Good. Maybe we can snag him in rd 2
-
Seriously. All the guys projected to go 20-30 could go 11-20…. Or even 30-40-50. this is why I don’t hate Downs @27. That’s certainly not my preference, but I just want to add players that will improve our offense. If the value isn’t there, so be it. This draft is crap. It’s almost as if whoever we draft @ 27 will be drafted higher than they should be drafted. Add a difference maker. Can a slot WR be considered a difference maker? Looking at last years offense, I’d answer yes.

Interesting- would make sense for Philly to make the move to 2. Houston could get their guy in bijan. Philly could likely trade down a spot or 3 and recoup some of the picks it paid to get up to 2. Can’t wait for Thursday
-
Agreed. He’d be ideal in a trade up in rd 2, but it’s a big risk. He might be gone. I absolutely love him. He’d be one helluva player in this offense. He’s got it all, minus size, for a slot WR
-
Does it matter if we’re concerned with his hand size? Lol. That’s why you wouldn’t want him? Ffs. People are crazy

We tried to trade up one spot for Carter but the price of picks in next years draft were too steep considering that Jared Goff is still our starter. With the 6th pick, the Detroit Lions select -Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois. We have a clear need at corner and love what Witherspoon brings to the table. Intelligence, ferocity, confidence, man ability. He’s a true lockdown corner in our opinion. Add that to being one of the best CB run defenders we’ve ever seen…. This kid is special. @turftoeand the raiders are on the clock.

Same here. Pickens then Moore then Pierce. I was hoping for one of the 3. Missed all of them

Maybe I’ve just been there during peak days/times, but every time I’ve been there, the lines and wait times for anything were ridiculous. I agree, the rental car and baggage claim was efficient

Peter King/FMIA/PFT 1st Round Mock Draft
NewEra replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s not so bad if you look at other rankings. Dane Brugler, who I prefer over anyone in the business, has him 41st overall. Ahead of several players that are often being mocked in rd 1: Tippman 43, Uzomah, 44, McDonald 46, Jack Campbell 52, John Michael-Schmitz 59, Dawand Jones 62, Cam Smith 66. Considering the talent in this draft class, taking downs @ 27 would be a reach….but nowhere near a ridiculous reach. I think he’s the 2nd best slot WR in the class (behind a WR that will likely go to 20). He doesn’t have any question marks about his ability. The only question mark about where he’ll be drafted is the value of the position he plays, Slot only. Many don’t view slot only WRs as worthy of 1st rd picks, for good reason. You can usually find solid slot for 2-7M a year. He’s going to be a very good player as long as he isn’t drafted to a terrible situation imo. The kid can get open and catch the ball on the reg. He’s pretty filthy. that said- I don’t think we’d get value in drafting him @ 27- trading down and drafting him is optimal (if he is in fact their target). But how far can we go down and still get him. Tough question to answer but I could see him going in the first few picks of rd 2. -
And no mention of coaching.

This is crazy talk

DHopkins would cost a 2nd round pick...would you do it?
NewEra replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ll get right on that! -
I could 💯 see us trading up into 21-24 for a WR. We could trade 27 and a 3rd for 21-24 and a 4th That’s not unreasonable imo. We traded up for a 1st rd graded player last year, I don’t see why they wouldn’t do the same this year if someone slips. Some may disagree on who they deem to a 1st rd player, I certainly did last year, but addison is the guy and I think the Gmen see him in the same light. To get him, we have to get ahead of the NYG- if he’s still available

He wasn’t happy losing in the playoffs…. -
Detroit, Philly please

Orlando airport is the worst airport experience I’ve encountered. Been there 4 times and every time, the lines for food are miles long. Wait to sit down in any eatery is an hour+. The wait for the American Express club is an hour+ I detest that airport.

but why not divulge what the injury was? It’s just strange to me. We rarely see that happen and I think one has to wonder. He suffered a Jones fracture - had surgery, extensive rehab and was cleared. 2 days after being cleared, he re-Injured it, had another surgery and extensive rehab. Then, the following year, he was injured and missed the season on an undisclosed injury. Another Jones fracture? Same foot? Who knows? No one Cleared or not cleared, that worries me. I wouldn’t consider him in rd 2. The only thing I love about his game is his run blocking. I think he could be a WR2 if he stays healthy. Big IF though and not with the risk imo. JSNs injuries worry me as well…. But we know what his injuries are. Ankle and hamstring. He’s a much better route runner and has better hands than Wilson imo.
-
That’s ok, you think Michael Wilson is a 2nd rounder. 😉 As a potential draft selection, I think it’s very strange he has yet to disclose the injury he suffered vs ND that ended his season. Maybe he disclosed it to teams that asked about it at the combine? I don’t think I’d draft him in rd 3 if I didn’t know. That’s just weird imo. If it’s no big deal it should be known. Keeping it a mystery makes me think it’s a problem.

Can’t believe some of you guys have Michael Wilson so high. I wouldn’t consider him til rd 3, preferably 4. this list is 💩 no offense. -
