  1. He thought buffalo was in rhode island and we haven't been as far as the wildcard since the 40's so..... It is always fun to watch a patriots fans spirit get crushed though
  2. Really depends on the deal they make. They could easily make a team option in which all games from a team are available.
  3. Of course that will stay available, I was talking about other options as opposed to that. Shouldn't need to subscribe to 75+ channels to get one dang game that switches networks every so often.
  4. Outside of a single super bowl season, he has arguably been equal or worse than McDermott in the post season. Not to mention he had a 5 year veteran Brees when he started as opposed to McDermott with Taylor for a year and rookie Josh Allen for another. So yes of course super bowl win trumps all but the guy couldnt get back to it in 11 years afterwards with Drew Brees at QB. Why do people think super bowl is the rule for him as opposed to the exception and that we are any more likely to get there with him over McDermott? First 5 seasons - Payton 1-1 Loss NFCCG No Playoffs No Playoffs Super Bowl win 0-1 Loss Wildcard First 5 Seasons - McDermott 0-1 Loss Wildcard No Playoffs 0-1 Loss Wildcard 2-1 Loss AFCCG 1-1 Loss Divisional
  5. It is brutal. He was sitting on that bench thinking he got it done. Just brutal. Has to be crushing but he will bounce back.
  6. Im not sure this true. Anecdotal but as someone looking for a team to root for, I didnt really care where they played and almost settled on Pittsburgh due to proximity, but eventually rested on Houston Gamblers due to the Jim Kelly connection. If there was a Buffalo team it would've been a no brainer. It is a good way to keep the league's expenses down in the beginning too.
  7. Sure hope so! I do not own any apple device and havent bought into that ecosystem at all. Very much looking forward to a streaming option for the NFL in one deal rather than Fox here, NBC there, CBS Bills, ESPN Monday, etc
  8. 300 million over 7 years doesn't seem like a lot and i doubt that is even net income. Projected over 30 years it might barely cover a new stadium? Meanwhile they keep the team here and NY/Erie County rake in the tax revenue from players contracts, coach contracts, organizational payroll, ticket sales, merchandise sales, etc etc etc. The fairest way is a split between public and private funding which is what they did. Yes the state paid a bit more but they dont have the leverage being a small market team.
  9. Why would his agent suggest pittsburgh if the contract was what the Bills would have easily offered?
  10. Not sure if anyone else mentioned it, but you could get the game books they distribute for free and frame those instead? Won't have your seat listed though of course. I am of the same mind to want to have something to piece together like that. Some people just don't understand.
  11. Like I said, Buffalo likely inquired with his agent, but Buffalo wasn't one of his clients desired destinations. Once those destinations didn't pan out, agent probably said why don't we take a look at Buffalo and inquired back.
  12. I'd think he gave his agent a list of warm weather teams he wants to play for and when none bit for what they thought he was worth, his agent pitched Buffalo to him, so he took a closer look at the roster, knew Josh Allen is a beast, and saw the facilities and then pulled the trigger on buffalo.
  13. That begs the question, can Brady own a team and play for a team in two different cities? Or does it have to be the same city?
  14. Brady doesn't have the wealth to wrestle the dolphins away from Ross right? It is nagging at me all this bad press about the Dolphins coming out and then all of a sudden Brady would be part owner in some way? Like after this year, whats to stop that from happening? He probably doesnt have the $ to do that though.
  15. It is a negotiating tactic to get the 49ers fans on ownerships butt.
  16. He was the interim head coach. Also its up to the candidate to win the interview. Because Mularkey was told he was going to get the job does not mean that during Horton's 4 hour interview he couldn't have convinced them that he was the better candidate. I've been told before I am a favorite for a position and even had insider preference to choose me, but I lost out because someone else convinced them they were the better fit. I find it hard to believe a court will somehow say that Mularkey on the podcast is evidence that the Titan's management's mind could not have been changed had Horton had an incredible interview.
  17. I'm sure Pete Carroll would've drafted Tom Brady if it weren't for being fired from the Patriots and replaced by Belichick too.
  18. The rooney rule itself is what is humiliating and to blame. The Titans knew who their head coach pick was, but the rule forces them to find someone who fits a particular designation in order to be cleared to hire the guy they know they want? Mularkey wasnt even an outside candidate, he was the interim head coach at the time.
  19. With all of this talk about Miami, is Fitzpatrick the subject of the "you're sticking with that mother$%$%#%" then? At the time I believe he was the starter and Tua was a rookie. So probably not about Tua.
  20. Don't Poyer and Hyde help cover up our deficiencies at corner though? Especially with White out last year? I think we'd better hit on either another CB or a S before letting him go.
  21. Its just so reminiscent of the same song and dance they told us for 20 years. Glad he's not the one in charge.
  22. The problem I have is this: Given the below list of 1st/2nd round pick RB's, 1) With 20/20 hindsight, which ones would you pick with a 1st round pick? and 2) without 20/20 hindsight is it worth the cost of getting it wrong? Cause that seems likely and I say no it's not. I am sure you can do this with other positions, but we need help elsewhere. 2021 - Najee Harris Travis Etienne Javonte Williams 2020 - Clyde Edwards-Helaire D'Andre Swift Jonathan Taylor Cam Akers J.K. Dobbins AJ Dillon 2019 Josh Jacobs Miles Sanders 2018 Saquon Barkley Rashaad Penny Sony Michel Nick Chubb Ronald Jones Kerryon Johnson Derrius Guice
  23. Not after the Bruce Arians move.
  24. I can see that, I dont watch tv news that much, but cant you get an antenna and get that over the air still? Some of the free cable apps give you national news free i thought but im sure that depends on what you watch. Sports I bite the bullet and subscribe to Hulu live or something for those few months and then cancel. Ultimately, the NFL was never on a streaming app though, so although this may mean it is one more streaming app, you cant really get it anywhere else. It would be pretty amazing if there was a subcription tier like nfl game pass where you could select aired games and rewatch like you pick an episode of the Office in the streaming app.
