  1. I’m finally in a spot to comment. Everything I’ve read from Inigo, Success, and the above was spot on. Im incredibly excited about this offense, but the defense will a,so be better in many ways. Yes, we have the question mark at MLB, but it’s somewhat of tunnel vision on the board and in the media. Edmunds was not Ray Lewis in his prime. He’s a good MLB, but we of all places have room for flexibility here. Milano is still a 1st team all pro, our pass defense minus last year with all the injuries was top 3 for the McDermott era. Prior to 22, Hyde and Poyer played 95% of the snaps back to 2017. Tre is back and will be fantastic, and either Dane, Benford, or Elam will manage the CB2. Taron is considered a top 3 nickel, but here is the change. For 12 personnel offenses and heavy run offenses we have Rapp, our biggest safety who is young and talented to bolster and stop these offenses. Floyd had 29 sacks in 3 years amd will be joining GROOT, and 4 weeks later will get HOFer Von to menace QB’s. We are going with speed at the Mic, so that’s the least likely to be a problem in the defense. For those that don’t know Poona Ford, prior to 22 was an effective penetrating DT. He just didn’t fit into the NT in a 3-4 which is what Seattle switched to in 22. Im only elaborating on defense as I can’t add anything more than I man, success, and Inigo has already stated to start this off. Guys, stop watching ESPN, and hot takers on FSN, and so on. So my point to Aaron, let me come out of the dark with wacky tabaccy on 9/11, from the iconic philosopher, Mike Tyson. “Everyone’s got a plan until they get punched in the face” 40 yr old Aaron, prepare to get punched early and often by the heat seeking missile that is Matt Milano. Ping, Pang, Pao! Well see what the moron pundits have to say on 9/12.
  2. I am just going to soak in my six fingered friend’s comments added to Success and others before Oadd my two cents as I agree 1 mil. % of everything written here on this thread so far! More to come as I’d say there is a lot more positive to also add on the defense with only one ? area.
  3. Three might be it brother as they probably will add a QB tomorrow now that Barkley is out for the year.
  4. ‘I knew the problem and appreciate the logistics on dressing 8. I still think it was a creative solution as you can have Vandemark, Bates/Edwards, and Ifedi dressed. Meaning you have to pick who’s your interior backup. You can’t have both. Losing two interior guys on the fly in a game is rare. If happens, the outside have spot duty that could get us through it. I can’t speak to the rest as I plan to listen to the rest of the cast tomorrow morning.
  5. And the same vocal significant minority wouldn’t stop talking about how horrible Edmunds was the last four years.
  6. Chandman, thanks for sharing. I only had time to listen to the Ifedi portion, but he made some good points we have LT backup in vander whatever, Edwards and Bates for the inside. It’s not optimal as a left and right backup not the same guy, but that’s fine. BTW- Chand let’s finally get that game together for the Fish on 10/1. We can DM. If anyone else is around Orlando, we can have a mini TBD get together. Not too many 1pm games to plan.
  7. You mean firemen like this … Dude, stop watching ESPN. This is the hype train running you over on NYJ and the Fish. We are a much stronger team this year over last year with more depth in so many areas.
  8. I was talking about Willis on a late day trade, and both yours and my guy are developmental opportunities. I agree with the Movin the. Chains guys discuss. They evaluated the whole NFL, and we have the franchise guy in Josh, whether you like it or not the backup to fill in has been decided by McBeane os Kyle. The 3rd should be a developmental guy. My choice is trade for Willis. Yours is Cunningham. The idea is franchise, fill in experienced guy, and a developmental guy.
  9. You may want to edit your title as they signed him to the PS. Get on it brother.
  10. hey bud, my hope is it’s not a journeyman as we have that in Kyle. A developmental guy like Malik Willis as he can take two to three years to develop and TN has another QB to groom. Willis is athletic but very raw. He could develop over three years, and by year 4 of his rookie contract, and we could extend him on quality backup $. He could eventually be our #2. My point is get a young athletic QB who are guys can work with over time.
  11. Exactly, the running game keeps opposing defenses honest, but it’s not the cornerstone of our offense. Some make it sound like we were 26th in rushing on 22. They are off by 20 spots. We were 6th. It’s just overshadowed by our passing game. Think of Harris and Murray as one guy who will take turns staying fresh throughout the year for the banging part band Cook will last the whole season as our scat back. Kareen Humt and the other old guys are just Jags at this point. It’s why he, Fornette and others are still on the street.
  12. that's why it’s called PS. They get hurt and no big deal. If he could be depth for us, great.
  13. I hear Peteans available, wait another pic. The game hasn’t even started. Wait another.
  14. Doc, I think some people have done zero he on Poona from his time in Seattle. Seattle went to a 3-4 and he became invisible which is why he asked to be released. Carrol is a decent coach at the end of the day, but the couple years prior he was an effective 1 tech in a 4-3. He’s a sound backup for Oliver and Phillips. Phillips is effective, but odds on favorite he doesn’t make it 18 weeks.
  15. Did I mention my sister pulled in a favor as she’s been with the Sabres for 20 years. I can’t tell you who, but there is an admin person for the Bills who scored us 45 yard line lower deck normally $650 per ticket for $185. My boys nephews and cousins are stoked.
  16. That’s pragmatic speculation. To expand Donuts, I look at DK2 as a unit so 1100 yards total and 11 TD’s however it breaks between the two are rational goals for success. It’s not the yards it’s when and how they get them in executing for the most important goal, POINTS. Knox will be used more In-Line, and Kincaid the flex outside as currently Knox is the better blocker. Dorsey knows that and use each to their natural strengths as Kinkaid will learn blocking throughout his rookie year. I am cautiously optimistic on Sherfield and Cook. Harris hopefully stays healthy and can effectively be our banger.
  17. Fat chance Donuts, there is too much pillaging of beef and cheese burritos from MT, sheet pizzas from Blasdell, and Labatts lights. We’ll be there. Holefully you guys who know the landscape now with the construction have a lot to meet. Hammers was always our go to IR the lot next to it, but they are gone. when we get closer, the usual suspects chime in where TBDers are gathering for the Raiders. So far no power lost, so myself and couple of buddies are going binge some. End movies and crush a couple of cases for a hurricane party. We have to stay off the roads today.
  18. Someone needs to get BB’s dementia meds up to speed.
  19. This isn’t happening, but if it did, the team that has the cap, the picks and could absolutely benefit from him who has a stellar offense is Detroit. Those cats would thrive with Bosa. Lynch isn’t that stupid. They’ll figure it out.
  20. Wait Randall Cunningham is coming back. Wow. Just kidding. I’m in a Hurricane, that’s my excuse and running with it.
  21. And the 8ft. Of snow crush that place too. It will be snowmageddon! Doomed I say, DOOMED! Wait, Arent we supposed to negative all day, all the time and the sky is falling. I’m just trying to hang with the cool kids who thinks we’ll suck this year and Houses window is closed, closed, closed. Oh, wrong thread. See what happens when I’m stuck inside during a Hurricane with way too much wine and Amazon Prime on my hands.
  22. Rob, let’s not forget Scurvy, Rickets, and Vertigo. Oh, and chronic halitosis to boot.
  23. So many places to go with that one DJB. You know I like you so I’ll leave that one alone. Yeah this is the 2nd year they’ve asked Reid to take one for the team to pay the roster games. He’s a good soldier. Im sure Beane calls him into the office. Beane, “hey Reid, ah..”. Fergy, “ yeah, yeah, I got it. Can you at least send me some pizza and wings for this yearly event?” Sure, Reid.
  24. Tim, I just said in another thread and success really made the point before me Josh has the most talent this year more than 2018-22. It’s not Madden so we don’t have everything, but now having Sherfield and Harty to round out the WR’s, finally a real 12 personnel set with DK2, both McGovern and Torrence are real upgrades at G, and excellent depth with Edwards. Dawkins will be fine once the season starts and good depth with Bates for Morse. RT is still a wait and see, but he looked good against the Bears. The defense outside if MLB looks fantastic so we’ll see how this shakes out. Like I said, the best roster on paper since 2018 for Josh. I can’t wait to see how McD calls defenses this year as his reputation is impressive if you do your hw. All the way back to him getting mentored by Jimmy Johnson in Philly. That man was a defensive genius. Frazier at the end of the day was a good decision.
