  1. Other than the horses, I'm not much of a better. But I virtually NEVER bet on a Bills game (for or against). Too hard for me to separate head from heart.
  2. Um Duh, that's how one grades, no? First of all, let me say the grades are entirely meaningless. A win is a win. But when I taught, you lost points for mistakes. An A+ is completely mistake proof AND exceptional. It goes down from there. There were enough mistakes to take it to a B+ IMO.. BTW I think a B+ is a VERY VERY good grade. A C is average.
  3. EVERY MVP has some B games and even occasionally lower. Judge game by game. Not how you FEEL about him for the season.
  4. A B+ is a VERY GOOD grade, not a bad one. I've always been against grade inflation.
  5. You do know he was credited with one INT today, right? It was BS, but it an INT. Very nice game. But a few sloppy plays puts my score at B+ as well.
  6. GREAT call! Oh, wait....
  7. I recommend this book: https://www.amazon.com/Greatest-Gambling-Story-Ever-Told/dp/1949642283#:~:text=The Greatest Gambling Story Ever Told is an inspiring personal, historic victory of Winning Colors.
  8. Typically posts like this would be posted on this forum, for what it's worth: https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/forum/48-off-the-wall/ You have to admit, it was "Off The Wall"
  9. What's that about? I haven't seen even one response that warrants that. Sensitive much? I don't really understand your post, but never heard the tune and kinda dug it, actually.
  10. I have to agree. When many were saying the Fins were "tanking" (and by that some meant purposefully losing) I found it preposterous. Flores isn't about to tank, IMO. Don't get me wrong, I despise Miami. But they have solid coaching and are building something.

  12. Easily one of the best, and most entertaining, breakdowns I have seen. Peyton continues to impress me. Had to join ESPN+ to see it. But I'm guessing Details is worth the price of admission. And IMO far more on point than what JT (raindrops keep falling on my head) O'Sullivan had to say.
  13. Were they playing the US National Anthem? It seems he like to kneel.
  14. Assuming they test their ads with audiences, they might have some idea. But judging by some of the ads on the air, I'm guessing they don't always do that much research.
  15. Well, then she's in the catbird seat. Good for her. Hope it works out.
  16. Did the CEO grant her request?
  17. When I worked for people, I regularly joked and drank with several of my bosses/coworkers. But I never considered that brown-nosing. I did it because it was fun and wanted to. But when it came to work, I was an anti-brown nose. A couple bosses criticized me for not "managing up" well---but conceded I did an excellent job managing across and down. I would disagree and criticize my bosses (usually nicely, but not always) when necessary. That usually was fine for a couple years, but when the bosses back is against the wall, they can grow weary of not being "supported" no matter what they did or said. So three years was my typical lifespan in an organization. I think the biggest issue in their eyes was my consistent refusal/failure to document everything I accomplished, give regular reports and updates, etc. I was too busy getting things done, by doing a good job managing the people who did actual work. Few things I despise more than busy work/administrative garbage. Yes, there were times my boss needed to present to his/her boss, and wanted the documentation for a presentation. I did those. But no "weekly" or "monthly" reports. Hated that crap. Even now that I work for myself, I've had a couple of retainer clients request regular reports when I first started with them. I told them they hired the wrong guy for that. Want to discuss the details over a drink? Fine, let's do it! My new life: No meetings, no reports, no direct bosses. Of course all my clients are I suppose "bosses", but they know better than to think that way. One thing I didn't mention is, I had a couple people work for me who were MAJOR brown noses. I did my best to put a stop to it, but hard to wipe the stain off a lifelong brown noser.
  18. Don't think we need to worry about that this year. For multiple reasons.
  19. Thought I deleted that. Was going to say, I figure WhoTom was joking about the punter not being anyone's favorite player. But it wasn't YOU who said that, it was the main character. And he's DEFINITELY the kind of guy who would say/think that, IMO. Really wasn't worth typing, but there ya go.
  20. There's no money in that. Very few tolls to collect.
  21. I use a CPAP as well. A couple drinks, a toke or two and a medical marijuana edible (homemade cookie, brownie, whatever) is what helps me get to, and stay, asleep. Just had my herbal tea and now going to have one last drink and a cookie!!
