I was hoping the Browns would sign Cousins , take Barkley at #1 and trade #4. Taylor would be too expensive a backup for Cousins. How much it took for Alex Smith surprised me.

Teams need one last chance to re-sign their players who are about to be free agents. Seems this year is a lot looser in tampering then the past. Risky if some team complains.

My mistake , the Browns do have the cap room if they really wanted McCarron over Taylor.

There is no telling what would be needed to trade up for a QB this year. I want to keep Glenn and find out if he or Dawkins can play RT. Seeing he's coming off surgery his trade value now is more limited. I would be willing to offer (3) 1st rd picks to move up for Rosen , Mayfield or Darnold. If that can't happen stay put and rebuild with all those picks and take a QB .

In this draft it would take at least (3 ) 1st rd picks or 2 with either Glenn or Dawkins to move up enough for a prime QB . I would do it .
