Three games. That's all it took for the Bills to become Josh's team for the foreseeable future. Today was unbelievable and unexpected. The Bills may go 1-15 this year...who knows, but today showed what they can become with winning QB play.

Excellent thread opening post, Kirby. QB's are made by playing. Josh regressed to some bad footwork at times today-- but this was his first time against a pretty damn good NFL Defense (even without Bosa) and a smart coordinator. Remember at the beginning of mini-camp when he couldn't throw a screen pass--he has improved with both touch and timing. The deep ball already loosened up the running game. This season is 3-13 Peyton and 1-15 Troy..nothing more...its a year to see what we have. I don't buy everything, but I buy that we have a young QB who has some skills that cannot be taught and is improving on the skills that can be taught.

I can understand retiring this coming week, addressing the team, telling them I can't do it anymore. That I would respect. I can't understand doing it in-game.

Its also another $4 Million dollar cap hit....hamstrings the Bills further. Never have I seen this. They should have cut him when he proved he was having difficulty recovering from the injury in training camp, but I bet they kept him to see if he could recover. This is just a !@#$ing slap in the face.

And Vontae will be back to Lead the Charge against the Titans.......very, very bizarre Didn't coach say one time in "Embedded" to leave if you didn't adopt the culture....Guess Vontae took the message to heart..

Moore or Derek Anderson would be fine. Josh needs a second person to go to and its not Nate. It has to be a QB who knows what success looks like. He has to have someone other than Daboll. You can't vent about your boss to your boss. I bet McCown's relationship with Darnold is a large part of the development. It has to be someone who is comfortable being a back-up.

Next year starts the evaluation clock on the McBeane era. They will get two years (2019 and 2020) to show substantial progress. The bar will be pretty high -- like double digit wins by 2020. Considering that hasn't been accomplished yet this century--that's a fair standard.
