Where does the 50% chance of winning with the 2pt conversion come into play? Is it only considering game winning 2pt conversions? How many of those have there actually been? What teams? Home/away? There is just too many factors. If I were Harbaugh, I'd argue more that he thought his team could win it there rather than relying on some stat that takes into account the panthers going for 2 against the bills bc they dont have a kicker. How does it even relate?

Final 3 games for all the AFC North teams

We did stop them. They punted what 8 out of 11 times? I dont understand this myth that we couldn't. The single touchdown was right after Breida gifted the ball to their offense. The defense put our offense in a position to win the game and the offense fell short. -
Yeah freezing your butt off or being drenched in rain is really just more exciting. Especially with what you'll pay in PSLs. Also I gave two examples of critical games in which weather negatively impacted our play and had large implications on the Bills season. Can you give me an example in which Josh played in a dome, and we said "man, if only it were pouring rain or snowing, we'd be winning this game bc josh is just so good in the 😮elements😮"
-
Build a dome. Late January / early February games in the snow is not ideal for Allen in a QB driven passing league. The stubborn idea that we benefit more from bitter terrible weather is silly. We lost the Chiefs game in the rain last year, we lost the pats game in the wind this year. 1 lost us home field advantage against the chiefs in the AFCCG game, and the other lost us the division (potentially temporarily).

I get it, phrasing just sounds as though you are projecting a loss so that we can sneak into the playoffs as we've done in the 20 years prior to the pre mcdermott era. -
its not about what ifs. Its about the claim that your offense did enough. They did a very small amount. I'd say the same about the Bills-Pats game last year. The offense did not do enough to win. They required a stop by our defense to at the very least avoid OT. I would not pretend the offense kept that game out of reach for the Pats.
-
The fact that the bills got stopped at your 15 yard line on a game winning drive means your defense did enough to win. If they did not, then your offense would have been outscored. So while yes, you did end with more points, there was some chance at the end that you may not have. Hindsight is 20/20. If you didn't know the outcome of the game, would you think your offense scored enough points 14-10 with Allen driving down to your 15 yard line with 2:00 minutes left? I'd guess not. Also, I don't think the pats got lucky, but i do think 1 broken run play defined the game (aside from the wind).
-
Its not "what ifs", its the notion that the Pats dominated the game. If you are not implying they did then my apologies but your words seem to be saying they did. They did not, but yes the bills offense came up short on a potential game winning drive. It was a close oddball game. I am anticipating a different type of game next sunday.
-
Wait, I thought we were talking about what happened in the game? Now you want to just talk about the end score? Pick one. Your offense without that long run was not anything special enough to warrant "The bills waiting to the 4th quarter to adj. to what the pats were doing to them on offense"....
-
We aren't afraid of this bud. You are right, our offense didn't get it done from the 15 yard line at the end. But you weren't doing anything to us on offense. One long run and 2 field goals. 1st Drive 2 carries 7 yards (punt) 2nd Drive 3 carries 5 yards (punt) 3rd drive 3 carries 69 yards (td) 4th drive 7 carries 40 yards (field goal) 5th drive 3 carries 4 yards (punt) 6th drive 4 carries 25 yards (punt) 7th drive 5 carries 17 yards (punt) 8th drive 13 carry 59 yards (field goal) 9th drive 2 carries 6 yards (punt)

Why are we assuming a loss against the Patriots? Now this sounds like drought talk. We control our own destiny to win the division. -
How are we supposed to feel about this win??

We weren't even winning the game until 1:37 left in the 3rd quarter and even then it was only up by 2 points until 6:01 left in the 4th. The defense did step up and shut them down completely in the 2nd half. Just imagine if the offense wasn't able to get those field goals after the stops. Not a huge stretch. Much like the Jaguars game. This was against a terrible 2-14 team and if this Jets game was this year, people would be holding it as a prime example of the Bills offensive woes. I do think the O line has regressed though and that is the reason for that difference. -

Last year we were these three things away from being 10-6 A Rams comeback falling short A cam newton fumble on a last minute game winning (or at least forcing OT) drive A close (field goal only) game with the Jets 18-10. This year we are these 3 things away from being 11-3 at the moment with 3 games left: An Allen "trip" away at the Titan 3 yard line to win A crappy 9-6 field goal game against the Jaguars A game winning drive falling short at the 15 yard line in a crazy windy game against the pats. The team isn't drastically worse than last year. Did the ball not bounce our way in a few scenarios? Yeah. It happens. Is the Oline in need of work? Absolutely. I don't mind criticism, but there is a distinct difference between criticism and just berating the team. Some posters here just love to berate the team and make silly definitive statements such as "weak and soft" and "can't compete with the tough teams" and it's like are you even watching? Bills control their own destiny at this point in the division, so fighting for their playoff lives is a little dramatic. -

I dont really understand how this board can continue to critique the talent and skill this team has. There is little to no discernible reason for it. If we win, it was a "should have won anyway, and I don't like that we didn't put up 50 and allow 0." If we lose, "it was a terrible unforgivable loss, the team is soft, fire mcdermott, is allen the answer?" Either way, its just a pessimist way to look at the team, and in the end, its way less fun than discussing the teams issues in a more positive frame. Yes we aren't a perfect team, and yes we didn't come away with some wins in close games. But we have hung in with every single one of the top contenders. But to sit here and continue to denigrate the team is just foolish. All for the "told you so" at the end of the year if the Bills don't win a Super Bowl. Makes me wonder what the Bucs forum is like right now after getting shut out by the Saints. -
Is now the time to remove OJ Simpson from the wall of fame and HOF?
What a Tuel replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall
You are deconstructing history. You want the bills org to retroactively decide that he actually does not qualify for the wall of fame after he clearly did for actions more than a decade later that are unrelated to football. I don't know how confederate monuments get caught up in this but the more leeway you give cancel culture, the more they take. The rate they are going, even the founding fathers aren't going to qualify for any historical significance based on the notion that historically significant people can do no wrong, and if they do then they aren't significant. -

This is what the website says: The Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame was created in 1980 to honor former players, administrators and coaches who have played significant roles in the team's history. To be eligible for induction, an individual must have played with the Bills for at least three years and be retired from professional football. Also eligible are other individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Bills, including administrators and coaches. Selections are made by a distinguished panel composed of club personnel and media members. -

James Robert Kalsu was selected in the 1968 NFL/AFL draft by The Buffalo Bills and played as their starting guard. After a fantastic season, the exceptional football player was crowned by the Bills’ team rookie-of-the-year. Rookie of the year career cut short by serving in our military and sadly losing his life as a result. Not a large leap to make there. OJ Simpson was put on the wall in 1980 around 14 years before the murders. You are asking the team to forget that he qualified to be on the wall, and say based on later actions, he isn't a good fit for our "culture" and remove him retroactively. If that helps you sleep at night, fine. I just don't see how it helps anything. Most rational people can separate it though. The idea that the people who can separate these things are somehow immoral is absurd. Just because you need to cope with the murders by deconstructing history doesn't mean we need to. Do you feel the NFL should remove him from the Hall of Fame too? -

I feel sorry for the people who think somehow pretending he wasnt good at football will make it even. -
The real question is whether the interim replacement will actually run effing Robinson. Just barely squeaked into the fantasy playoffs because of less than half the production he normally gets the last couple games.

Again, just because you are unable to distinguish between the football players achievements and the murders doesn't mean the rest of us can't. He existed and did great things on the football field. And did terrible things off of the football field long after the fact. Gotta live with the fact that a wall of fame about football will take into account the former rather than the latter. -

How is it a monument celebrating it? The monument is celebrating his achievement in bills history, numbers and records. You can't erase what he achieved from NFL history just because you don't like the person. It is a part of bills history no matter how much you want to play the outta sight out of mind game. At the end of the day, just because you and others cannot distinguish between the person who committed terrible acts and the football player does not mean you have to force us to pretend he wasnt a historic player suited for the wall of fame. He is associated with the team no matter what. You can't erase history. Any self respecting fan would be able to distinguish between the two without being spoon fed it by whittling down his football achievements as some sort of retroactive punishment. Its not healing anything to take it down either. Its silly. -

Its comical at this point. Just out of the woodwork. Its like that person at work that you know doesn't watch at all but has an opinion on every game the bills lose.
