  1. Thanks for the recommendation on the new era shirt. Just ordered a long sleeve T. This is so Billsy...
  2. Cantaloupe I think...
  3. Doubt it changes the Ravens game plan very much. They are still going to after that spot.
  4. Wow, that's a bitter man. Totally understand it, but I just never have lived life that way. Everyone gets treated like crap professionally and personally sometimes...everyone. Whether you have put 30 years or 3 months into something getting kicked in the gut hurts. Going public with your disdain is a little immature and low character. What I heard there was a conversation you have with your spouse or a close friend over a beer. Not a fricking podcast. I am glad Jerry is moving on to something else. I hope the Pegulas will see fit to issue he and Bucky credentials at some point. Bucky, in particular, has been pretty harsh on Terry and Kim Pegula in his columns. I like aspects of both Jerry's and Bucky's work and believe it has a place in covering the Bills and Sabres but stuff like the link below can be written as-"Terry and Kim are learning and the lessons are coming slow" rather than "Terry and Kim suck" ...the point is the same either way. However, the second method, reflected in the column, is unnecessarily personal. It will have consequences like pulling ad buys and denying credentials. When you mess with the bull you tend to end up getting the horns... https://buffalonews.com/2017/04/20/bucky-gleason-pegulas-check-mirror-source-sabres-biggest-problem/
  5. He was for four years. Left as a Free Agent after the 2012 season. Married a Buffalo girl.
  6. Was it my imagination or was law enforcement a little bumbling in those documentaries? Kind of like a preview to Rex Ryan? Here's a LAMP. I spent a few nights at Burt & Jack's Steakhouse in Ft. Lauderdale. Burt's partner and I went to the same small college in OH and he was a brother in the same fraternity who I got to know through homecomings, etc. When I got to grad school in South Florida, Jack invited me to the restaurant a few times. Met Mr. Reynolds one night briefly. Got an autograph for my girlfriend's (at the time) mom. Immediately raised her well-justified low opinion of me. RIP Mr. Reynolds. Thanks for helping a struggling graduate student....
  7. Well worth the 4 minutes. Loved Coach McDermott's quote about Coach Daboll understanding the fundamentals and technique of every position on offense.
  8. ??? putting it all together... Plus our "Bills guy by marriage" Rory in second...
  9. I !@#$ing try to refrain from !@#$ing cursing. Its !@#$ing offensive to some mother!@#$ers. With regard to gameday, my children still believe the Bills nickname is the Buffalo Mother!@#$ers....
  10. 1-4/6 yards 1 sack, 0 INT Pulled for Logan Thomas, who leads the Bills to victory with a 45-yard TD throw to himself in the last minute of the game. Kyle Williams outrushes Shady. Kyle 19 carries, 145 yards, 2 scores; Shady 14 carries; 96 yards 1 score. Bills 34-Ravens 28.
  11. Allen: How'd I get that scab on my leg.. Daboll: Damn, another e-mail from Coach Saban pimping AJ.... Peterman: Russ seems to have a limited vocabulary AJ: I haven't heard that many F-Bombs since Coach Nick's last pre-game speech
  12. I think we all smile a little when arguably the best MLB in the game calls the Bills MLB a freakzoid....Edmunds is starting to look like Tarzan and play like Tarzan... Well said. Coach McDermott has a big presence..as opposed to Rex who had a big personality. Big difference...
  13. Totally legit post in my view, ngbills. I think, however, that McCarron was that "veteran bridge" and Peterman beat him out. I do think McD has a special affinity for Nate (not as much as Tasker), but I also think Nate earned this opportunity by performing the best of the three in the preseason. As much as McD preaches "the process" and "earning opportunities", it would ring hollow to the team if any other decision had been made at this point. Once you establish the culture he has, you want to be consistent and this decision is consistent with the culture. Listen to Kyle talk about McD. The first line of almost every interview is...."I know what to expect every day with Sean" That consistency is really important.
  14. Land that plane, brother....
  15. My wife and I were in Denver for a couple of concerts last month (keep in mind she's a Deadhead in the truest sense of the word). We visited a dispensary. I am wearing my "Kelly Tough" t-shirt. The young man checking ID's at the door and the young man behind the counter were both Buffalo natives. We got taken care of very well. The tootsie rolls are great as are the honey sticks. Smoke bothers me, but I really like the edibles. We all have seen the downside of addiction in our lives...but this is one area where I believe the active ingredients do more good than harm. I have seen firsthand life extension and pain relief value for both people and animals (our 15-year-old Queensland Heeler's arthritis is much more manageable) through CBDs. Also, I feel a lot better the morning after a couple of tootsie rolls rather than 2 or 3 beers. Just personal preference.
  16. None of us are going to convince you to get behind Josh. I hope if Josh provides evidence through his play, that you will come around. I know you will be cheering for him to do well. You wouldn't be on this forum if you wanted him to fail. ?
  17. Name me a Bills QB the last 15 years who would have made this play: Bledsoe - Sack Fitz-INT Losman - Fumble returned for a touchdown EJ-Interception returned for a touchdown Tyrod-Run around and then sacked Trentative- Throwaway These are the plays that distinguish a good QB from an average QB. We finally have someone who can do this. I get that you wanted one of the three others and would have preferred any of them to what we got...and you are entitled to that. Darnold was my guy and still is...but I am a lot happier with what we got today than I was on draft night.
  18. I have seen several reports, including from local beat writers, that Josh was "benched" for Nate or "lost the job". Ridiculous in my opinion. He started as the third string QB with little shot to start the season and made it a tough decision. I too am all-in on him. He seems like a great kid who has a wonderful work ethic. He has been rejected before...not getting any looks especially from Fresno State where he wanted to go; he was panned through the draft process--all he has done is ignore the critics and improve not just steadily but by leaps and bounds. The Cincy game was a test. I almost believe it was on purpose (I know I am nuts). If Daboll ever, ever put Vlad and Miller one on one with Gino Atkins or Marshall Newhouse or Jordan Mills one on one with Carlos Dunlap on a real game day-- he should be fired. I think they wanted to show Josh what real bullets looked like. He failed, but not miserably so--He didn't throw 5 INTs for example. I wish Nate Peterman all the success in the world. If he shows something, the Bills have another tremendous asset. However, Josh has skills - mobility, arm, pocket savvy, speed that Nate will never have. Let Josh watch as long as Nate is not losing us games with turnovers or poor production...but make no mistake, Josh Allen is the future of this franchise.
  19. Kiko!!!!!
  20. Horrible Harry--"That's the difference between Offensive Lineman and Defensive Lineman"..... Love this kid. Can't wait for episode 4.
  21. Playoffs every time....
  22. Sal Capaccio ?‏Verified account @SalSports Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon, and Steve Tasker will call Bills at Ravens Sunday on CBS. Tasker will have trouble remaining neutral with his "adopted son" playing QB for the Bills ?
  23. No connection to the school, and have never lived in or around Phoenix/Tempe but always have liked ASU. I have a friend who is currently in senior administration at the school who has been a mentor to me. A brilliant guy. He keeps me up to date. He loves the Herm hire and has helped him gain some trust with the faculty senate. I also know a former Olympic track athlete who graduated from ASU and spent a couple of decades in the athletic department. Another great guy. The institution to me is underrated academically. I loved Herm Edwards as a player and a broadcaster not so much as a coach. As you probably know, he was a UDFA when the draft was 12 rounds and he was a bit of a malcontent at Cal -- leaving twice due to issues with the coaching staff. I thought he was one of the more intelligent defensive backs of his era. He did more with film study and positioning to make up for a lack of speed. Always impressed me.
  24. Are you an ASU fan, Kelly? You play to win the game!
  25. I think he would have trouble winning back the job at Memphis...Granted it was against Mercer but Arizona State transfer Brady White is the QB threw 5 TD's in the first half...
