This Monday night game reminds me of when the Globetrotters play the Generals. -
Is it conceivable that Tyrod Taylor comes back to Buffalo?

Why would Cleveland trade him at this point? -
Did you see the performance Foles put up in the playoffs? Backup or not, nothing about his performance in either the NFC championship game or the Super Bowl was “limited.”

Where are all the darnold rosen and Mayfield fans?
K-9 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand, but seeing as how it will be a few years at the earliest before we can really assess who got the right or wrong, better or worse Josh, it seems like a waste of time currently. People on both sides get hot flashes whenever either one does something good or bad on a play to play basis. That’s just no way to judge players, especially struggling rookies. -

Sad look for Bills fans when they find comfort in the struggles of other rookies. Pitiful, really. -
It all comes back to coaching and scheme

I’m interested in seeing a list of teams with as little offensive talent as ours that are moving the ball and putting up points. -
The defense, especially Scandella let him down on all three goals. But on both Domi goals, Hutton had clear looks at both shots. Great plays by a good player in Domi, but Hutton could have made those saves given his view and the time he had. Yep, we noticed last night during the play. Eichel played a great game last night. He was on the ice for three of our goals and made his presence felt at both ends of the rink. If we can win games without having to rely on him making the score sheet, we are way ahead of it.
-
Can’t tell if this is a defense of Scandella or not. He’s been terrible. I like McCabe, but he has his WTF moments, too. Like failing to stand up Domi on his second goal tonight. Love his offensive game, though. Great point about Bogo. Need him to stay healthy. He’s got an edge to his game that is infectious, I think. Dahlin plays a sublime game. He does so many nondescript key little things during a game he’s easy to overlook. If he doesn’t develop one step further, he’s already a top four pairing in this league. And he’s only 18! I give Housley credit for pairing him with Nelson who, like you said, just plays a steady game.

Here’s a sign we may have turned the corner: we didn’t get all world goaltending and Eichel didn’t have to make the scoresheet in order for us to win, although he played a heckuva game, regardless. If we can continue to get secondary scoring, look out. Mitts needs to just keep doing what he’s doing and not get frustrated. He is showing he belongs in the meantime. You can see him figuring things out and he’s been finding the open areas more and more. Just a matter of time. Of course, I can’t end a post without at least one point of the finger. And it’s pointing squarely at Scandella. He has played like ass all year and is showing no signs of turning it around to this point.

For some reason, after a while, all the threads start to sound like the adults in Charlie Brown.

Jon Ledyard on the young QBs (Mahomes, Watson, Allen, et.al)

It’s like Lameyard intentionally sets out to undermine his own credibility. That or he really doesn’t watch the games or care to get bettter acquainted with the subject matter. Hack is too kind a word for him. -

Hysterical. Nice find. -
Did McCoy Quit or Did the Bills Shelve Him?

Yep. That ankle twist looked gruesome. And he wasn’t even limping afterwards. Unnatural flexibility. -
No.

Great point. I’ve noticed this about Daboll, too. It just sucks when you don’t have players talented enough to win matchup battles with any kind of regularity.

No.

It was nice to read this article. However, I wasn’t happy to read that Tuesday’s practice was conducted by Matt Ellis and devoted to a “skills” session. It was as if Housley was easing them back into it after being off Monday, a complete 180 from what I’d rather have seen; a grueling, fast-paced skating session to get them immediately refocused on the task at hand. We haven’t played in four days and it’s not easy to knock off rust against one of the fastest skating teams in the league. We will know in the first 10 minutes where their heads are at.

Here’s why I’m not panicking: It’s fricken football! Just. Fricken. Football. If there’s a list of things not to panic about, especially because you have zero control over outcomes, football has got to be at or near the top.

Would Tyrod have won the Texan & Indy games - and -

He wouldn’t have lost the Texans game (neither would Allen, imo). Colts would have beaten us, regardless. -
