On a few occasions yesterday I saw Allen calling out a blitzer and blocking assignments, possibly even calling an audible because there was something he was seeing and didn't like. I don't think he did that in his first couple of games and to me that's a sign of development.
C'mon man .... There was plenty of separation. By the time the ball hit the ground, both defenders had separated from Benjamin leaving him about 10 yards behind.
I'm going to guess Daboll's mindset heading into this game ...
The Titan's are 25th against the run so they'll expect us to run. To fool them we'll run Shady 5 times and have Josh Allen throw 40 times. They'll never expect it.
It's easier to put up yardage when you're running for your life. Being able to leap over tall LB's helps too. Shady should be getting 16 carries a game, 16 on the year is pathetic offensive play calling.
I think he had a bad game yesterday is because he is young and the only reason he is starting is because our other QB stinks. Not to mention his line stinks, his WR's stink and his OC stinks.
That pretty much covers it.
The Golden Girls could turn our o-line into turnstyles and I fear for the life of Allen. Even when Allen gets rid of the ball his WR's have hands of stone.
When Shady is getting 5 carries per game you have to seriously wonder wtf Daboll is thinking when calling plays.
On defense they seem to be playing conservative and not playing aggressive. I think we blitzed twice yesterday, one resulting in a sack from our rookie safety. For the love of all that is holy, attack the offense like they did vs the Vikings. Forcing mistakes is a good thing.
