AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
34-78-83 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am with you on this. It’s not a popular mindset maybe, but I told myself all year long that getting to the AFC Championship with this team’s current construction, player transition and cap ramifications would be a successful season, bar none. With that said I think we most definitely can beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead this year, but it’s going to be quite a challenge and I fear the wrongly timed bad call or 3 swaying the game. cautiously hopeful -

The chiefs had what 220 yards of offense in their win vs HOU? They didn’t turn the ball over though. Hmm.🤔 it’s funny that nobody is diminishing their win. -

Couple points- It was the loudest I’ve heard inside the stadium since the 90’s. Even in the 300 section where lots of the sound normally escapes, it was deafening! The narratives all over the Internet this morning being about giving Lamar a pass with 2 turnovers in a playoff game are embarrassing, desperate and are just revealing lots of those who voted for All pro and mvp. People are too proud to admit their poor judgment. To ever win an MVP, Josh is going to have to dust the runner ups by so much because his back story isn’t as woke as guys like Lamar. It’s sad, but whatever, we won the game and I’ll take that over any award. And Lamar is great by the way. Bernard and Bass made the biggest plays of the game in our estimation. As many have said, this game was planned and executed much like that of the Patriots in their great years. -

That was not the called play. Josh checked into it. The actual play call we will never know. -
Let's see where members are watching the game today?

The O-line grading is even more wonky than LB

Terrel Bernard in question for the start of the Playoffs ???

It’s a quad injury per coach on his interview. Sounds pretty minor, and he said more day to day than week to week. Coach even said the only way TB would play this week ( in this meaningless game vs Pats) was if they had some major fallout at lb depth. The quad injury type also does not indicate an injury typical to being a whopping 10 lbs lighter than average lb size in the 2024 NFL. -

How is Spector kept in there??? I don’t understand. Williams is so much better. -

I still prefer the Ravens win. I get the arguments to the contrary though -

Lamar is not Josh Allen good, that’s pretty evident -

The adrenaline wore off. Houston is very banged up and not very good at this point. Bummer. -

Feel terrible for Dell. Houston is toast. The 5 seed will be advancing in the playoffs. Side point, there’s an unreal amount of Bills fan delusion going on here on some of these plays. yikes guys with claiming all the ref assistance or KC getting away with crap. Laughable. -
Name a player who is comparable to Josh Allen.....

At one point I thought Elway, but he couldn’t do everything Josh can. Now with his development I’d say closer to Steve Young -

Suddenly Mark Pike and Shawn Price bust through the wall wondering why they weren't invited to the party... -
Did you notice he also referenced the QB class of 83 and mention “ Marino, Elway, Blackledge and all those guys “? He does this all the time. Maybe Kelly fought Aikman too and not just Harbaugh, lol. Any way, F Aikman

It was comparing his patience to my own! lol

The old Josh would have scored on that 30 yard scamper over the left guard. 😇😀

Your patience is commendable

12/15/24 Week 15 Bills @ Lions Game Post Game Thread

The Bills O-line has become the most underrated part of the team in '24 (mostly among our fans). Not only the starters but they have good depth players there too. They're playing consistently well in both phases considering this is the NFL and there will always be SOME struggle. I watch the league (not just the Bills) more than a healthy amount, and they look like a top 2 or 3 line, and different than the ones from past years that was more a "made to look better than they are" line by QB1MVP (who is every bit of the best player in football). Lots of clean pockets, good push at the point of attack and able to open and sustain holes for the run-game in all but a couple outings. It's not cool to talk about the O-line any more, but they sure do matter every bit as much as they ever have. They allow the Bills to take a physical approach when needed, and they are talented enough to play well in a spread/ shootout situation just the same. These guys are crushing it out there.- 697 replies

Is there a world with enough room where Johnson and Brady can both be really good coordinators? I'm pretty sure there is.

12/15/24 Week 15 Bills @ Lions Game Post Game Thread

Ed O alone had 10 qb pressures in the game including a sack ff -
This game was all Allen, plus Brady ( easily his best game as a coach), plus our absolutely dominant O line plus the running backs and their great hands. Beyond that the D pressured all day and got the few stops they needed. With mostly backups in the back end. Ed O with 10 qb pressures and a sack/ff was pretty helpful too Then Bass came through after an awful miss and sealed it essentially

We just beat the F@&$!?&@ Lions in their place and these are your first postgame thoughts? Some people need to go back and wallow in the pits of misery they’ve dug for themselves for too long, too long to ever come out of. Just unreal. We got pressure today against the best o line besides ours in the game. We got 3 stops where we made them punt plus a turnover. All this with 3 out of 5 in the secondary being backups or rookies That’s how these games go when two explosive offenses get together. I’m floored by our own fans so often these days. it’s comical
