  1. Five days ago we were the most over the cap. Things change fluidly when you trade Bates away, cut Naheem, and so on. We’re still not even close to compliant and the due date is coming. We also need at least 7 mil for the rookie contracts and emergency $ for the year.
  2. Yesterday some knucklehead wants to trade for Milano, our best defensive player, and now a question is of the best O Lineman we have who btw is a multi-year pro bowler. There is no way we would trade Dawkins. Just because you’re thought on the other guy who is a backup is to dump the best we have or is this just because he jaws at times. So does half the league. Im from a time it’s wasn’t done, but things change. I’ve accepted it.
  3. 10 draft picks, most likely consolidated to 7 by moving up will infuse a great deal of young, cheap talent. Contrary to some false narratives, Beane has had more hits than misses in his drafts.
  4. So you want to trade a 1st team all pro and just keep backups outside if Bernard? One that has a significant cap hit to us when we don’t have $. He’s basically the most talented player we have on defense and in his prime.
  5. Pete, it’s not doom and gloom. It’s widely reported we are the most over the cap team in the league. We’ll need to restructure, reduce, or release and prioritize current players. The good news is we have 10 picks. You may want to actually look it up before you rant about me providing objective facts. I still think we will be very competitive with what we can keep and what we can choose in the draft. I have faith in Beane and company. I also have faith in McD’s team being able to coach up players. That’s not doom and gloom. That’s pragmatism.
  6. Brian Thomas even ok f we need to move up a few slots to get him.
  7. To the OP, it’s a pipe dreams to think aere goi g to do ably t anything substantial in FA. The draft is how we’ll infuse cheap talent. We have the worst cap situation in the NFL.
  8. He’s annoying, but has grown on me. Especially after seeing this… It never gets old. Todd, Todd, Todd, Todd
  9. Can you really blame a guy wanting to start somewhere else, when he’s remained a backup in Buffalo?
  10. I wrote this 6 months ago the speculation was $256 mil, so off by 1. We’re goi g to be. Fine with a couple of restructures. 10 picks is a lot of cheap labor.
  11. Not that I enjoy him going to the competition, but I’m happy for him. He went through a lot. Now that he’s been cleared of everything, I’m hopeful he can have a long and fruitful career in the NFL.
  12. Amen bud. Doing the right thing is always right.
  13. In a way he is just a guy, but he did a lot of good for the Bucs. Living in Tampa for 30 years I’m very fond of the Bucs. I say this every time, but I’ll die bleeding red, white, and royal blue. With that said, I’ve come to root for the Bucs in the NFC. I believe the Bucs are just playing the negotiating game with Mayfield. I truly believe they will make some offer at some point. He’s good for the Bucs, and he had probably his best year.
  14. Einstein, I threw in $50. Im so sorry for the wife and kids. It’s for us to be sad about him as he’s in heaven, but for those who grieve over him. Thanks for sharing bud.
  15. Hey beat the Chiefs three times in three years in the regular season. We went toe to toe with them in the 13 seconds game, and this year we lost by a field goal. I know in 13 seconds it’s been discussed here at nauseam about poor coaching and it’s true. I voted one more year to get it right, but if he blows it again, we’re going to have to go out and start looking for someone. The problem is who? We don’t have a better option now. Sure, I’ve thought Ben Johnson, but his OC responsibilities. Doesn’t make him a CEO. I’m just hoping this plays out and we at the very least make the AFCCG in 24.
  16. This is just the guy who was caught. So many NFL players take PED’s. So many players just know how to fool it and work around the system. It was surprising as it used to be around April/May when they do their testing.
  17. CN someone send me the link to donate to whatever charity will help the families of the injured and the poor guy who died. I looked through the first two pages, and the 21st. I’d like to help, and I don’t care about anonymity. Helping people in need always supersedes any petty fandom thing. This is about people. That need help.
  18. Exactly. For the vet minimum he’s a solid backup. Especially since Josh hasn’t missed a game since 2018.
  19. They will either cut him, or he’ll have to take a serious cut. I expect a cut. I also expect Von to get cut even with the cap hit on both ends. Any savings is worth it as they are not helping the team.
  20. This is what I want to do sometimes with McD.
  21. To answer the original question, it’s Reid. Not Mahomes. Mahomes is a great QB, but they win due to Reid.
  22. I haven’t thought about the Goonies in 30 years. Funny movie. Chunk. Baby Rooooth.
  23. Patty boy (I’m Irish so we always end of converting Pat to Patty), you’re correct as this is media hype hot take crap. We now have a solid O Line, good RB, two good TE’s, one of the best most exciting QB’s in the league on offense, and contrary to what people are saying, a true #1 WR. On defense other than most likely letting Hyde and White go, we have excellent LBers, a DL worth extending some, amd decent CB’s. We still have one last year from Poyer. So yes,we need possible two WR’s, a Safety, and some DL help. We have 10 picks in the draft so we have enough ammunition as long as Beane picks well. Contrary to some scammers who get on this board, Beane overall has done a good job. Some people just have no patience to allow a player to develop. Case in point is Bernard. He looked suspect when he played a little his rookie year, but was excellent in year 2. Spencer Brown was decent in year 3.
  24. Eat more fiber. A little Metamucil goes a long way. 😩
