U.S. Trade Deficit Grew to $566 Billion in 2017, Its Widest Mark in Nine Years https://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-trade-gap-highest-in-nine-years-in-december-1517923918 The national debt will keep going up as long as the trade deficit is this massive . We are no longer in a deep recession to warrant this kind of budget deficit. imo

The CBA is hurting the NFL by not letting teams develop a new QB in the off season a lot more. Working on mechanics and film learning to read defences. No contact but a lot of work needed with coaches. Now more then ever a drafted QB needs to sit out 1 or 2 years and watch from the booth with a coach

NFL's Aldon Smith posts cryptic photo while being sought by police The Mercury News, citing dispatch audio, reported that the alleged victim said Smith bit her wrists and may have fled in a black Range Rover. A San Francisco dispatcher reportedly said that Smith drank two bottles of tequila. The troubled linebacker has been arrested several times on charges of drunken driving, vandalism and illegal possession of assault rifles among other charges since the San Francisco 49ers drafted him in 2011 in the first round. The 49ers released him 2015 after he was arrested and charged with his third drunken driving in four years. http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2018/03/05/nfls-aldon-smith-posts-cryptic-photo-while-being-sought-by-police.html

If that happens I take a QB at 21 and 53 and hope for a winning lottery ticket.

Watching the combine left me even more confused on QBs. The new rookie salary slots are the best thing that could have happened for rd 1. The Top 5 Quarterbacks in the 2018 Draft The Wonderlic prop is specifically for the five quarterbacks at the top of the draft class. These were the odds that were first posted - 6 days ago Josh Allen, Wyoming: +130 Josh Rosen, California-Los Angeles: +225 Sam Darnold, Southern California: +400 Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma: +500 Lamar Jackson, Louisville: +1000 https://www.actionnetwork.com/nfl/article/bet-qb-wonderlic-scores

White House chief of staff John Kelly expressed some regret about leaving the Department of Homeland Security for his current job. "Truly six months -- the last thing I wanted to do was walk away from one of the greatest honors of my life, being secretary of homeland security, but I did something wrong and God punished me, I guess," he quipped onstage at a DHS anniversary event on Thursday. https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/03/politics/cnnphotos-week-in-politics-0304/index.html What a tough job he and Jeff Sessions have

Lamar Jackson on why he chose Louisville ...

I look forward to watching his 40 time at his better weight now. I like to root for the humble , good guy. -
It looks like the Iraqi Army finally has it together to go against ISIS with U.S. air support. I give the Kurds credit also.

Now that Trump has the attention of other countries with his tariffs , maybe now they will sit down and negotiate fair trade deals.

Bills need all 8 picks in the draft to get better.

Unless the new scouting staff and Beane are sure their QB will be there at 21 this is the draft to try and trade up. The price will be high bidding against other teams needing a QB. I just hope the Browns sign Cousins and trade us #4. Another trade up to #2 if the Giants rather rebuild around Eli and take a QB later. Pat Schurmur did wonders with Foles and Keenum. -
Bears need a safe backup for Trubisky now that Glennon is gone. How good a draft pick for Taylor ?
-
Keeping Taylor depends on free agency and the draft playing.out. How confident they are in Peterman also a factor.

ESPN's Josina Anderson reports impending free agent ILB Zach Brown wants "top-three inside linebacker" money. Luke Kuechly ($12.36 million), Bobby Wagner ($10.75 million), and Alec Ogletree ($10.5 million) are currently the league's three highest-paid inside linebackers. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7510/zach-brown

Not for $10M a year with his injury history , and what he did to Tre White.

Preston Brown thinks he can help the Patriots

Sabres & NHL 2017-18 - Entry Draft on June 22

When first hired Housley vowed to bring the passion back to Buffalo. "It's amazing when you look at this roster how many good pieces there are," Housley said. "There's a lot of intriguing pieces about this hockey club." During his four seasons with Nashville, Housley coached a group that became one of the best defenses in the NHL and was a major reason the Predators advanced to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since entering the League in 1998. https://www.nhl.com/news/phil-housley-hired-as-buffalo-head-coach/c-289942404 Looking ahead to next season with help from Amerks especially Ullmark. Jury is out on is it Housley or players or both. Now without Kane , hmm No one can say Terry isn't trying or cheap. Suppose to have a better scouting dept now, time will tell. -
IF we don’t get a FA QB, and can’t trade up....
ALF replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This would be the draft to try and trade up with picks , maybe a player, even if it's McCoy. Look back at the 2013 draft for QBs EJ Manuel at 16 , Geno Smith at 39 , Mike Glennon at 73 , Matt Barkley at 98 If the Bills can't trade up take a QB at 21 and maybe at 53 , keep Taylor as the bridge. Peterman to PS unless he shows major progress in preseason and can outplay QB at 53 My target for a longer term bridge was Alex Smith , to give a drafted QB time to develop or draft another. So much for that plan. After looking further at the available FA QBs , maybe Keenum , doubt Foles will be traded till Wentz is 100%. Keep Taylor or a cheaper bridge till Foles is ready to be traded could be a option. -
Looking at his first 2 years , not impressive to be a bridge here http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/9274/teddy-bridgewater

If the Bills could not trade up , then Bridgewater and take a QB at 21 works for me.

Jags release RB Chris Ivory - Update! Visited Bills 2/26

Only if it takes McCoy in a deal to trade up for a QB. -
Would like to see Rosen and Jackson at a higher weight. Jackson has CB / WR speed 4.34 (school timed) , hand size next ? He would be a project , seems like a very humble , hard worker.
-
Davis had a base salary of $10M in 2017 , little more then Gaines is projected for 2018 by spotrac. Maybe a show me contract with incentives for Davis who will be 30 on May 27. Better then just letting Gaines walk if he is asking too much with injury history.
