  1. TH was interviewed off audio today after the game and was reported to respond with a genuine sense of support for WM. I really believe the 2 of them have come together and worked out this thing amongst themselves. They both realize that they may not remain together much beyond this season and have accepted the fact.
  2. NIIIIICE! I particularly liked Willis's stiff arm on the whatshisname db that hit him out of bounds earlier...
  3. Price again showed that he is a better than average player who can step in for fairly long periods if needed. He had a lot of help (by design) from the Te's lining up frequently on the left side of the formation and getting chip blocks on JT. Jennings until playing with the effects of a concusion, had been playing well up until the injury, and has always palyed well when not injured. McGahee played great today! Showed great ball handling and great leg drive today most of all. The good thing the way I see it is atleast for this year, we will have the priveledge of having 2 quality backs in our stable. It's not a requirement in liking one of our backs to hate the other. Edwards did play well, especially on passing downs! I couldn't believe the news about Sam Adams. It's gonna be hard to keep him on the team after that incident. The win definetely felt great as a fan!
  4. FFS, Let's just say the old television set doesn't always give you quite the perspective of reality that you think it is providing. I was at the game and the winds were a consistent 20 to 30 mph with varying gusts. Other than the ball carrying on play 1 due to a gale force gust, DB's passes today largely appeared as though there really wasn't any wind. Didn't you maybe wonder for a second why every single one of Fiedler's passes wobbled like wounded seagulls (touchdown pass included)?
  5. Fact: Spikes was in mid blitz on the screen play and pulled off due to a good READ of the quarterback and the screen setup. That is how he made the INT. Why there are complaints about the defense today I can't even begin to understand.
  6. Bill, while I agree it's been a long time since you could feel real good about the Ol (@ '94) I really gotta wonder why you continue to root for this team (do you "root" or do you hope for failure to clarify your points in a message board?) . Everyone is either a loser or fat or sucks I mean you sound like a disgruntled house wife or something. You make some solid points at times but to me it is often clouded by your secondary school aproach to ridiculing these players. I'm sure a token answer is forthcoming...
  7. One could only hope -Comfortably- as well
  8. Price playing spot duty for Jennings normally would not worry me. The difference now is that we have Price / Smith(newb)/ Tucker (for the injured Teague) forming our left side. That, my friends, scares me ....
  9. Good work Kzoo, that's a nice layout and you express your points well. The only problem I see is that you tend to weigh the cheap, minimum/low salary signing failures (Robinson/ Watson, etc.) up there or equally with the high priced FA signings (which btw have all worked out pretty well). Sometimes you just take a stab at a player and if there is nothing really to lose in return, no harm done.
  10. The problem is that was not my argument. Shaw has a HISTORY, not one game, a HISTORY. My EXAMPLE was the jets game because that's fresh in people's minds, but it occured multiple times last season, and I would assume it has carried over in practice as well. There was also mention last season of Shaw running "poor routes" which could include "poor" reads.
  11. Will either of you even consider the part (even if not the whole reason) that missed hot reads played into this decision? It's right there on tape. I feel like a broken record.
  12. I know times are tough, but Nodnarb it's sad to see you going off the deep end ;-) This may help (kidding, well not really)... Go back to any tapes of games you might have from last season (beyond week 4 or so) and look at when Shaw is the slot WR and note how many times the opponent blitzes off that edge and how many times Bobby adjusts his route to a quick slant or short hitch to allow DB not to get killed. Now, look at your tape from the Jets game last week and watch the football hit Bobby in the back on a Hot route. That's all you need to know about Bobby. You're not going to hear it from players or coaches because the Bills are a classy organization in that fashion.
  13. No can do for me. :-( I've got a meeting to go to .....
  14. It's simple, if you are a WR and show a fairly consistent pattern of not adjusting your routes based on hot reads when the opponent blitzes, you're gonna be gone sooner or later. (this evidenced when the ball Hit Shaw in the back in the Jets game).
  15. Unbelievable , just unbelievable. I don't understand the need to manufacture stories that aren't even true...
  16. OMG some of these posts simply have me rolling :-) Amos Zereoue? Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!! OMFG! Fantasy football <> real football
  17. Thankyou oh voice of reason
  18. I'm with Campy on this. You do not have any more insight than any body else here that it was "lip service". Trading TH now would render the depth on this team completely useless.
  19. JJ looked poor last week for one reason. Concussion. As Lori says he has usually played pretty darn well against JT in previous meetings. I wouldn't like our chances against JT with Price in there even though he's a fairly solid player.
  20. While I agree that he is hopeless at Safety, don't you think he's a valuable player on special teams?
  21. I'm telling you guys the release was because of the (lack of) hot read adjustments, which carried back to last year.
  22. Ahh, the pass in the back. I forgot about that. I also remember a quote somewhere last season which stated that although he was failrly productive last season, he did miss a lot of hot reads, which is exactly what happened vs. the Jets. This could be the reason right there....
  23. I don't see what this move accomplishes other than if it was some sort of disciplinary action. Color me confused until further notice. Good news for Aiken though :-)
  24. I'll be there, but probably not til @ 11:00 am
