Have you seen his work as a gunner? He's really excellent. He's special teams captain with HauschMoney.. http://www.espn.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/93986/taiwan-jones-carving-niche-at-gunner

Breshad Perriman to visit Bills
JoeF replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Charles Clay has had more than 5 catches of 30+ yards the last two years. He's a really underused weapon. This is with a QB who couldn't find him with a GPS. But to your point, I don't understand the crazy reaction to Perriman. If Ray Ray is hurt enough to go on short-term IR, I would add him. -
Want to buy an autographed McCarron helmet?

If it were a Kolb autographed rubber mat, you would really have something... -
As much as I like the idea of Josh getting scout team reps...part of me wants to protect the asset a bit.

Other folks on the board have buddies in the biz...but from my couple of friends, during the season is brutal...there is not a normal day... Sunday-- stadium by about 8 AM for a 1 PM home game; Game time; 5 PM - begin to watch and critique the game and begin to game plan for next week. Usually sleep in the office. Monday AM-Finish game plan-players in starting at 6 AM to about 2 PM; then finish the game plan for next game. Usually, home by about 9-10 PM Tuesday- Off day for players -- but continue to watch film on the opponent; tweak game plan; develop the week's practice content. A 12 hour day. Wednesday-6 AM to about 8 PM with practice; meetings with position players; defense meetings talking about scenarios and situations. Thursday-Pretty much the same as Wednesday Friday-Pretty much the same as Thursday and Wednesday Saturday-Travel or Home game hotel--get a little break in the AM--but usually finish meetings about 9-10 PM in the team hotel Result--100 hour weeks during the season; Offseason - scouting, evaluation, film, road trips - 50-60 hour weeks. It's not a picnic at all...I consistently work 65-70 hour weeks -- and they put in more hours. Plus I !@#$ around on TBD a lot...

Just kicking the tires guys...what could go wrong... -
Just a note...don't blame Peterman, Beane or McDermott or Terry or Kim, blame me if the year turns out to be a downer...I just signed up for the "Pay as We Play" Playoff Plan for season ticket holders. This is sure to jinx us.... Looks like time for.... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Desitin-Rapid-Relief-Zinc-Oxide-Diaper-Rash-Cream-4-8-oz/24909985?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=2058&adid=22222222227017604624&wl0=&wl1=s&wl2=c&wl3=40340845472&wl4=pla-78298818392&wl5=9009718&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=24909985&wl13=2058&veh=sem

Nate won the job. All this preaching about "the process" becomes bull **** to the team if this isn't the result. Josh had little shot to win it at the beginning of OTA's but closed the gap pretty significantly. My hope is this isn't a lost season because I believe Daboll can get the most out of what we have on Offense. I keep thinking that the Patriots have never had a truly elite receiving corps (sans Randy Moss) -- the system brought out the best in players like Welker, Troy Brown, Edelman. They did have Gronk which is a huge advantage and safety blanket. Nate has trouble when the first read isn't there and when he has to throw to his right. He doesn't anticipate d-back breaks on the ball for intermediate routes and doesn't always place the deep ball well. That said, he's accurate in the short area, he has improved his arm strength, he's got some mobility and athleticism, he can move the pocket. These are all things Daboll has seen and will avoid (weaknesses) and build upon (strengths). There is enough here to win games if the Bills are aces on D and special teams-- which is possible. Nate is also the best of the 3 options for the current state of this OL. I also like the idea of Josh being the scout team QB for a few weeks. The D will never face a stronger arm in the game..so it may be a good look. So yeah-trying to look at the positive here. I still don't think this is a year where the Bills contend for the post-season, but this coaching staff is good enough to prove me wrong.

Welcome to the board. Kyle is on a one-year deal so no cap implications. The decision will be if he wants to play another year and probably at a similar pay to this year, $5.5 Million. There will be little pressure to cut anyone for "cap purposes" next year. The Bills have $84 Million plus in 2019 space according to over the cap: https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/buffalo-bills/

Pats cut TD Mike Gillislee per CBS Sports
JoeF replied to Cripple Creek's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a really fair and accurate assessment of last years running back situation. There were always RBs available who were better than Tolbert. At least they learned and got Ivory and worked to develop Murphy. I am not sure I would rank not having AJ McCarron on the roster with the same gravity as the drop off in RB from McCoy to Tolbert last year. Most teams carry just two QB's in which they have confidence. McCarron had the advantage of Nick being in Daboll's ear about him the last 6 months and he still didn't do enough to crack the top 2. He did, in my view, look the worst of the three in preseason game situations. I don't view this the same as last year's RB, but that's just my opinion. And I do believe Beane got good value out of McCarron who they likely would have cut at some point without the trade. -

I bet Beane was thinking that in 2020 when the Bills were drafting in the 7th round, that there would be no one close to Corey Coleman's talent on the board. Also, he was thinking that by that time, a 2020 7th rounder, was unlikely to make the team he and McD are building. It cost Terry and Kim a couple of million (which is akin to me going to Waca and buying an Icee) and it cost the Bills nothing in terms of real player assets. You likely disagree with this thinking, but that's probably what he was thinking.
