  1. I've added like 10 to my ignore in the past few days. A good cleansing every so often always freshens up the vibe of the board 🙃 I have yet to ignore the one in question though, its too entertaining for some reason... I'm sure I'll tire of it
  2. Yep, I agree which is why my comp is AJ Brown. DK was drafted later than he should have though because of doubts about his route running ability, was my only point about DK. "Weaknesses Should rely on footwork and body positioning over arm-extension to clear the top of his route Rushes through pattern ingredients rather than developing their flavors as a route chef Gears it down a little when turning to locate the deep ball Fails to sell route fakes to manipulate his opponent Breaks and stems aren't as sharp as they could be Had separate season-ending injuries in 2016 (foot) and 2018 (neck) Suffered focus drops when working back to the ball Drop rate too high over last two seasons Needs better positioning of his big frame to block out defenders on comebacks" So in the end, if I'm the Buffalo Bills and I'm looking for a WR2 legit, I take a small risk here for a big reward. On the contrary, if I am looking for a true out-the-gate #1 WR, I'd agree more with folks concerns here on Xavier. Now, if he doesn't show up all week here, then clearly he drops a rd. or 2.
  3. With amazing sources like 'Lil Dirty, Doug Whaley and Quinton Spain, how could he have gone wrong? I mean its not like they were all butt hurt or anything, right?
  4. I see AJ Brown potential... You could turn out right though. Your reasoning is why WR's like DK and AJ lasted til the 2nd round. In a re-draft, both would be rd 1 picks. With that said, I love other guys too like Franklin, Tez Walker, and Mitchell
  5. slow down and lets see how the week unfolds.... They are going off of a couple out routes (one caught, one not) and some 1v1 long ball drills where the ball placement was potentially not ideal. If it stays this way then you pass on him rd 1, but maybe he's still there rd 2 or 3.
  6. Will be interested to see how Xavier does throughout the week. If he struggles all week, just go ahead and make him a rd 2 or rd 3 prospect instead. Fortunately there are plenty of guys to like in the top 10 Wr's for our pick at 28.
  7. I can see the skills for sure. I'd say I watched probably 4 full games for the Niners this season. I was really just trying to give a take on what I thought Firechans main point was... The truth is often in the middle regarding extreme takes in one direction or another.
  8. I remember when local Buffalo supermarket 'Bells' was running with the Talkin' Proud theme and had even sold a local version of Buffalo Bills football cards. I still have some of them
  9. I don't think Campbell was "amazing" but certainly agree on the rest!
  10. I see that Legette played QB in HS as well. I like him even more than I did before. I think the one year of production risk is worth taking with this guy. He's the fastest guy on the field in his clips, and his size and physicality is something we need at the position.
  11. I think that's all fair and essentially what I am saying. Purdy is better than Jimmy G yes, but even so, the Shannahan scheme makes every QB that plays in it look statistically better than they actually are (as long as they are smart processors and good on a timing based offense)... some more than others in this case. Purdy is pretty darn good but he doesn't hold a candle to the top 6 to 10 freaks in this league at the position.
  12. I imagine McD will still be calling plays, and that's perfectly OK. The DC is essential throughout the week, not just on game day. And Bobby was a person that (I feel) was very important for the Bills to retain.
  13. He has certainly not shown to be good at selecting QB's, nor grooming or developing them. BUT, and this is what I believe Firechans is saying, Shannahan's offensive scheme makes average, or limited QB's look better than they actually are. He needs a QB who's fairly cerebral and can operate under strict timing constraints. If they have those traits, they can thrive in a Shannahan scheme. In no world is Brock close to the elite QB's in the NFL. And that's ok, because heck, they're still in the super bowl!
  14. #1 seems like something that could be easily developed in him since it requires physicality, which he has in spades.
  15. Scott, Prayers to you and your family and many condolences... I know how your heart aches right now. Rely on your good friends and family for comfort.
  16. Thanks. I really wanted to put him in over Dak, but Dak really does string together some very good games, and can do a little more (not much mind you) off script than Goff. I could be convinced otherwise probably.
  17. Mahomes Allen Burrow Stafford Stroud Herbert Hurts Jackson Love Dak
  18. Lamar and Purdy sure look MVP level out there today. Clearly more deserving than Allen/ Mahomes 😂
  19. McConkey just not an X or boundary wr in the NFL. Only for that reason am I not high on drafting him. Give me Legette, Franklin, Thomas, Worthy where we are picking and I’d be thrilled.
  20. You can see his speed on the field pretty clearly. He's legit fast. Pulls away from db's at nearly every opportunity to.
  21. Comparing the throw to the end zone Gabe option rt throw vs Philly is a little off IMO. On the 2nd and 9 play vs. KC, the read is very clear, and Josh and Shakir are seeing it the same way as Shakir starts his movement to the post (it was not as clear on the Gabe play in Philly). Its pitch and catch, easy peasy, and not a challenging throw (for Josh) if Josh doesn't get bumped. It's also where the overall play design wants the ball to go based on the defensive look and execution. You could argue about if the read numbering is high to low or low to high if you want, sure... and you could argue that a longer developing route will allow for a slightly higher chance of pocket contact, but also why would you when the Chiefs played the way they did and had like 3 pressures all game... I am 100% good with the decision, just wish the bump didn't happen.
  22. Its only fans... the coaches expected him to take the shot that he did if it was open, which it was.
  23. I'd say the KC/BUF = NE/IND comparison is MUCH more apt. We aren't losing our division like the Dolphins were. We aren't losing by more than a FG to the Chiefs typically when we do lose to them. We'll get them a couple times in this era (my opinion) Also, F*** Miami
