  1. Much better period, but the clueless, poor decision making continues. Kudos to Bogo with five blocks through two. Pominville can join Okposo on waivers. They are both dead weights on this team. Their experience is great, but their best days are behind them and they can't hack it any longer. The poor decisions, across all the lines and d pairs continues to baffle. How can a team be so collectively stupid, so consistently? If that's not preparation, I don't know what is. That's coaching more than anything.
  2. As evidenced (AGAIN) on the PP to start the 2nd, this team just isn't very intelligent on the ice. Now why is that?
  3. Damn straight. Our boy has "stature."
  4. Kyle Okposo is a liability and that's as polite as I can say it. A lazy high sticking penalty to start the game that cost us two PP goals against and he has NO business being on the first PP unit. He makes crap passes, takes shots too easily stopped, and is a drag to the rest of the unit. Housley continues to be clueless with this team.
  5. McCabe with the Sabres third penalty of the period. On the bright side, looks like the good Eichel showed up.
  6. Could not have drawn up a worst start. 4 minute major in the first two minutes of play, two power play goals against and counting. Great. Another penalty. This team blows chunks.
  7. He's got an agenda for sure. Have to consider that when weighing anything he says as a result.
  8. Should we list the pro bowl defenders Allen has faced already this season? Jeebus, these people are idiots.
  9. Agree 100%. But that's not the issue I have with Ledyard's apparent bias for and against certain prospects that he was either high or low on.
  10. Maybe it's what he didn't say? I can't remember his tweets about Allen verbatim, but I don't recall him explaining away Allen's struggles because of a poor supporting cast. I remember something to the tune of, "yeah, Allen's supporting cast isn't the best, but he would suck anyway" or something to that effect. If I'm not remembering his Allen tweets correctly, I'd be happy to be corrected.
  11. Glad you qualified that further because I was beginning to think that finding out he had Jewish blood is what killed him.
  12. Another three weeks of this and Landry is going to go off. It’s contagious! Bless ‘em.
  13. I find it ironic that Dareus is now embracing the role he was against playing here, in this scheme, under these coaches. Great player (when he wanted to be). Not a a good match with the new staff in Buffalo.
  14. Uh-oh, appears Berglund is in Housley's doghouse. Good face off man, not much else, especially speed. He his PAINFULLY slow on the ice. And he really screwed the pooch on Vegas's first goal the other night.
  15. I know what it all means, but thanks for the edification none the less. Somebody should write a book about the evolution of football terminology. There really isn't much new under the sun, but coaches just can't resist renaming various concepts, etc. And I get a kick out of the football "pundits" who use the nomenclature in their tweets and other reports.
  16. Perhaps I’m misreading their report? It says $100m for BOTH Buffalo and Detroit with $50m is going to LaSalle park. That may mean that the other $50m is earmarked for other parks, etc. They could have been clearer in their report, regardless.
  17. WBEN has it wrong I seems. All other reports have the gift at $100m EACH for both Buffalo and Detroit.
  18. Every time I read these, I hear the music from Ken Burns’s “The Civil War.”
  19. Ah, the old green dog from the cover 2 spy. How about some spider 2 y banana? Gotta love football geeks spouting the nomenclature.
  20. You’d prefer the brown pants instead?
