NFL refereeing is BY FAR the most inconsistent in all of sports and that’s saying something given what we all witness in basketball and hockey. The league should be embarrassed.

Let’s just cut to the chase: everything they do means nothing to you until they “get something right.” I agree with much of what you say about analytics. But regardless of my take on analytics, if you’re gonna hire somebody in the field, it may as well be a good hire and this appears to be just that. His reputation in the field precedes him.

So true. A flukier 10 game winning streak has never been seen. Fun as hell, but fluky AF. The favorable analytics we are seeing currently directly reflect the style of play we’ve seen so far. That style of play should be rewarded. Sometimes it isn’t like when an opposing goalie steals a game or the puck luck just isn’t there, but more often than not, that tenacity on the ice is rewarded.

My first thought is getting White, Milano, Star, and Wallace back in the lineup. Second thought is to contain Tannehill in the pocket because it was his legs more than anything that hurt us last year. I also expect lots of zone looks and bracket coverage on Jones. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Johnson, Poyer, or Hyde coming off the edge on blitz now and then, either.

Promo, I think you’re arguing with the wrong person on this. I was making a sarcastic remark to May Day 10’s criticism of KA as a lackey to the Pegulas in charge of the Junior Sabres. I’ve watched all 125 minutes, plus the shootout. Loving it so far.

Of course having the players to implement a scheme is important. Indeed, I think it’s most important and talented players trump scheme most of the time. And we’ve certainly have talented players. That said, what the Bills did with their back seven last Sunday night was nothing like what they did in the two meetings previously.

I think it’s more a question of Reid getting figured out vis a vis his over reliance on Hill and Kelce, which has forced Mahomes to be more patient with dinking and dunking longer drives which in turn offers more opportunity for turnovers. He’s turning it over more, but they are still putting up 30+ points per game. We still got the right QB though.
