While I prefer HD, of course, I have no problem whatsoever with standard definition. Beats the hell out of not seeing something you like. Been watching Bills games for 60 years. I'll watch them on a 13" B&W TV (or a laptop screen or phone) if I have to. OTOH, I have a very hard time listening to music on tinny speakers.

Philies/Yankees game cancelled. What's going on now is still part of the first wave. If there is a second wave, it will be next year, the year after or even after that.

Clear the track! RIP

Bills need to get to 81 players by start of TC
The Dean replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly, I'd at least consider going to 90 players on a split squad. More difficult to manage and not ideal under normal circumstances. But these are far from normal circumstances. Splitting the squad gives some new players with real potential to make the team a better shot and provides a bit of protection should someone bring Covid into play. Now I'm not saying I would choose the split squad, but I'd sure as hell consider it. -
This was posted in the Info Only thread,. Since my post isn't information, but a question, I responded here. This video was posted to YouTube on April 3rd. I'm wondering if all the info/advice is still accurate and current. Given the surge of the virus in this very hot summer, I'm wondering about the claim of small change in temperature killing the virus is still considered to be a "fact". Perhaps Hapless can weigh in.

RIP. Back when Fleetwood Mac was an urban blues band. And let's not forget he wrote Black Magic Woman.

First home game is Wednesday (I think). Will the park be ready for The Jays by then?

In my years of driving my car's windshield/hood/roof has been struck by any number of objects bouncing up from the road/falling off trucks and out of trunks/etc. A stone in the eye is surely enough, perhaps, to cause the driver to swerve out of control/put down the bike/etc. A bike suddenly swerving out of control in this situation can impact the rest of the traffic on the road. Certainly a helmet/shield can go a long way prevent/minimize the impact in many events. I am unaware of any secondary physical damage from the flying bodies of automobile drivers/passengers not wearing seat belts.

RIP Congressman John Lewis - Civil Rights Icon

That's a huge trade up, IMO. -
I still can't understand a state having a seat belt law but NO motorcycle helmet law. Seat belts only protect those who use them. Motorcycle helmets (for the bikes driver) protect everyone on the road.

Maybe he was talking about the neck wrap. Though it doesn't seem practical for doing construction of anything like that.

I'm sure they were. Now they are scrambling. They may choose Buffalo after all. But they never took a shot at Buffalo unless I missed it (which is always a possibility). It's sounds like they simply prefer to play in a major league stadium if a deal can be reached. I see nothing wrong with that.

Year ago, when I worked in a suit and was in NYC, DC and Boston often, I almost bought one of the neck versions from The Sharper Image (or was it Brookstone?). Very mixed reports at the time. I'm guessing the new version could be improved. Even back then I thought it would be worth a shot, but never pulled the trigger. I'd sweat like crazy in the summer back then. Yes, you can dip a towel in water and put it on your neck. And as long as you continue to have water available that might work. But when you are walking blocks upon blocks, taking subways and cabs, that isn't typically available.

I liked the Edgar Winter Group better.

I must say I've always found the term "white trash" a bit offensive. Is just basic "trash" meant to mean non-white? With that said, yes she is trash. Rentahitman.com? Seriously

Maybe tomorrow.

No argument with any of this. Well maybe one thing. Why "suck it up" if you don't have to? What's the purpose of playing in Buffalo if you can make a deal to play in a major league stadium? Why would you begrudge a team for wanting better digs? But that really isn't the point. You accused the Jays of rejecting Buffalo, specifically, because it was "icky" and saying they were too "special" Where the heck it THAT coming from? I think it's coming from YOU as I haven't see/read/heard any other account that is similar to what you proclaimed. For the record, they also haven't jumped on Manchester or Dunedin. Were they too icky too? You seem to be taking this WAY too personally, which I suppose is your perogotive. But why make up false negative allegations against Buffalo? THAT I do not understand.
-
I should clarify. I didn't think YOU were taking a shot at Buffalo or taking it personally.
