  1. Thanks Simon, you know I feel the same about your posts and insite and just the same, everyone knows that you're one of the most knowledgeable fans on this entire board. ....must .......shutdown......PC.........!!!! ....... Got to........ grab. ..........clicker!!! ......
  2. I'll see your Corey Hulsey and raise you a Corey Louchey
  3. I just can't believe my wife puts up with this Really guys, I know I'm not an nfl personell guy but I know good line play when I see it and Pucillo actually played well tonight. he is NOT a starter don't get me wrong. But I've seen plenty of worse backups through our years.
  4. With all previous floundering in perspective, Pucillo actually played pretty well tonight. I've got it taped and I'm already watching portions of the game again. Made a couple nice lead blocks for Simonton and Williams.
  5. We all can have our opinions on Shaw but the fact is his production last year in a TERRIBLE offense and steady production this preseason all but assures he will be no less than the 4th WR on this roster. Again, not a chance in hell he gets cut.
  6. not a chance in hell that Shaw gets let go. Not a chance....
  7. Just go back to last years posts at this same time about the running game. There were hundreds that sounded just like yours. Then comes the regular season and we stuff the run like it's going out of style.
  8. no penalties in a PRESEASON game??? I guess they must be "america's team" now ..... sheez.
  9. Apparently you need to watch alot closer because Drew has shown some things we haven't seen until now in his three years here. He's been getting rid of the ball quickly and decisively, avoiding pressure by stepping up into or outside of the pocket when possible. And the strength and accuracy is still there. The OLine has not played as a full unit yet either but there have been obvious improvements at LG and C.
  10. Gildon might have a slight edge in that he can play OLB if Posey gets hurt, along with pass rushing DE. I agree though that neither has shown much.
  11. I tell you..... Some of you guys and your obsessions over a single play in a guy's career. It's really quite comical the level of perfection that has come to be expected around here at times.
  12. The fact remains "ghosteroo" that I don't see too many other GM's getting 1st round picks for would be overpriced free-agents that in most cases leave with nothing in return. I would call that wisdom. You can call it whatever you like. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
  13. In general I really like eveything I've seen and heard from the guy. He looks comfortable in his position. He is honest and doesn't mince words. He has the player's respect already. He understands the game and played the game himself. If I was to get picky I might admit just a little aprehension I have about his fondness for trick plays. I have some good knowledgeable Steeler fan friends who warned about this. They say things like "you'll love the guy, right up until that double reverse call on the 9th play of a drive where you've been consistently pounding the ball down field", which of course we've already seen....
  14. Again I agree with you on that point. I think many of us do. But the size of the contract he demanded simply would not allow a future for the Buffalo Bills TEAM.
  15. I don't think I'd be going out on a limb to say that last season one additional solid #2 WR would NOT have saved our bacon on offense in 2003. It's not always about players.... Sometimes there are schemes and coaches (or lack thereof) involved too.
  16. You're right Jay, Moulds wasn't a top 5 receiver when he re- signed.... He was a TOP 3 RECEIVER. AND signed a VERY reasonable contract to boot
  17. Production (past or future) is irrelevant when considering what two Pro Bowl Salaries would do to the Bill's cap situation and other positions on the team. And once again , I loved Peerless but he cannot hold EM's jock. Sorry. BTW, Isaac Bruce is old and unselfish.... That's why Holt and he can co-exist.
  18. Jay, I agree with you about his production here in our offense and I was one of his staunchest supporters while he was here. I watched him closely in his time here and disagreed with many about the "alligator arms" phenomenon and the whole attitude thing (atleast the extreme of it). The fact remains that NO team can afford two contracts of that magnitude at the WR position and not feel the effects elsewhere on the team. The lucky teams that have 2 great WRs usually have one guy who is vastly underpaid or one guy who is nearing the end of his career.
  19. Yes, but the fact remains that Peerless indeed WASN'T worth NEAR the money he was asking for. Only a John Butler (RIP) type GM would have retained him for that figure.
  20. TD did not in any way shape or form "get rid of" Peerless. Peerless and his agent did not wish to negotiate a reasonable contract with the team, thus the team used the franchise tag to reatain him. He would have earned an average of the top 5 salaries at his position and the Bills were willing to give that to him (which in itself was too much$) for a 1 year contract. Peerless and his agent incorrectly felt that they should be paid as a star #1 WR, which Peerless has proven not to be. TD in his wisdom even obtained a #1 pick for Peerless by creating urgency by ATL to sign him. We basically received something for nothing as Peerless no longer wished to play as a #2 WR.
