Liquor bigot! Any bourbon you have left over you can feel free to send to me.

While I've had many good bosses over the years, I don't know if I could ever work for someone else again. I suppose I could if I HAD to. But the real thing I won't work with again are screaming bosses. People who think it is OK to belittle others, even in front of others. I worked in TV for about 20 years and saw plenty of that kind of abuse. For the most part I wasn't the target of that abuse, but other people I worked with (and some who reported to me) got regularly targeted. I'd end up screaming back at the boss for screaming at the employees. I don't want to be that guy, either.

Pats* fans!

The Pats* actually own their own jet. No charter necessary. Perhaps the best thing a team can do, short of owning their own vehicle, is to procure a jet (and pilots) for the season. Given the current state of air transportation, they should be able to negotiate reasonable terms.

I really don't know anything about it. I was just going to post the two Grisman tunes and fell into that. I plan to check it out this week. Tony Rice is just awesome, IMO.

GREAT stuff, Bull. Here's three degrees of Grisman. Wasserman is just incredible. The classic Quartet: The classic Quintet. Side note, I slipped some mushrooms to Anger and Marshall (violinist and second mandolin) at the Tralf between sets back in the 80s: And something quite a bit newer:

I don't generally go all "conspiracy theory" but something seems fishy about the Pats* long list of opt-outs. Hmmmmm?

In Honor of National Chicken Wing Day - Drums or Flats?
The Dean replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I think you should. Just horrible. The guy is mostly right about how to eat a flat. And I know he went slow for the demonstration. But you I just pick op the ends, twist and pull. Simple. Only ONE bone really needs to be removed (does he take out the bone in the drummette), but typically both come out. -
You really are clueless, aren't you?

I know many who swear by CBD, but as you say the quality varies greatly. I tried the CBD from my a medical marijuana dispensary in Florida (Trulieve) and it did little for me. But it should be very good quality--their THC products sure are high quality. On the other hand, THC (with and without CBD in the mix) has been great for relieving pain and helping me to get, and stay asleep. One of my MM doctors asked me if I used it during the day for pain. I said, "not if I'm working". She suggested trying 14-1 (CBD to THC), explaining CBD works best when paired with THC but it only needs a bit. I have yet to try it. I'm trying to use less medication in my life, not more. If I can get by without anything during the day (other than my trusty fentanyl patch), I want it to stay that way.

As soon as I saw she was arrested for "stinking up the bathroom" my vote was NO! I have to use the damn thing, too. Never saw that site before. I'll have to check it out.

In Honor of National Chicken Wing Day - Drums or Flats?

If you don't sweat, what's the point, really? I like it when I get the hiccups. That's when I know it's hot enough. Crispy is a must! -
RIP Congressman John Lewis - Civil Rights Icon
The Dean replied to Doc Brown's topic in Off the Wall Archives
You got that right, K-9. I watched as much of the funeral as I was able today. I'm typically not that excited about watching funerals, for many reasons. But I must say this was an unbelievable inspiring event. There really are some truly special people in this world. -
In Honor of National Chicken Wing Day - Drums or Flats?
The Dean replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Obviously both! Drums are easier to eat. Flats are more tender. -
My mother's new facility is locked down like a freaking prison. There is a check in tent at the front door for staff. Deliveries need to be left there and checked. My mother's hospice nurses can only come in for very specific reasons, and they must wear a full PPE suit. The virus still found a way to get in through asymptomatic staff.

Sucks for sure. My mother had an aunt who suffered a stroke. They lived in Steubenville, OH (or possibly Weirton, WV). We'd visit every year. The aunt would go smile/cry/get very excited to see my father. She never seemed to recognize my mother, or many other people for that matter. I'm sure it bothered my mother, but she never showed it.

I have no idea who Puddles the Clown is. But while I don't like everything Bradlee does, he has improved a vast number of the trite pop tunes he's covered. Unlike sampling and remixes (you OK with those?) he completely reworks/rearranges (not repurposed) the songs. So while they retain the lyrics and bare bones, his versions are far different from the originals. I have little use for most covers that simply play the tune as the original artist performed them. BTW, unlike many samples, he gives full credit to the actual songwriter. Perhaps I feel this way, because I'm a jazz fan. Reworking songs in a particular style has always been quite accepted in jazz. Some of the best jazz tunes are reworked standards from other songwriters. My biggest complaint about Bradlee is his choice of material to improve. While he succeeds, much of the original material is pretty freaking ordinary, IMO.

I'm really trying to be more considerate to conflicting opinions, but I have to say, the level of ignorance in this post is astonishing---even for a sports-related forum. Let me see if I can some up with a post as dumbfoundingly stupid taking the opposite position. Any player* who decides to play must not care for other humans at all. They must want to purposefully risk infecting others, possibly causing death or lifelong pain and suffering. They must love money more than their families and friends. How am I doing. I know, that's not quite as ignorant as yours, but gimme some time to work on it. * Veteran or signed draft choice. All are eligible for at least $150K to sit out. I've reserved judgement on the undrafted rookies who may not be eligible for any pay (from what I've heard--maybe that has been settled)

Scott is the nephew of a friend/client. He does some interesting stuff and Morgan sure can sing.

Do we know if children have a lower infection/transmission rate because of something to do with physiological issues, or mainly because they tend to have far fewer interactions with other people? (I think this is generally fairly true, but I'm thinking during this lockdown period, many kids were probably very limited in interacting freely with others may be important, too.) I wouldn't call a fear of clown irrational. Clowns are creepy. ? Very sorry to hear that. My mother (end stage Alzheimer's) was moved from here ALF into a Nursing Home a few weeks ago. At the time both facilities were locked down and Covid free. Now the nursing home has 11 positive cases (at last count). Brought in by staff, not patients. Very tough. I haven't been able to see her since early March. Fortunately (I suppose) she has no idea what the hell is going on.

Bills need to get to 81 players by start of TC

You may have heard that Isaiah Brown opted out. You may have also heard Ike Brown opted out. Same guy. -
My recollection from the older model I almost bought, was they also contained water. So they acted a bit like a mister fan right on your neck, which would seem to work to make you feel cooler. But i never pulled the trigger. Did you end up getting and trying it?
