Gurley will be lucky if he doesn't pull a hammy in that cold thin air. Rams won't know what hit them after spending all week in warm, sunny LA reading their press clippings.

Rams are gonna lose in Denver in the cold, thin air with a California QB and dinged up receivers.

Are you familiar with the concept of schanenfreude? Have you heard of the phrase, “what goes around, comes around?” Get on your knees and pray for forgiveness from the football gods.

This pisses me off. If Slowposo sensed they lacked focus and were sloppy in practice, he should have said something then and there, ON WEDNESDAY. By contrast, Drury would have told every nonplayer to get out of the locker room and then proceed to rip everyone a new one. ZERO TOLERANCE is the only remedy but it seems we have “leaders” who don’t understand what leadership means. Slowposo does not deserve the A on his jersey if he can’t step up and say something when he sees something wrong. And to to make matters worse, Housley doesn’t seem to agree with Slowposo that practice was bad. Does he have the pulse of this team? I gotta wonder.

They were tank years bad. 0 for 7 on the pp. And it’s clear that for all the faster players we’ve added, we are no where near the Colorados of the league in terms of overall team speed. I’m always on Housley watch. Let’s see where they are on 10/31. Tough five game road trip coming up after serving up a stinker at home. Depending on how they respond, Housley’s career may be riding on the next nine days.

I take those analytics with a grain of salt as evidenced by the disclaimer at the end. If Housley is seeing something in Elie’s play that is not apparent to me, fine, I fully understand. But other than taking faceoffs in the D zone, Larsson offers absolutely nothing superior, imo; especially speed. That said, Housley is the coach and (presumably) knows far better than anyone in these parts, that’s for sure.

Someone needs to be fired over Mahomes right now.

Haven’t been paying attention to any of the hype, but I’m curious as to how many times Belichick’s genius vs. rookie QBs has been mentioned by the talking heads. Never mind that Mahomes isn’t a rookie. Anyway, I don’t see how either defense stops the other’s offense in this one. But I think KC’s offense poses more problems for NE***. Bellyache can’t take away one single facet of KC’s personnel and dare you to beat him with somebody else because all of KC’s offensive skill players can hurt you. I just don’t think NE*** can say the same.

Not that I’m going to defend Housley, but: Maybe Housley wants to move Mitts to the wing and have Larsson center that line? That would lessen Mitts’s responsibilities but wouldn’t do anything to help him develop his 200 foot game as a center. And while he hasn’t been lighting it up (yet), Mitts’s two-way game is improving and he hasn’t hurt us, either. Or maybe Housley and Botts need to see what they have in Larsson playing with this new team while the season is still young? Showcase him for a possible trade? The move flies in the face of the conventional hockey wisdom that says you don’t mess with a good thing while it’s working. Did Elie do anything glaringly wrong when he was in the lineup?

Can’t see it this week, not against the Texans defense. Gonna be a hard slog, I suspect. Then again, I thought the same going into Minny. Hoping Daboll can scheme up some kind of passing offense to keep us out of bad down/distance situations because I don’t think we can rely on the run game to do that against Watt, Clooney and Co.

May have been me, but I thought I waited until after the second period before demanding both Housley and Beaulieu be removed. We were here outplayed by an inferior Rangers team but road superior goaltending to a win and looked good against a superior Vegas team. A nice result, but I’ll have to hold off on Housley’s coronation as coach of the year. Let’s see where we are at the end of October.

The ship is sinking? I submit this ship has been sitting at the bottom of the ocean since Housley guided them to the first 31st place finish in league history. He had no answers all of last season and I see no reason to think he will magically find them with this sorry group of under achievers. We we will know by Halloween. Until I see anything different than what we’ve witnessed the previous several seasons, I can’t be convinced Housley needs to stay. Can’t fire the players, after all.

Sean McDermott: "Culture Trumps Strategy" ?
K-9 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Folks aren't appreciating the depths to which the relationship between Dareus and McBeane had deteriorated. A divorce was inevitable and I'm not sure it was as easy to just have him hang around as some might think. Especially in light of a new staff with new standards, etc. trying to establish a certain order. -

Gilmore got lucky there. -
Well, we will know by Halloween as the historical data surrounding that date and where you are in the standings strongly correlates as to whether you make the playoffs or not. Housley has to go, I agree. There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO COME OUT FLAT for your opener, AT HOME, in front of fans HUNGRY for some sign of life and improvement. That's on him, imo. Perhaps he should cancel tomorrow's practice seeing as how well that worked already this week. Me, I'd bag skate this sorry group of losers.
