  1. Will either of you even consider the part (even if not the whole reason) that missed hot reads played into this decision? It's right there on tape. I feel like a broken record.
  2. I know times are tough, but Nodnarb it's sad to see you going off the deep end ;-) This may help (kidding, well not really)... Go back to any tapes of games you might have from last season (beyond week 4 or so) and look at when Shaw is the slot WR and note how many times the opponent blitzes off that edge and how many times Bobby adjusts his route to a quick slant or short hitch to allow DB not to get killed. Now, look at your tape from the Jets game last week and watch the football hit Bobby in the back on a Hot route. That's all you need to know about Bobby. You're not going to hear it from players or coaches because the Bills are a classy organization in that fashion.
  3. No can do for me. :-( I've got a meeting to go to .....
  4. It's simple, if you are a WR and show a fairly consistent pattern of not adjusting your routes based on hot reads when the opponent blitzes, you're gonna be gone sooner or later. (this evidenced when the ball Hit Shaw in the back in the Jets game).
  5. Unbelievable , just unbelievable. I don't understand the need to manufacture stories that aren't even true...
  6. OMG some of these posts simply have me rolling :-) Amos Zereoue? Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!! OMFG! Fantasy football <> real football
  7. I'm with Campy on this. You do not have any more insight than any body else here that it was "lip service". Trading TH now would render the depth on this team completely useless.
  8. JJ looked poor last week for one reason. Concussion. As Lori says he has usually played pretty darn well against JT in previous meetings. I wouldn't like our chances against JT with Price in there even though he's a fairly solid player.
  9. While I agree that he is hopeless at Safety, don't you think he's a valuable player on special teams?
  10. I'm telling you guys the release was because of the (lack of) hot read adjustments, which carried back to last year.
  11. Ahh, the pass in the back. I forgot about that. I also remember a quote somewhere last season which stated that although he was failrly productive last season, he did miss a lot of hot reads, which is exactly what happened vs. the Jets. This could be the reason right there....
  12. I don't see what this move accomplishes other than if it was some sort of disciplinary action. Color me confused until further notice. Good news for Aiken though :-)
  13. I'll be there, but probably not til @ 11:00 am
  14. I hope so as well but I haven't really looked at him as far as blocking skills go. What have you seen in regards to his abilities in that area?
  15. Jeez 1billz, I meant "plenty around here" as in Trolls, etc... I guess that came out the wrong way. But I still think you're silly trying to base anything on our coach's comments to a media outlet. Did you ever stop to think that they just do this because they have to?
  16. 1bills, there are plenty around here who'd be happy to stick your foot in your mouth without you doing it yourself ;-). Do you honestly think he doesn't know what he's talking about or that you somehow know better?
  17. Umm, probably because the guy playing in there now is better than him. BTW, You're looking good on our bet Rico , even if it's more because of record than Play on the field....
  18. I think the Bills are still looking for a Line for the game as well
  19. He is definitely covering the ball with a second hand much more frequently this season, almost sometimes to a point where his balance is affected by it. His one armed carrying technique is basically the same as he used last year, which could have been better but was a vast improvement from 2002.
  20. Scribo and Wacka have it right. The rest is a bunch of Mularkey :-) Of course we'd go long to Evans on EVERY play if it were in fact possible.
  21. I agree. That's how it seems to have been going lately..
  22. Haven't looked at the game a second time yet, but I can't recall a single blown assignment or sack allowed by MW today. As stated he handled Ellis all day. He actually could have done a little better in run blocking today but did ok there as well. No panalties either. For an OL, that's a pretty good game. I know it's more fun to just to lambaste him and think you're smart, but apparently evaluating the play of an offensive lineman is not one of.......................... well let's just say don't quit your day job. ;-) I will say this though- Jennings had a VERY poor day today in pass protection. Gave up 3 big one's and was dominated one on one. Muy dissapointing.
  23. The hand was inded on the back of the receiver, although it did not impede the attempt to make a catch in any way. I'd say 3-4 years ago that it's a no call, but the way they try to benfit the WR these days I wasn't surprised. Hey , atleast he stayed with the WR , unlike #27.
  24. A.S. indeed should have been more disciplined on the snap counts today and that is dissaponitng, but it must also be stated that he was completely dominant against the run today not only making tackles himself, but playing the position like it's written up on the chalkboard. There were numerous plays where, in "string-out" responsibility, he would blow up the play by taking two blockers out of the equation by crashing them together himself, fully knowing he would not make the tackle but cause the tackle. He also had a sack/FF and a couple pressures. The mistakes did come at tough times but I'd atleast hesitate before trading that output for 2 offsides penalties. ;-)
