  1. I think he’s worth the money….as long as he’s utilized correctly. Another instance in which the GM and the coaching staff haven’t been on the same page. His production increased as the year went on and I hope that that continues. He’s really become a solid blocker and reliable in the pass game as well.
  2. I bet he would’ve knocked down the pass on 4th and 18
  3. I would trade one of everyone on D not named Rousseau or Milano.
  4. Good post. I’m impressed 😉
  5. Good. He’s a great kid and has all the tools to be special. But he’s just very good. Considering the state of our OL and playmakers, I’d rather invest that money into the offense and replace him with a cheaper option
  6. @YoloinOhio hope all is well brother!!!
  7. From what I’ve watched- -he has elite vision, which is the most underrated attribute of RBs imo. -for a man of his size and strength, his agility and ability it tight quarters might be the best I’ve ever seen. - close to elite contact balance. -maybe not “elite” elusiveness and explosion, but it’s close - very good receiver and in pass protection I bet he runs a sub 4.5 40. he’s special- top 5 player in the draft regardless of position imo. that said- i’d much rather have a WR or an OL.
  8. Yeah, we could’ve drafted another Cody ford and Spencer brown had we not taken motor and moss! 😘
  9. That was the case in 2022. Partly due to the OC. Partly due to limited OL and WR units. We definitely have a lot of work to do.
  10. My point is: lots of QB would take a step back playing under similar circumstances. There were several factors that contributed to his “regression” or whatever people are saying. He had a lame duck OC Lombardi. A lame duck HC. Zero pass protection. Zero run game. He broke a rib in week 1. He had a torn labrum. Lost his best OL for the season and his 2nd best OL for a handful of games. Lost his go to WR for over half the year. Lost his #2 WR for a handful of games.
  11. He also lost his only great OL for the season early on. Slater was a huge loss. Allen missed most of the season. Imagine if Dawkins and Gabe missed the same time? And gabe isn’t nearly as good as Allen. I don’t think Herbert has earned the right to be ranked ahead of Allen yet. Just like Allen hadn’t earned the right to be ranked ahead of Mahomes prior to this year…. Yet many did.
  12. This is your point. Thanks for stating it. nothing else to see here. /endthread
  13. And the idiots choose Gannon. Big shock
  14. I’ve watched enough football to know: -that there are different levels of egregiousness when committing penalties. when there isn’t one defensive holding/dpi penalty thrown all game, they were clearly letting them get away with the less egregious infractions. That was a less egregious infraction. -keeping it consistent is the only thing teams and fans care about. If they would have kept it consistent, they wouldn’t have thrown a flag. we’ve seen them NOT throw flags on MUCH more egregious holds.
  15. This just means that the cards will hire the NFC guy and keep the afc stronger
  16. On the fact that his stats are similar while playing for a rookie play caller as opposed to a hall of fame play caller. On the fact that I watched him sit back there with zero pressure for 5-6 seconds vs a team that had 70 sacks. On the fact that a Mahomes throws wide open TD after wide open TD. On the fact that they have the greatest tight end ever. Diggs is good but he’s not Kelce. on the fact that those things actually matter when it comes to qb performance. Believe it or not
  17. He’s had no turnovers in 3 of 8 games. But you can cherry pick “fumbles” as opposed to discussing the stat that actually matters, fumbles lost. so yes, there’s at least a decent chance that he wouldn’t turn the ball over.
  18. He’s not as good as Patrick while Allen plays in Dorsey’s system, behind the current OL throwing to our current pass catchers as opposed to playing in Andy Reid’s system, behind KCs OL and throwing to KCs current pass catchers. flip flop the two QBs and I think your answer would be different. Not like we’ll ever find out.
  19. How many years did Mike Mcdaniels call plays in SF? How many years did Zach Taylor call plays with the rams? Doug Pederson? Matt Nagy? There are many instances in which the right hand man of a genius play caller gets a HC offer with hopes that he knows the system like the back of his hand and can replicate the same success. But not Bienemy. Odds are he’s either a really bad interviewer or a scumbag.
  20. They put neosporin on a broken back. Did the minimum with hope that Josh’s mobility and Kromer it would be enough to mask it. They were wrong. Big time. Time to let all the free agents on D go and build the OL properly.
  21. Then you should do a better job of explaining your point. I gave you 4 examples of the previous 4 Super Bowl winning teams who’s defense held the opposition to under 21 points. 4 in a row. Yet defense doesn’t matter in “the Mahomes era”. That same era where Mahomes scored 9 points in a Super Bowl. That comment is just wrong. Already wasted too much time on this. Defense doesn’t matter. My bad.
  22. There are several reasons why the eagles lost. Say that. But don’t say the penalty didn’t decide the game. It absolutely decided the game. It’s just not the only reason the eagles lost. Two different things
  23. Stats also admit that that was the only instance in the entire game in which a DB held receiver. it was a ticky tac penalty to decide the champion. A penalty that occurs on almost every pass play. A penalty that decided the champion. couldn’t have been a worse ending to the season. Fitting
  24. Yeah, defense didn’t matter 2 years ago when tampa rolled them and KC scored 9. It didn’t matter last year when the rams held Cinci to 20. It didn’t matter when the pats held the rams. Or when KC held SF to 20. Or when the pats held the rams to 3 points. As if 2023 was the first year in the “Mahomes era” You can’t make this stuff up
  25. What does this have to do with the previous 4 super bowl champions holding their opponents to under 21 points? What does this have to do with my point—— defense does matter? are you also saying “defense doesn’t matter”? That was the original title of the thread. OP has now changed it
