Maybe because informed opinions (opinions formed through facts/research/etc) carry a lot more weight than those that do not? Maybe that's just me. But I'm typically more impressed, and likely to take seriously, a post where someone explains WHY they have the opinion than by those posts that simply say "So and so sucks".

I think this was likely Marino's biggest flaw--at least according to what many Fins fans tell me. I admit, back then, I didn't pay much attention to Marino's impact on the running game. But after a bit of reviewing some old video (no major research effort here) it seems as though he did telegraph running plays. Marino was a much better passer. In other aspects Kelly was better, IMO.

Gotta love the Boogie.

Bills working out CB De’Vante Bausby

This is the second time I've seen a similar comment from you. I might be mistaken but I'm pretty sure you need to pass a threshold in order to start new threads. Perhaps someone can post the information. And did I read this correctly? The Bills are working out a busboy? -
Bills interested in CB Steven Nelson

I'm surprised this wasn't posted yesterday. You guys are slipping! -
🤣 Brady?

Thanks. I see it's "the day before". I may have mixed that up with the other change: The teams can release their schedule 30 minutes before the official announcement. That makes more sense, as it would seem the teams should get more than an hour notice.
-
I recall reading a story that said, this year, the teams will not receive their schedule until one hour before the general release. That was to put a stop to the early releases and keep some interest in the official program. I cannot find a link at the moment (no time). Obviously some league officials must know it, but if the teams are getting schedule info, that info could also be simply rumor---or a leak. That is, if the one hour thing is actually true. Anyone have info on this?

I definately don't like to gloat when someone gets fired from a job. So I won't celebrate this. But I couldn't stand Mayne. One of my least favorite on air "personalities". It hasn't been so bad the past couple years, as he seems to have less airtime then in the past--or maybe I'm just lucky that I miss the programs he is on. Either way, less Kenny Mayne is preferable to me.

Thanks. That was a fun watch. Lot's of "sightings" for me.

What happened to the Hammered a Lot account? Anyway, haven't posted in awhile (but reading quite often). But wanted to just say, Hammer can do what he wants on that property. How he'll manage to police it is his own business. And if I was still local and attending the games, I'd want to park in a lot that requires everyone to be vaccinated. There are other options for people who are unvaccinated. Whether or not unvaccinated fans will be allowed in the stadium is another matter entirely.

Unfortunately, not that I know of.

Week 6: Chiefs at Bills (+5): Monday 5pm on Fox
The Dean replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, that is basically the reason, IMO. The Networks pay serious money for their contracts. ESPN's lone NFL product is Monday Night Football. The pandemic has made everyone a bit more flexible (thankfully) and ESPN allowed MNF to schedule another game, on another network. The games were staggered, so they overlapped. It undoubtedly hurt the ESPN ratings for the night. OTOH, Fox (and the NFL Network) loses their Thursday night game, and the ratings associated with it. Moving that premiere matchup into the Sunday clutter doesn't nearly compensate them for that, and the NFL Network is cut out completely. I see Monday 5pm, as a compromise to the networks involved and the Bills who now get an extra day to prepare after being forced into a Tuesday night game. It ain't perfect. But it makes sense. -
Nice piece. If you don't get much action here it is because it was posted and discussed back in September. Just an FYI IMO Peyton's "Detailed" episode is better:

Completely agree. In fact, I think this is something they should do when they are done playing football. -
Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football
The Dean replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Rams were certainly an tough win, and in retrospect I think the Raiders were as well. My point was, in the week before facing the Chiefs, it might serve the Bills better to get a tougher win against the Titans than many expect. I think people are expecting a walk-over. While I believe the Bills have a good enough culture to avoid over-confidence, it's natural to relax a bit after a blow out. -

I'm of two minds about this. Of course I'm always happy when the Bills trounce their opponent. But part of me is thinking a tough win might serve them better moving forward. They need to know even if things go bad for the other team, that doesn't make anything other than dangerous. Before heading the Chiefs a tough win might be better prep. I sais "might". I'll go with Two. Indeed,. "working out" isn't the same as practicing. -
And apparently there is your answer.

How in the world can you justify not kicking an extra point length FG to put your team ahead by 8 points? HORRIBLE decision, IMO. On the other hand, I had Metcalf and it put my way up on my opponent.

Beautiful. I tend to like the underdog situation when it comes to the Bills. -

They promised to be extra super careful. I'm sure that will take care of things. -

Far more intelligent than the insufferable whining by selfish fans who think the games should be scheduled for their personal convenience. Yes, you are allowed to be annoyed. But you can choose to keep it to yourself and understand how minor of an issue your personal inconvenience is in the big picture. -

You know this is nonsense, right? What makes you think the NFL and the networks' don't understand the impact air times (and other factors) have on ratings?
