  1. Oh no doubt he could. I agree the D has to show some sign of life because we’ve already proven a few times that even in God Mode we can lose because the D is so horrific.
  2. The reality is, the next 4 games don’t matter that much. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to win every one of them. It means we already have the division and a home game, we aren’t getting the #1 seed, and I don’t think 2-4 makes any difference. I’d certainly like to go into the playoffs on a 2 game win streak. We’ve got 4 games to experiment with players/scheme to get an idea of what may work best in the playoffs. I want Milano in there every snap to knock the rust off and see if he has anything left. I want Coleman in there to get as many reps as he can because I think he could be a big weapon. I want Elam to get a real shot and see if he can play (I’m going to sht myself if Ingram gets the nod). I’d like Eli Anku to get activated because he’s the only DT with a pulse who stops the run. Put Bishop in there and see if he’s learned anything since getting smoked against Houston. Bench Ed Oliver and tell him he sucks and maybe that will light a fire under his over paid ass when he gets back in for the playoffs. I’d only put Kincaid in there if he’s 100%. He’s in a sophomore slump and Knox is a better blocker. We are going to need our run game because Josh can’t go God Mode for 4 straight games. My biggest concern is the D-line. They just don’t have it and unless we see a significant improvement in play, we aren’t going past the division round again. I don’t think it’s the scheme as much as the talent. With all the money and resources we’ve put on that line it’s an indictment of Beane that they are consistently the reason we get bounced in the playoffs. I hope this year is different but I’m skeptical. Oh btw, McD should have definitely declined the penalty against the Rams because it allowed them to run 40 more seconds off the clock. That alone should have made the choice to decline an easy one. I was losing my sht mainly because of that reason. I don’t care if they went for it and made it, it was the time we needed to conserve and that’s where McD consistently screws up. Don’t get me started on the time out.
  3. I’m not a film guy but from my position as Couch GM/HC/OC/DC I see a very vanilla defensive line that depends 100% on DL winning their matchups and 0% on scheme to help them do it. I don’t see many stunts, I don’t see many simulated pressures. All I see is 4 guys rushing, usually a contained rush, and hoping one of those guys wins a rep and gets some pressure. That’s pretty easy to defend against. Would some of you guys please get of Milano’s jock? It’s completely obvious McD is just trying to get him lots of reps now to play himself into game shape and hopefully he’ll be close to the Milano of old by the time the playoffs roll around. It blows my mind that some people think a guy who hasn’t played in over a year is going to come in and be the Milano of old. I’m more than happy to let him get the rust off even if it means contributing to a loss or two. If we can get a healthy Milano playing close to what he used to that’s worth more than 5 Dorian Williams. IDK if it’s going to work out but it’s so easy to see the strategy here I’m surprised many of you don’t see it. Elam must really suck for McD to say “we’ll see” when asked about him. I’ll echo what others have said - it’s not the talent it’s that McD doesn’t trust him to be in the right place all time. He values consistency above all else.
  4. Haven’t read the whole thread but I probably agree with the sentiment that it was horrific game management from McD in the last 3 minutes with the biggest error being the TO. If you are going to accept the penalty on 3rd down, WHY PLAY SOFT ZONE. My god that’s 13 seconds all over again. Just assinine. We lost the game on the blocked punt for a TD when Ferguson got absolutely blown up. Horrible time for that to happen. What’s going to cost us in the playoffs is our D-line is underperforming. Oliver has done nothing, Jones is washed, and we have 23 reserve DTs who suck (Carter being the exception but he’s learning). Same old story.
  5. I’m not too concerned with keeping Kincaid out. I’d keep him out against the Lions too with that horrific turf. Come to think of it, win this game then play all second and third stringers next week against the Lions considering how many season ending injuries we’ve had to key players in that dump.
  6. It’s really weird. Josh can throw a beautiful over the shoulder touch pass to Knox or Cooper, but he has trouble hitting WRs when they are wide friggin open. He missed Diggs several times last year, MVS early this season, and Kincaid got injured due to an overthrow. Bizarre
  7. I’m sorry but this has Go Fund Me scam written all over it. This Kate Glaser got some traction with her pre-game post of this cute kid. I don’t think it was completely made up but I think it was seriously embellished by the mom. There has been zero corroboration from anyone else, and several people who were in the same section have posted here and on social media that they noticed nothing. Mom says the kid was pushed down the stairs, I think that’s complete BS. Dad says she was bumped into the seats and almost fell, I can believe that. That’s a HUGE difference in the narrative though and was worth over 30K in donations to the GoFundMe. Scam.
  8. McD is on the same level as Saint Marv. Yeah, Marv made Super Bowls but he had how many HALL OF FAMERS on both O and D?? McD has done more with less, and 13 seconds was an absolute disaster but that’s the only playoff loss I put solely on him. He’s done some self evaluation and growth while on the same team and that’s ridiculously unusual in the NFL. Usually you need to get fired and figure it out with the next team. There’s no way I would even think of changing this team/culture/vision for an unknown. After the Denver game I was off the McD train but I watched the guy self evaluate and continue to improve his game management. Sure, until we make a Super Bowl there’s going to be the debate but I can’t imagine another coach coming in here and bringing us to the promised land before Josh is out of this prime.
  9. Classic Buffalo Snow Game! Can’t complain about a thing. They should have dominated, and they did. Nothing more Buffalo than pummeling fair weather teams in the snow, making snow angels, throwing snow balls, and Joshua F’n Allen scoring TDs. We are on to the Rams
  10. This should be a cakewalk. That means it will be a last second win. I don’t care how it looks, just get the W. If we can’t defeat a beat up 49ers team who’s QB has a bumb shoulder and is missing half their team then we need to reassess our playoff aspirations.
  11. Tucker shanked it AGAIN hahahaha
  12. Dude do you watch the games? Williams doesn’t have a pic. He doesn’t have pass break up that I can remember. What is your agenda? It’s ridiculous
  13. Because Josh’s deep ball has sucked for over a year. He’s missed wide open guys more often than not on the deeper routes.
  14. It’s unfortunate Josh’s deep ball sucks. He missed MVS a couple times wide open like he did Diggs last year. If he can’t throw a laser beam his deep ball accuracy is no bueno
  15. What are you going on about? Bernard plays a different position than Milano. Milano is going to be on a strict snap count, he’s going to get a few plays here and there. The field will be perfectly fine, he’s over a year out of a fracture with no ligament injury. You are just making stuff up to worry about.
  16. Hahaha Tucker just shanked another close kick
  17. I’m not a Lamar guy but he’s definitely upped his game this season. I’d love for Josh to have guys that wide open to throw to several times a game. Andrews is coming on strong and Flowers is solid as well. With Henry in the backfield they are a tough matchup for us. We are built to beat the Chiefs not the Ravens. If we see them in the playoffs, I bet you see some 4-3 for the first time. The Ravens big issue is Tucker has been an absolute mess this year and its going to cost them.
  18. It’s clear as day that McD is inviting teams to run the ball. We are purposely giving light boxes and begging teams to run it. McD’s philosophy is that if teams are going to waste a lot of plays on the ground, it will force them to march down the field every drive where the chance for a mistake goes way up. It’s worked so far except against the Ravens who took us totally out of our game script. McD would rather bring a safety down in the box than put a 3rd LB on the field and take Johnson off. We aren’t going to switch things up against a banged up 49ers team and show our hand. I could see in the playoffs McD throwing in some 4-3 against the Ravens just to switch things up if they are running it down our throats again but that’s about it. I think we need to stop worrying about the run D so much. It’s strategic and McD/Babitch have done an excellent job adjusting to a teams run game even though we are running nickle 85% of the time.
  19. JFC with all this snow talk. It’s Buffalo, oh no! It might snow! We’ve had 3 games moved in the history of the franchise. Relax, it’s a Buffalo game in December. Some of you guys act like you’ve never lived here. One of the best games I’ve ever been to was the Miami snow game where Ricky Williams ran for like 200 yards and we still won. 75K people singing Let It Snow. Awesome. Milano is going to be on a severe snap count. I don’t expect to see any 4-3 against a SF team coming East in the snow with half their team on IR. Purdy with his bum shoulder isn’t going to be throwing past 20 yards so we will let them run as much as they want, especially if we get up. It’s going to be the usual nickle D with Milano coming in on obvious passing downs to get his feet wet.
  20. You are hilarious and your takes suck but it’s good amusement. You are like the Arron Quinn of TBD, you always have to have some contrarian take to try and make some ridiculous point. Elam is in the most CB friendly defense in the league and he can’t see the field. McD takes 7th round cast offs and makes them into serviceable CBs who go on to get solid contracts, yet Elam “played realty well his rookie year” and is inactive more often than not. He will get a chance to compete for #2 next year because Douglas will be gone, that’s it. They won’t pick up his 5th year option. Take a break.
  21. Bravo on the trolling. There are always a few who will fall for it. Go back to Fin Heaven I’m sorry your team can’t play in weather below 60 degrees
  22. Wrong. Through Sept of 2024, in his career Mahomes has had 29 turnovers reversed by a defensive penalty (21 int, 8 fumbles). Of those 29, only 9 have been the result of defensive Offside, 7 picks and 2 fumbles. So out of Pat’s 29 turnovers that were reversed, you can use that “free play” for 7 of them. Mahomes has BY FAR benefited the most from the overturning of his turnovers. Show me the numbers of Mahomes having TDs call back by penalty. I highly doubt that.
  23. The key to beating KC is you have to be up 2 scores at the 2 minute warning so the refs can’t take the game from you without it being 100% obvious. That’s a tall task, because the refs are going to try and keep it a one score game (unless KC is ahead) so they can affect the outcome at the end. No team has been the recipient of more game changing BS calls than the Pats*, but KC is a very close second. Mahomes has the most interceptions overturned by defensive penalties in the history of the NFL. That’s by design. So you just have to accept that the Chiefs are going to get the majority of the game changing calls, and plan to overcome that by steam rolling them. It’s easier said than done, but Buffalo has done it multiple times, we just need to do it in the playoffs if we meet up with them.
  24. Williams has certainly upped his game this season, but he still gets lost in coverage and bites hard on play action. He is regularly successfully targeted by opposing offenses. Milano at 75% is an upgrade over Williams. I’m sure they are going to ease Milano back in, but as soon as he’s near 100% he gets all the snaps. I think what Williams does is give us an opportunity to go 4-3 against some run heavy teams like the Ravens at times. I’d take Hamlin off the field and but Johnson at safety. It’s hard to take Johnson off the field for Williams.
  25. Zero percent chance Ben Johnson those to that sht show in NJ. He had his pick of jobs last year and stayed put. He’s too smart to put himself at the helm of a perennial dumpster fire franchise with one of the worst owners in the NFL. Woody brought those guys in to try and give the job some legitimacy because NO ONE is going to the Jets unless you are grabbing a division 2 college coach
