I'm eager to see JP too, but on a day when I see Drew being Decisive in the pocket, getting the ball out quickly, showing very good accuracy with receivers, not throwing INT's, and managing the game well (which BTW is what we've ALL been SCREAMING for).....Bringing in a QB who will need at least 2 years to learn how to read NFL defenses is not even something I would consider thinking about.

Your points are not one's that I can argue really. It's a feel thing. The people I learned the game from would have advised to punt and let the d play though, that's all, and I agree with them. 4th and 13 odds are about the same as making a basketball shot from half-court! And Lindell is about 33% beyond 44 yards.

I stand on the side that even if you have a guy like Vanderjagt, the right call is the one that was made. Yes I've read all the theories about playing to win vs. playing not to lose but it's really a sound, dare I say "no brainer" decision amongst the friends , and past coaches that I've been involved with in my meaningless football career. Take a look at the odds of a team going 80 vs. a team going 60, you'll be amazed. With a D like the one we have , it was the right call in my camp, but I do realize there are some "risk-taking" (IE. Martz) type coaches out there who would feel differently. Bottom line in my book is that we gave up 2 absolute Prayer passes to lose the game. There were mistakes made as there are in every NFL game, but I really can't put the balance of the game on that call.

What they didn't show on the TV view was that there was a defender behind Shelton in the endzone and a lob pass with no throwing lane would have proved a very strong risk for an interception. Taking the sack there was a good decision. People can look to three or 4 different plays in the game to blame the loss on if they want to and that can't really be argued, but ultimately it was 2 COMPLETE PRAYER passes that beat us today. It leaves a bad taste because we had the game won. It's really not a whole lot different than the Titan playoff game where our offense left the field with the lead and a miracle won it.

That's great and all, but individual complaints will have zero results. A large group such as I don't know, this whole board would fare much better IMO.

Just because you draft a guy doesn't mean he is ready right out of the gate. Reed has easily beaten out Evans so far through training camp and pre-season according to many fans AND coaches who have watched this guy for hundreds of hours both live and on film. MM has already stated that Evans will see plenty of action in the 3 WR set and allow Reed to go inside. "proven he couldn't be the #2 guy"???? Please explain. Anyway, in effect Evans is not going to be "on the bench". This is a non-issue IMO.

I think it's interesting also how once decent sports personalities like the Bulldog (when he was on 930 AM) and to a lesser degreee Shoop (on 107.7) could regress to this point.

I haven't come across more than a small handful of posters on this board who enjoy that station. The combination of pure unfounded negativity and lack of football knowledge on the station is nauseating. The big problem is that many of us are such Bills diehards that we will suffer to listen just because it's the only game in town. I would imagine if we took the 90% of posters on this board who think the programming sucks on WGR and sent a group email or petition to the management of the station, they might listen. Then again, who knows? It seems that management drives the controversial BS on the station.
