  1. A request for composed thoughts? After a blowout loss where we looked bad? I give mad props to the OP for off the charts optimism.
  2. I bet Kim is on more than a few fantasy teams.
  3. I just can’t get past the idea of a grown man answering to, “Boog.” Worst announcing crew in history. Witten makes Steve Tasker sound erudite.
  4. I have great respect for those analysts who seek to compile statistics in the hope of providing meaningful insight into patterns, predictive behaviors, etc. These fine people are certainly not dweebs. Then there are those who only seek to cherry pick certain numbers and shoehorn them into a predetermined conclusion. “Dweeb” is too kind. Like this guy:
  5. I doubt Tre will be assigned to cover him, though.
  6. I don’t think the Titans have a receiver named White. Or do they?
  7. Are you 100% certain that no WRs missed their own hot reads yesterday?
  8. Pettine, like most good DCs when they control down and distance, dialed up some looks and pressures that had Allen completely baffled and he (Allen) was no where near capable of beating it. To say he sucked is an understatement. My bigger concern was Daboll’s ineffectiveness at helping to keep Allen out of unmanageable down and distance situations. It’s not like he hadn’t seen Pettine’s schemes before.
  9. This doesn’t bode well. I suspect it will impact him the rest of the year, especially if he rushes it.
  10. Yep. All that matters is how he gets off the mat and learns from the experience or not. Same goes for Daboll and everyone else with their spoons in the stew.
  11. Then you are utterly incapable of discerning a compliment to an opponent vs. offering an excuse for a bad QB performance. I submit it is your outrage that prevents you from being able to so.
  12. You took my post as offering an excuse for Allen vs. offering a compliment to Pettine? Allow me to capsulize: Allen sucked. Pettine was a huge reason for that. As for excuses, Allen certainly doesn’t seem to be offering any. Why should anyone else?
  13. Adult outrage indeed. And it’s indicative of how ridiculous fans can be. No where in any of that adult outrage is one, small tip of the hat to Pettine and the schemes he devised to confuse a rookie QB in one of the NFL’s toughest road venues. Never mind that Pettine has done that to good veteran QBs over the years and that we used to give him that credit when he was running our defense.
  14. I wonder if one of these analytic dweebs who insists on drilling down to the marrow in order to make a point, no matter how vapid, could do an analysis on the worst road performances by nine year veteran QBs.
  15. I never watch the games. Makes it easier to post my thoughts with a clear head afterwards.
  16. Udderly ridiculous.
  17. Imo, rushing the play resulting in poor mechanics and several wildly inaccurate throws in the first half, coupled with trying too hard to force the issue and making something happen when it just wasn’t there.
  18. I think it was Romo’s back and other injury concerns more than Dak Prescott, but your point is well taken none the less.
  19. If it’s the play I’m thinking of, that QB draw would have worked if Ducasse and Miller knew WTF they were doing. That said, I agree that Daboll didn’t give Allen and the O many options vs. Pettine.
  20. Smart people? In these parts? After a Bills loss? Good one, Gugny.
  21. I suggest you review all seven sacks when the All 22 becomes available. You may also want to credit Pettine for his schematics as well. And while you’re at it, take a look at all the plays where Allen tried to force the issue.
  22. ESPN should explore trades for Rodak.
