is taken with the first Bills pick.
  5. It happens with big names riding the downhill of their careers. See Bruce Smith in Washington. He was the best of what was left in FA. Colts don't have a 1st round pick.
  6. Miller's a chicken farmer. Guess he's thinking about a Wing franchise. No better place to learn.
  7. He was a Finance major at UGA. May be time to get a front office job. He's not an NFL caliber QB. Overrated because of the National Championship game exposure, and he didn't even play well in that game. Kirby Smart was not smart in starting Fromm over Fields.
  8. Tannehill is immobile? Not as mobile as Josh, Lamar or Kyler. Tannehill did rush for 270 yards and 7 TDs. If he's indecisive, that'd explain being sacked as much as anyone except Burrow. Blame it on the line, receivers or the QB?
  9. ESPN had him as the #91 free agent and a not so great endorsement: Sometimes fans can get excited by a name they recognize on the free-agent market. Saffold was once one of the NFL's top pass-blocking guards, based on ESPN's pass block win rate metric. In the past two seasons, however, he has ranked in the bottom five. Perhaps a change of scheme and/or scenery can help him extend his career.
  10. It'll be more flexible if they draft his backup this year. I like his play and he played all games this year, but his injury history still is a concern.
  11. If they sign Lawson, Bills let Hughes walk, unless he comes back on a hometown discount. We need a big splash signing at DE. Our depth is definitely lacking. Epenesa Rousseau Basham Love No significant salary spent on any of these guys
  12. Cam Jurgens, Center, Nebraska. Like Jason Peters, was a Tight End turned OL. Athletic. We need a transition plan from Mitch Morse. Wish we had drafted Creed Humphery when he was there in Round 2 last year. I think Jurgens would be a good player in this year's draft. Cam Jurgens highlights
  13. No games in Europe for the Bills. We play the Packers at home. Do not play Saints or Jags. Also, no Mexico. Arizona is hosting that game.
  14. Draft needs : 1st Round (Linderbaum (C) or more likely McCreary (CB)) 2nd round Middle linebacker (Chad Muma or Troy Andersen) 3rd round - Tariq Woolen (CB) or Smoke Monday (S) 4th round - Alec Lindstrom (C) or Dylan Parham (G) 5th round - Justin Schafer (G) or DJ Dale (DT) 6th round - Sincere McCormick (RB) or Markquese Bell (S) 7th round - Christian Watson (CB) or Charleston Rambo (WR) 7th round - A punter
  15. Tiebreaks are based on what the pro's score is. Heard that during the broadcast.
  16. How did Edmunds do? He looked silly watching Hill and Perriman run by him or behind him across the middle. He has no idea where a receiver is in his zone, and winds up trailing the play. Teams see Edmunds as a liability, passing on him at will. I remember Romo commenting on a play against KC that Poyer thought he had help inside. Who is Romo referring to? We constantly see Edmunds get easily taken out by blockers. Is it the scheme? The DL? He's the defensive QB, running the D. I wish someone had a chart of Edmunds tackles. We watched Kiko Alonso make tackles, and I don't think Edmunds is a huge improvement, despite the size and athletic advantage.
  17. PFF Analytics has him at 46 among NFL LBs, already surpassed by two rookie linebackers out of Ohio State. Stat lines? Average at best, and slipping behind rookies. Not encouraging for a guy once hyped as Defensive ROY and as Defensive POY, falling way short of expectations.
  18. Drafting Lloyd, Dean or Chad Muma would allow Edmunds to move to OLB to prove he can play there. He's definitely not a MLB
  19. Thinking fans are going to want to see the "what if the Bills had won the toss" game. Except it'll be in Cincy. Josh Allen is a pretty good draw for TV next season. IF the Bengals win. I'm going Aaron Donald as MVP and the Rams for the win.
  20. It'd be a shock. I have no use for Williams. He was the best Alabama had, but non-contact injuries scare me, and it's not a need for the Bills. We need to draft a CB, OL, DL or LB in the first. Elam would be a nice player to have fall to 25.
