This QB has the "it" factor
-
I was not impressed with his accuracy on long passes (pro day) against no pressure , no coverage. He would not be a upgrade from Taylor jmo.
-
Only if they can fix the OL and have a top running game would AJ have a chance. This is a rebuild year so i'll settle for progress and hope for a top 4 QB in the draft. If the Bills can't trade up for a QB then plan B would be a trade for Foles later in the season if Wentz is 100%.

Sabres & NHL 2017-18 - Entry Draft on June 22
ALF replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I sure hope Housley can turn this around. Ted Nolan seemed to get the most out of young talent. If only Okposo could return to his pre- injury form , Casey and Ullmark next season and win the lottery draft for a change. -
Lamar is a good and humble guy. I respect him and think he could develop into a good backup but using his legs like in college and Taylor . That is still a good career just not a 1st rd for me.

Bad feeling that we take Mason Rudolph
ALF replied to Klaista2k's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would think Lamar and Rudolph would go in the 2nd rd at best unless the scouts see more potential then me. I would not reach for either one at #22 . Curious what Rudolph's wonderlic score is. I'm getting more impressed with Drafttek , I think Lamar will drop further after his pro day and wonderlic https://www.drafttek.com/2018-NFL-Draft-Prospect-Rankings/Top-QBs.asp -
I think Allen will go in the first 5 picks. His wonderlic sealed the deal. He will need to sit and learn maybe 2 years from the best QB coach possible. Sit in the booth with a coach to learn to read NFL defenses. He will be well worth the wait to develop. If the Bills can't trade into the top 4 picks , they are out of luck unless they get a lottery pick later.

If the Bills can't trade up for a top 4 QB , they are out of luck . Lamar or Rudolph at #22 maybe. A trade for Foles later in the season when Wentz is 100% another option. Allen's wonderlic score was impressive.

OBJ video ... Giants seem to be at an impasse
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope no team gives up more then a 1st rd pick to take on his next big contract and his issues. I do not want him here at all. -
He would be perfect with the Saints to learn from the master at the same height. Not sure the Bills would take him at #2

2018 NFL Draft: Bills GM would trade 2019 1st round pick to move up “We’ll do anything we can to make our roster better. I’m not locked in that I would or I wouldn’t. It would have to make sense and be a player that we really felt strongly about to do that.” https://billswire.usatoday.com/2018/03/26/2018-nfl-draft-buffalo-bills-2019-first-round-pick/

Per Beane, no discipline from team for Zay Jones
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Johnny Manziel says Bills WR Zay Jones will 'be fine' following arrest “He’ll be fine, brother,” Manziel said. “I know Zay, I know Cayleb [Jones] personally. I think he’ll get it sorted out and he’ll be alright.” https://billswire.usatoday.com/2018/03/26/buffalo-bills-zay-jones-johnny-manziel/ -
GMFB Debate: What Should the Bills Do in the NFL Draft?
ALF replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bill's can trade up to #2 there is no guarantee he will not be a bust or get a severe injury . Drafting a QB is a big gamble ,the transition to the NFL is too big, but this is the draft to try. -
If the Bills can't trade up to #2 or #4 I would be ok with Lamar at #12. If he is gone by then Rudolph
-
You are McBeane, what would you do in the 2018 NFL Draft?
ALF replied to BBillsWestCoast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Moving up to #2 or #4 is the only option even if that QB turns out to be a bust. Taking a QB at #12 or later would be a riskier lottery ticket. This is the draft to go for it. -
An omnibus spending bill is a type of bill in the United States that packages many of the smaller regular appropriations bills into one larger single bill that could be passed with only one vote in each house. Because of their large size and scope, omnibus bills limit opportunities for debate and scrutiny. Historically, omnibus bills have sometimes been used to pass controversial amendments. For this reason, some consider omnibus bills to be anti-democratic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omnibus_bill Good catch B-man , now more then ever have to research and fact check

To move up to #2 , would trade #12 , #22 , 1st and 2nd rd in 2019. Maybe a player if needed to make it happen. I want to keep picks in 2018 after 1st rd to fill needed positions. Plenty of cap space in 2019 to get free agents to cover for those traded draft picks.

Uncle Sam needs to borrow a ton of money this week — in the middle of a fight with its biggest creditor. The United States plans to sell about $294 billion of debt, according to the Treasury Department. That's the highest for a week since the record set during the 2008 financial crisis. Federal revenue is declining because of President Trump's tax cuts, so the government needs to borrow more to make ends meet. At the same time, Washington's borrowing costs have climbed rapidly in recent months. "The amount of debt coming on the market this week is extremely large," said Rick Rieder, global chief investment officer of fixed income at BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager. http://money.cnn.com/2018/03/27/investing/us-debt-sale-record-treasury/index.html

Tyler Dunne heard Cordy Glenn "checked out" after big contract

I like Dunne but I like Glenn more . I don't buy it, he was injured. -
Rams trying to trade for OBJ per NYDN
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OBJ and Aaron Donald both going into 5th year option want big money now. With a large bonus for both it's possible. It sure looks like they are going all in this season.
