Browns not drafting Chubb at #4 was the odd pick to me . It made Denver keep #5 to take him instead of trading down to the Bills at a high cost.

I'm thinking Peterman as the backup for AJ until Allen is really ready and the OL ready to pass protect .
-
I sure hope they give Allen a full season to watch from the booth with a coach teaching him to read NFL defenses. Let AJ and Peterman play. Letting a raw rookie QB start before they can be developed could be a disaster.

It is good to have a off season coach like Jordan Palmer who also coaches Sam Darnold . I would prefer http://www.train3dqb.com/ who coach Brady, Brees and Goff. When the prospects weren’t working out with elite trainer Ryan Flaherty on the nearby beaches of California, Palmer—the younger brother of recently retired NFL QB Carson Palmer—put Darnold and Allen through hours and hours of film work, going through the basics of installing an NFL offense and dissecting a defense. In essence, he taught them how to watch film like a pro. His completion percentage number is less relevant to me. I think the guy is really accurate. I watched him throw for three months.(Palmer) https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/04/06/jordan-palmer-sam-darnold-josh-allen

What I Don't Understand About Fan Reaction to Allen
ALF replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Arizona was able to get Rosen for a real bargain was the big surprise for me. If Allen becomes a good starter I'll be a happy camper, any QB is a gamble. -

What I Don't Understand About Fan Reaction to Allen

I would feel better if the Bills had a real QB coach and veteran QB to mentor Allen. -
This would be great ! time to go for a franchise QB
-
He had way too many injuries , never had a decent season. That is why a solid OL is so critical , especially for a rookie QB who cannot scramble for his life. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6424/jake-locker

The OL is a big ? after losing Richie. If AJ is a pocket QB , could get dicey. I would just put another OL man in at the TE spot till a 5 man line works . Hope Daboll gets rid of outside zone blocking , the game against the Chargers was a disaster.

A great QB coach might see Allen as fixable after 2 seasons of tutoring and behind a good QB to mentor him. Giants would be his best spot just not at #2. He would not get that kind of coaching in Buffalo . jmo

Bills' 2018 Regular Season Schedule
ALF replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So the Bills do have 2 TNF games, the last preseason game where starters sit out is good. The 1st preseason game rest not a problem Great schedule , no west coast games , rather not play in NE* on Dec 23 unless it is a meaningless game for them. Play Green Bay Sept 30 when weather is good. -
Pats; 5 prime time games in 7 weeks???

More chances to see NE* hopefully lose is good. -
Ian Rapoport - Bills not going after 2nd pick
ALF replied to Ittakestime's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would think the Bills are going after #2. If the Giants take a QB there the Bills are out of luck unless a top 3 pick is Allen. Then the Bills can still get a top QB at 4 or 5. Just don't let another team that needs a QB trade up to #4 unless it's Buffalo. -
Russia had threatened to retaliate for the Allied attack on Syria. I think the new sanctions would have been used if Russia did retaliate. Since Russia did not use it's air defense to try and shoot down planes and missiles showed good restraint not to escalate .

Richie Incognito Un-retires via Twitter?
ALF replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Groy or Miller can play as well as Richie at LG then ok . If Bodine can play as well as Wood at C ok. I just don't want to watch AJ , Peterman and a high drafted QB get injured to save money when the cap is fine this season. I was counting on Groy to take over at C . I had hoped Glenn would be back healthy and he or Dawkins could play RT. I guess we will see how the new OL works out. -

Should The Bills Let Richie Incognito Out Of His Contract
ALF replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Richie was great his last 3 seasons , even did his best to learn a complex blocking scheme last season. So they rewarded that effort with a pay cut . That was a real insult.
