Really going out on a limb here, but he mentioned Alabama perhaps because they are an active college dynasty winning many national championships of late. Very good example to prove his point that they would win far less if you raised their SAT requirement. Can you make an argument to disagree with his premise? I'm sure Marcell Dareus would still have gone to Alabama if the SAT requirement was raised to 1000+. As for the hot tub comment....you must be just jealous because that is a great idea and typical of an underclassman. We put a blue tarp in the back of a pickup truck and filled it up with water from our apartment at my college....kept the hot water running and just cycled between 3 apartments as the hot water tanks emptied. That's college and great memories!

I was thinking the same thing. The blocking was atrocious and his trajectory was a bit low....both of which are fairly easy to correct. Carpenter's misses were mental which is way harder to fix...if fixable at all. He was really shanking then like my drives on the golf course....hook one hole and slice the next. Great post! Agree with all of your pound except for pulling/benching Mario. I think that was a great move. He is your highest paid player. Let him go out there and earn that money he is f'n making...,and when he didn't, all of his teammates, fans and 31 GMs in the league (apparently Miami GM wasn't paying attention) have a whole season of film to watch of him quitting. I also can almost assure it was an organizational decision going all the way to the top to let it play out that way...not just Rex. Everyone knew he quit. If he was benched or cut, Mario could have just pointed to how he was f'd over and that he would have had double digit sacks and wouldn't let him play, but Rex and the new coaching staff had it out for him...etc. he probably would have had several teams line up that would have bought it and have him a bigger deal in that scenario.

Kind of where I was intending to go with the last point. They certainly need someone to compete for #2&3. They do appear to be showcasing and maybe even leaking details of interest in round one prospects

Assuming this is a smoke screen, what are the likely reasons? * motivation for Tyrod * deterrent to Tyrod's agent for negotiations * throw off other teams regarding their intentions on draft day * learn more about the delta between top prospects and mid-late round prospects they are more likely to draft Some combination? All of the above? Other options?
