  1. Bill, I think you're a good Bills fan and I respect your right to express your thoughts but from what I have seen you have failed to even once convey any tangible evidence in the realm of offensive line play, assignments, and technique to support your insult laden and surprisingly empty claims regarding the play of some of our linemen, specifically Jonas Jennings (where I believe your observations were based on a game where the guy played with concusion symptoms) and MW. By no means are these two pro bowl performers but they are much more serviceable than they may appear to some and I have always atleast tried to back up these thoughts with game evidence. After a while "he's a piece of stevestojan" just doesn't hold up anymore...
  2. Exactly so now you understand my point that just the plain fact that the Pro Football Hall of Fame has a weekly palyer ranking that happens to use passer rating as the stick for Qb's is not the proof that "greatness" or "productivity" should be measured that way any more than using passing yards is.
  3. Ok thanks for the clarification. But (while I understand your point) I still have a question for you.... Would YOU rank a TE by receiving yards ? Hmmm...... Think about that one for a sec......
  4. Bingo !!!! I sometimes can't believe the self-generated soap opera nonsense that propogates around this board. As if Troy had any intention at all of "showing" JP something or even hitting him. I was wondering how many replies down I might have to read before finding some sense. I guess we can probably thank WGR for a seed well planted.
  5. I strongly disagree that the Pro Football Hall of Fame uses passer rating to judge Qb's. A quick look at the QB membership will reveal to you a host of tough guys, winners, leaders, and surgeons (the only group who would probably refllect your theory of how ratings are used in the Hall).
  6. I know where you're going with this HD, and we've seen it here before but as a nuetral party here when you look at your list (based on rating), it can look just as silly as a list based on passing yardage. (Kurt Warner 2nd best qb in NFL history ?? Bah!!!) Again I understand your point but it kind of blows up in your face. To add, QB's that run a west coast offense must all be the best quarterbacks ever , right?
  7. Yes, I was refering to what they knew of his character prior to becoming a Bill which is what counts when you evaluate the decision to draft him.
  8. Jerry Sullivan, of the Buffalo News, just said that Bledsoe is done!
  9. Is it because of the Flutie / Johnson debate that we all (well not all but most) feel we must completely polarize ourselves to the point that if we like one guy at a position, we must hate and ridicule his counterpart? Just wondering.... btw. I like them both but agree that Willis is the better option now. I choose not to throw away all the heart and effort and production TH has given us since his arrival and simply throw him out like yesterday's news. And I still like Willis. Imagine that !
  10. If Im an owner and you're my new GM and you tell me you're gonna take a guy who has already revealed nationally what an A$$ he is and that he is going to hold out before the draft even starts over a guy of equal talent with a much better history of character, then you're fired before you even get started.
  11. I believe he had 3 sacks (or 2 1/2) prior to the Raven's game AND has stopped the run consistently all season.
  12. Don't worry MDH, it's only the fans who are "attention span challenged" who exhibit such foolhearty thoughts.
  13. I think you are on to something there, simply based on Drew's stationary point in the pocket. Plus MW takes alot of flack by fans (including Peter King) for errors/ sacks given up that weren't even his responsibility. This in addition to the errors that ARE his responsibility which is bad enough. Bottom line, he has not reached potential, but hindsight critique of a GM's decision on a unanimously highly rated player does not hold much water.
  14. Ignore all the talent and stats for a moment...That my friends is why Eric Moulds is and will always be (atleast should always be) a Buffalo Bill.
  15. Captain ego? Get a clue and try thinking (or researching) for yourself instead of believing some fan based myth about how decisions are made at OBD.
  16. right now I'd have to say..... TKO Schobel Moulds Fletcher Moorman honorable mention to Evans and Mcgahee
  17. I usually stay away from comments like this but you are a complete retard.
  18. Graham was a joke of a kicker when we had him. Guys do develop and sometimes you can't afford to wait around.
  19. Well, that's pretty much exactly how I judge a GM (along with how well he puts a staff together). I don't see it like some others who use the corporate "trickle down" analogy where everything stems to the top man. The Coaches have their own responsibilities that don't fall back to the GM, as do the players. I am not one who would say any GM is a failure because he chose one draft pick over an equally rated draft pick at the time, in any round. Hindsight should not factor into how one can fairly evaluate a GM.
  20. Actually he's right. Yes they do. It's a good way to draw attention to a throw to force the hand of the ref a little bit. It's not fullproof but works more often than not if the infraction is blatant. Rich Ganno is an example of a QB who used this strategy often.
  21. I agree that this would be a good way to ease him into the fold, and help the team at the same time.
  22. I agree with just about all points Matty T. I am a MW supporter generally but was also dissapointed by his play yesterday. Although I found it very diffucult to "key on him" yesterday due to the nature of the television broadcast. I was trying to determine if the TE was at all involved in some of the mistakes I was attributing to MW just to be fair because honestly he's played pretty well THIS season up until yesterday.
  23. I'd hesitate to say the Line can't support being a running team when we pass the ball so frequently inside the red zone. At this point I'd much rather see run, run, run , FG than any od the plays they've been running.
