  1. Since you can now set pre-snap adjustments for defensive player assignments, set a double- team on Harrison manually on every passing down, have your MLB drop into medium middle zones often, put your best corner on Reggie Wayne (since you're doubling Marvin), and rush with a DL. If your DL does not pressure the qb, try to stand your man up and jump as Manning begins to throw. This strategy will basically challenge the colts to use Edgerin James to beat you (which he still could )
  2. I was six years old, standing in the corner in the first grade because I had just told my teacher where to go when she tried to get me to write my name right handed instead of left. Needless to say by second grade I was going to a different school. B)
  3. Best wishes for your Grandmother...
  4. bump for this comment alone!
  5. I'll try to be there as well. ..
  6. The reference was to Physical dominance, ie wearing them out, having them on their heels, controlling the clock etc. The reference was not to mental or overall dominance. Enough already
  7. Simon , let me be the first to appologize for all the clutter on what began as a very cool thread....
  8. Maybe you should ask him yourself.... We dominated Physically on offense meaning we ran the ball right at them and continued to do it wether they knew it was coming or not. We had a huge T.O.P. edge in the game, and the only thing that stopped our drives were mental miscues. I realize you are not a Bills fan so you wouldn't have seen this in depth into the game in week 1.
  9. In week one, buffalo dominated from a physical standpoint on O, even though they lost. This is what I , and ultimately Simon, was refering to. I'm sorry you couldn't grasp that mr. reading is fundamental. re: my response to Helmet... I see nothing negative about what I said.
  10. Actually it was you who began the petty attempt at reading comprehension violations patrol Also, I know that if Simon wanted to point out week one of LAST season, he would have stated "week 1 of last season". That was also not a game where we "physically punished" the Pats via the running game, so that was another clue for ya B)
  11. Actually no he didn't smartass. Try reading again typical He referenced week 1 of THIS year Einstein.
  12. Nice contribution Helmet Your statement has no relevance to what was posted. Why bother?
  13. I definitely agree on your point about Coy Wire. I think the Pat's staff is simply drooling over the possibilities of abusing him in all phases. The Bills defensive staff will need to have game-planned in a way to "cover him up" creatively. I'm a little more hesitant than you Simon in regards to getting the Pats into the 3-4. The 3-4 provides them more avenues for "mentally" attacking our offensive line. There are many more masked coverages and blitz possibilities that can be run from the 3-4 and it will require our O-line to be communicating at their highest level, which they have not been able to accomplish to date. Good post...
  14. I wonder if the team feels that Marcus Price would not be suitable as a starting RT? He's been solid in there in the past. I wonder if his injuries have just slowed him too much...
  15. MW's problems aside, Peter King has absolutely no idea what he's talking about there. I hate when the football media makes up stevestojan, it's annoying. Mike needs to improve in pass protection Yes, and fast, but those comments are from left field and are unfounded.
  16. I'm sure that's part of the story, but the crowd I speak of was there leading up to (from Levy's arrival onward), and long after the glory days on into the late nineties.
  17. HD don't kid yourself. It's not the Branch's and Watson's that worry us, It's the QB, the Coach, and the Defense. You will be at no evident disadvantage without the Players you mentioned.
  18. Yeah, it's a shame though that our crowd used to be twice as loud, hardcore , and saved the bickering til after the games. We could be a lot more of a factor than even BB mentions...
  19. I was there............ and left in the 4th quarter because I had my Pop-Warner awards banquet that evening ! I begged my father to stay til the end but he wanted to beat traffic and figured we had no chance of winning :-(
  20. Would you expect any less from the TBD experts?
  21. Meanwhile, others reply to the football side of your post and you offer no debate? (or than "no , you're wrong")
  22. Hey Ice, just exactly what on "film" am I supposed to be seeing to show me that EM has declined to such a degree? Sorry bud, I look, but I don't see it. All I see is a guy who's trying too hard to win for his team. Speed's there, routes are there, quickness, strength/ stiff arm is there. That's pretty much standard EM. Looks good to me. He's just gotta settle down a little.
  23. Freak, don't let ICE get to you
  24. I have plus I've seen him live in camp. Also I've been following him in camp closely ever since he became a bill so I have something to compare it to. Believe me, he is every bit the WR he was in 2002. I'll give you that he's not at the '98 level but that's beside the point.
  25. EM is not done. You could not be more wrong about him ICE. In fact, his speed and strength are back to where he was in 2002. The problem you've seen with him in 2 measely weeks is that he is trying too hard to make a play and not concentrating on the fundamentals (like catching the ball first, and going down when the play is over instead of trying to break 2 and 3 tackles). Also, ICE.... Do you think you were a little bit off on your Roy Williams (WR) assesments?????
