Week 5: Bills at Titans on Tuesday Night Football

Yes, the NFL should consult with you before scheduling any game, to make sure it's convenient for you. -

When I lived onnthe West Coast this happened every MNF game. When it was a Bills game, I found a way to get to a TV on time. But seriously I can't believe people are whining about a MNF game becaue of the start time. I think, if some here won the lottery they would focus on complaining about the taxes. -

Tuesday Titans/Monday Chiefs is about the best possible outcome the Bills could have hoped for, given the givens. But I wonder why they don't move the Titans game to Buffalo, if they insist on playing it. -

No it certainly isn't a good look, for various reasons. But other than being a bit clearer (or even somewhat clear) on the criteria they are using to decide rescheduling/postponements/forfeitures/fines/etc., I think they are in a a big of a lose-lose situation. When I first heard there was another Titans positive test, my very first thought was "Well that takes care of the Titans game this week. It will have to be rescheduled. to later in the year, maybe even week18." But now I'm thinking they might actually try to play this game, which seems a tad insane, IMO. Then to further confuse things, the NFL postponed the Pats* game, but to do it, had to reschedule additional future games. It's clear they are now flying by the seat of their pants. I think (perhaps) they fear laying out their criteria and process, because they are constantly changing it to deal with the changing situations. Looks bad, but looks like what it is. A chaotic, every changing clusterf#$k of a situation,. -
I'll make sure I don't wish Ann Landers a happy birthday in the future. But to here sister, I offer this:

It's certainly possible to do two Sunday Night or Monday Nighty games. ESPN/ABC won't be thrilled about it, and some compensation will probably be due. And i don't think they can do this all year (though personally I think it's great). But if they want to get it done, they will get it done. Everybody is going to have to make a few concessions this year, I think. -

Well, without further info I'd say it's 3-1 they play on Sunday. Sunday has three possibilities: Early afternoon, Late afternoon or Night (possible doubleheader, but still Night). There is only Monday Night (possible doubleheader, but still night) We can speculate and pontificate about when it SHOULD be, but I don't think that means jack squat. -

Here's a hypothetical question. Would/should the NFL be more concerned/less likely to move a game with less lead time, if the stadium was allowing around 10,000 fans? While I really don't like saying "the fans shouldn't matter", given the present circumstances I think that might be the best line of thinking. The NFL should do what's safest for the teams and try to be as fair as they can be. They can't be perfect. But giving the benefit to teams who are now allowing some fans would seem to add more confusion and bias to the mix. Just my opinion. They seem to have let it be known the punishements can be severe. I'm guessing they want to get their evidence collected and ducks in a row before coming down hard. I'm also guessing the league has let teams know what kinds of punishments might be levied. Unless they are considering a forfeit, what's the rush really? -
Holy crap It Is ALIVE!!! Nice to see you around, Sage. I actually like most nuts (I will NOT include legumes). Filbert. Brazil. Almond., Pecan. Walnut. Pistachio. ETC. Why are there no red pistachios? Because we suddenly discovered we didn't need to get our hands stained with that red crap, once they started selling natural pistachios. That's why! And while I like them, I consider cashews and macadamias, the overrated nuts. They're fine. Not sure why they get all that hype. I also find them less versatile, but that could just be me. I also think pignolis' have a more limited use but are valuable at the same time. Never been able to cozy up to a chestnut. Love the roasting, and the smell. But no go-on the eating. Coconuts? Sure, they are technically nuts. But c'mon man.

Welcome to TSW. Buckle up, buckaroo! And also Welcome to 2020. Things be all screwed up. Gotta go with the flow and roll with the punches. Better to be thankful we have a team (includes players, coaches and management) that seem to be able to adapt to adversity tahn wallow in self pity, IMO. This is nothing but a flesh wound! -
Also, the world is chock full of public tvs. Plus, if you typically watch the games on a computer, you probably can find some way to watch this one.

Last night I read the only other Tuesday NFL game was in 2010. This morning, Nick Wojtan from USA Today Bills Wire claims this will be the NINTH Tuesday games, but does not list them: https://billswire.usatoday.com/2020/10/09/tennessee-titans-update-no-new-covid-positive-friday/ -
That sucks. Not sure what you are teaching, but when I was in your spot I typically had something up my sleeve. Any chance of a guest lecturer? Some related movie, or media presentation you can get a graduate student to give? Fever works though.

Only been one. 2010 Vikings/Eagles delayed by a blizzard. -
Sunday ticket is ONLY for Sunday regular season games. As this will be nationally televised no need for the Ticket to have it.

So sorry to hear the former BT owner passed away. Great bar. I wish I had spent more time there. Hopefully I'll get to visit one day. -

And, of course, the flip side is: If the Titans game is cancelled/postponed further, the Bills will essentially have had a bye week, giving them the advantage. -

Actually it wasn't well played. I just didn't get it. My bad, as in retrospect it was pretty obvious. I just didn't put it together. -

Illegal practice players? You think they would bring in ringers that aren't on the roster? -
