Sorry, are we talking about Frank Clark in 2023 or Frank Clark that had 10.5 sacks in 12 playoff games in KC? Right. He was a force in every playoff run except the year Cinci took you guys down. Mahomes played in every playoffs game….. sorry, but being banged up isn’t being injured. Everyone is banged up this time of year. yeah- mcdermott was great all year without Milano, white, von and daquan. Then Bernard, Benford and Rapp got hurt and missed the KC game. Kelce had a field day vs Bernard’s replacement AJ Klein….. as did pacheco. A plethora of starters were either out or ineffective due to injury. KC has been VERY lucky with regards to Injury. The Bills have not. Winning Super Bowls takes a lot of luck along with great play and coaching. Grats on the stars aligning

I’d be fine with any of the 3 WRs too. I love jenkins- I’m just wondering where his fit is on this team. Can he play 1T or is he Ed’s backup? I question whether or not he can be a “good” 1T. Seems more like a 3T or a big 5T minus the pass rush ability.

That’s only a better question if your name is Saul Goodman. You have 2 all pros (jones and sneed) and neither has ever missed a playoff game. In the past, you had Clark and mathieu. Neither missed entire playoff games. Mathieu missed most of the 13 second game and your D had no answer. Luckily for you McD had your back. the bills had invested more in defense than KC. That’s why we had more all pros. What good does an all pro defender do if they aren’t there in the playoffs? They do no good. i forgot to mention all pro Micah Hyde missing 2022. Volts of resources spent on great players that aren’t healthy in the playoffs. again- how many all pros has Mahomes missed due to injury in the playoffs? the one season you suffered injuries on offense, you got beat down in the Super Bowl. Since then…..what good players have you lost due to injury? I’ll wait

I just don’t see the route tree in thomas. He has the athletic ability to develop it though. Just haven’t seen him show it to us
-
I hear ya. I’m not saying he’s definitely going to be a WR1- but I think he could be. Lots of day 2 picks weren’t seen as possible WR1, until they were. Many of them ran in the 4.5s and weren’t exceptional athletically. I think he has just enough of everything mixed with great hands to become great in the right situation.
-
Nah, I don’t think he’s an averge athlete at all. I think he has average speed. His core is incredibly strong. His hips are as oily as a great corner. He can make adjustments to pass and routes that many other WRs can’t make…..and he catches just about everything. His hands are incredible
-
I don’t think Thomas has the makings of a wr1. I love what he brings to the table, but an advanced route tree doesn’t seem to be one of them. I also don’t think there’s much of a chance he drops to us. I think Franklin is the obvious pick for us now….but I don’t think he’ll be there unless we trade up. I also think Polk could be that guy. The kid has incredible hands and a very good all around WR that can do a bit of everything.

The fact that you don’t snicker about Gabe Davis says it all. He’s the epitome of a JAG. He’s. The guy has had 5 good games in 4 years with Josh Allen throwing (and sometimes forcing) him the ball. All pro and heavily paid tredavious- injured basically misses 2 seasons all pro and heavily paid Von Miller- injured and basically misses 2 seasons. all pro and heavily paid Matt Milano- injured and misses and entire season. How many all pro and heavily paid players has Kclost due to injury since Mahomes has been winning SBs?

What are your feelings on James Cook RB1
NewEra replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s on his way to being a top 5 back if he can clean the drops and fumbles -
Knox- average TE Gabe- poor WR2 Diggs- was elite- finished the season as an average WR2 Shakir- up and coming good slot WR. OL, Kincaid and cook are good- cook also dropped 3 wide open TDs and his fumbles contributed to losses. oVs had no clue how to use Kincaid. Sherfield and Harty stunk. Dorsey stunk Brady 🤷🏻♂️ maybe, maybe not. He wasn’t working with that much

I can’t see him getting by Dallas

No

Eager to hear your take on Ja’lynn Polk.

Well if you want to include TEs, we have 2 6’4 plus tight ends….. how many team have more than 2 solid 6’4 targets? The chiefs have 2. The niners have 1 (Jennings is ok….but we can get a guy like him in the later rounds). Detroit has 2. The ravens have 2. The dolphins have none. The rams had 1 (a decent higbee) when they won the Super Bowl. you need to make plays and execute. Having 3+ good 6’’3 pass catchers definitely isn’t a thing. sure, it would be a bonus to have another good one, but not at the expense of getting open and catching passes. Guys that are 6’0-6’2 can get the job done just fine
-
It’s a definite worry for sure.
-
I think all this height stuff is 💩. We need guys that can get off press in order to play outside, get separation and catch. We have a bigger target in Kincaid. how many WR1 or great WR2 are 6’3 and over? Mike evans, Tee Higgins, DK Metcalf, Nico Collins, George Pickens- then there’s London, Sutton, neither I’d say are great, but I’ll give you them. 7 WR 6’3 and over that fit what you’re looking for. Maybe a couple others that haven’t yet proven one way or another. Meanwhile the chiefs and niners who are playing for the Lombardi don’t have any good WRs 6’3 and up. sure, it would be nice to have a guys 6’4+ but they’re rare…..we need guys that can beat press, separate and catch. 6 foot+ is just fine for our needs. I agree, that I’d prefer that we don’t draft any more short armed guys, 5’11 and under.
-
All the more reason resigning Jones is big. This draft looks to be very weak at 1T from what I’ve collected to date
-
It’s not a no brainer when you don’t give your pro bowl RB the ball inside the 5 yard line. the only thing that makes it difficult is the money. And it’s a huge obstacle…. But the fit would be great. It’s not smart to continue to have Josh Allen as our only goal line back. Ty Johnson had zero rushing TDs. Pro bowler Cook had 2. Murray had 4 (and wasn’t good in the red zone). Our QB had 15. It would be wise to lessen his load and hits taken inside the 5. The fit is there. The money likely won’t be. you can admit that it would be a nice upgrade in adding a different dimension to our offense that teams would have to plan against
-
I agree he’ll have more offers than Elliott and likely will make more money….but we’re talking about a 30 year old RB in the NFL. It’s conceivable he doesn’t get a solid offer from a contender. Like I’ve said- I don’t think it’s likely…..but it is certainly not out of the realm of possibility.
-
Well, that’s kind of my point. Zeke got 3 from a non contender. If Henry’s best offer is 4-5M from a non contender, maybe he’ll accept 3M to join us and chase a ring. Big paying, but I think he’d be worth 3M. We’re maybe Siran Neal and Matakavich 3M
-
I agree that this is likely what we will do, but Henry could be a difference maker for this offense. Having 2 unstoppable forces in the backfield would be tough to stop with the proper playcalling. But it all depends on his market- if teams are offering him 4-5M, maybe he’d take 3. Is he going to make 7-9M at this stage in his career? 🤷🏻♂️ but I know he doesn’t have a Lombardi. Pairing him and cook would be legit if we can get him on a ring chasing contract. Unlikely though…. I agree
-
I’d be excited about he and cook. I could see it for the right price

Boyd is a slot imo. I don’t think he’s a fit unless he’s making under 2M, even then, I don’t he makes sense

Should the Bills trade up for their own “Julio Jones”
NewEra replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good luck with that
