For sure. My point is- it’s better to have one consistent great mind whispering in the QBs ear for his career than having several voices, systems, concepts and verbiage. Possibly changing every 2-3 years. How many top tier QBs are being coached head coaches that weren’t OCs? Justin Herbert and Lamar. 1 playoff win between them. Again…..there’s more than one way to skin a cat….. and there’s clearly a best way to skin one. Who is saying he “needs”? It helps. Do you think Mahomes would be the same without reid?

Allen and Diggs are the best pitch and catch duo in the league. That’s what happens when you have a pair like that. You score. I’m not saying Dorsey isn’t worthy (although I might be in a few weeks). I just think our scoring has much more to do with Allen/Diggs than Dorsey’s concepts, scheme, play calling. Right…. But let’s not act like the current Josh allen is the same josh allen we saw under Daboll

Nothing is 💯…… If I had an elite qb, I’d much rather have an offensive head coach. It allows him to stay in the same system with the same voice and football mind mentoring him. Josh Allen has gotten worse since the voice in his ear left. That’s clear to me right now. He can still turn it around, but Daboll leaving has hurt Josh to date. Learning and mastering one good offensive system >>>> having to learn multiple systems and possibly switching systems every couple years.

Was Allen concussed? Speculation with some circumstantial evidence.

Interesting. Thanks for putting this together. The stats pre and post hit are telling. Definitely looks like a possibility. Massive dude smashing you in the back of your head while you’re on the ground. -
Bills are adjusting to a lot and are going to get better

I agree that it’s fine…..as long as we don’t see a Josh similar to the Josh that we saw on mnf more than 1-2 more times this year. The speed of Poyer and Hyde currently worries me more than Bernard and the OL -
Same. Jury posting it for the sake of the weekly thread

He wasn’t a liability for the most part. As it turns out, his inability to align the defense on Halls TD run made him a liability for that moment. Minus that play, we likely win that game despite 17 doing his best to give the game away overall, he was better than I had anticipated. Would be nice if he can build on this and continue to improve. The raiders are going to try and punch him in the mouth

I don’t know if he’ll ever change. This is how he plays football. We just have to protect him better, get him some counseling and sideline support. Stewing and sulking on the bench doesn’t seem to help him much

Sure, that’s the best part of his resume. When you’re comparing 2 Ocs and 1 of them has only one season under his belt (hunch happened to be too 3 offense), I don’t see how anyone could answer which OC is better. At least let this season play out. From my experience in life, most professionals improve at their job in year 2 and forward

Great points. Dorsey has had 1 season so there obviously isn’t much ammunition. In his only season as OC he was third in scoring and his offense averaged more yard per game than the genius Brian Daboll. Blake Bortles breaking bills passing records isn’t very impressive to me considering how the game has changed since the records were set. that said….Hackett might be better, but I’d rather roll the dice with the guy that might be on the upswing rather than the guy that I believe will never be a champion

Lol. 🤷🏻♂️ about that but maybe

From my memory, I’d say that a higher percentage of the board preferred to replace Dorsey after last year. I certainly did

Rewatching the Game.....Enough Blame to Go Around, BUT....

Thanks- I find it difficult to get an accurate view of his progressions without the all 22 because it’s rare that you can see where the safeties and some cbs are in coverage. That being the case, you can’t really tell if he correctly “ignored” his first or second read. kincaid caught 4 of 4. -
The Bills Should Inquire About Hunter Renfrow’s Availability.

Thanks. Great post -
That’s called fooling the opponent! Disguise! Do the one thing that you shouldn’t do and you’ll catch the opponent off balance! 😉
